I have read a book where ppl fight aliens therefore it is true.
You can choose what you want to appear in the start menu, including the run command, by opening taskbar and start menu properties and hitting customize in the start menu tab. Same as in XP.
I've been reading that people have been having problems with games in Windows 7, and the GUI has been changed, I can't find the run prompt or command line prompt or anything. Basically, I'll have to relearn how to use a piece of shit OS rather than sticking with my perfectly fine Windows XP that I've had running for over a year.
dohoho
as usual it boils down to "I read it on the internet" and "I'm scared of change"
when will XP loving idiots learn to find better excuses

The only good excuses are "I can't afford 7" or "I have critical programs that only work on XP", and that last one is taken care of with Windows 7 Pro.

Except when critical programs run like shit in a VM (especially a crappy one like VPC), like many do.

Touche, I should have said "sometimes taken care of".
You must be disabled if you can't find stuff in Win7. It took me 30 minutes to get used to the stuff like pinning stuff to taskbar and other new stuff but if you really can't find anything then google it.
Op you should have expected all the XP hate.

I'm pretty sure he did, considering his last two "I don't like Windows 7" threads.
I'm no oldie but XP is pretty good for gaming. But if you really don't want 7 go ahead and waste your money. I'm thinking of upgrading too.
hilarious backstory, OP hates Windows in general: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=704612
he's probably still on his pirated XP, and if he just wants to get rid of 7 he obviously didn't pay the "$300"
hate to think what he'd do were he to see how much a mac costs
I sure do hate Windows, but for some odd reason I decided to actually try it instead of bashing something that I didn't try on the off chance that I was wrong.

If you hate windows so much go get a mac.

So you tried it, hated it because you were prepared to hate it, and came here to bash it anyway.

Frankly I don't see the need for this thread except to troll. You use linux and set up a dual boot, so you can't tell me you didn't know which partition you needed to delete. And finding out how to fix XP's boot sector would only take a quick google search.
[editline]09:41PM[/editline]
Hell, googling "uninstall dual boot" would have given you your whole answer in about 10 seconds.
My 60 year old mother just switched from XP to 7 and she seemed to be able to make the change without whining like a bitch.

You guys don't get that I really was trying Windows 7 and taking some time to see if I could actually use it, because I know Windows XP is going down the shitter. But since I don't get how to use it, I just wanted to remove it and you guys had to get all over me because it is impossible for somebody to not like Windows 7, nothing to do with it's interface.
I use the classic start menu and the Windows file explorer and crap like that has changed compared to XP.

You can still use windows classic in Windows 7.
All the features are still there, they're just put away better.
It's the difference between a kitchen knife and a swiss army knife.
Well, how do I turn on the classic start menu and all that kind of crap?
Right click desktop - Personalize.
Or, click start and type theme.
Come on granny, Windows 7 ain't that hard to learn.

Plus, he uses Linux, and if he's able to install linux he can remove windows. He's trolling, guys.

classic theme =/= classic start menu. Win 7 has the former and not the latter

Because Linux is totally hard to use.
Because Linux is totally hard to use.
Harder than deleting a partition.
Doesn't deleting partitions mess up Windows' bootloader?
