If you use Linux, and truly understand it, then you should be able to either fix the bootloader yourself or successfully Google this problem.
In-case you cannot comprehend this, here:

That program should help if you are not knowledgeable about the bootloader Windows uses.

Around and around and around we go...
i have discovered the OP likes furry porn.
thanks for the help, guys
i have discovered the OP likes furry porn.
Lol
Harder than deleting a partition.
No, not really. Using Linux is pretty much the same as using Windows. Casual users of both OSes will still have no clue what a partition is if the OS makers did a good job of hiding it away.
I can't belive people are actually falling for this troll. There is no one that retarded or ignorant to not realize that Windows 7 is better in every way over XP. Any differences in "gameplay" are so minute it doesn't even matter.
Leave the troll alone.
Windows 7 was actually designed to be easier to use than XP, so there goes that dumb arguement. Do yourself a favour and use Windows 7.
I've been reading that people have been having problems with games in Windows 7.
I can back up this statement. When I was on XP, I can could run Fallout 3 with no lag at all at max everything, and this was on a nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX. I go to 7, try and play Fallout 3, and I get lag, on a nVidia GeForce 9800 GT.
Keep Windows 7 and use it more often.
I used to have XP and I'm very happy that I moved onto Windows 7.

I have had nothing but a good experience with 7, everything runs as good as it did with XP if not better. The only game I have not been able to run has been star trek: legacy. I have two 5770's (not in crossfire though).
This is the same as the morons that insisted Windows 98 was better for gaming when XP came out in 2001.
They were wrong then and you're wrong now. 4 Characters; DX10
To actually be helpful, there's no BOOT folder on that screenshot you posted so its fine to format it off.
Because Linux is totally hard to use.
I knew you'd come back with that. If you're able to boot from a LiveCD and run a setup process which involves creating and formatting partitions, you're smart enough to boot from a windows CD and delete a partition or just download partitionmagic. Hell, gparted IS a liveCD.

If they're using Ubuntu or Linux Mint perhaps, but I know for a fact that the OP has used / is using Arch.
lol i use lunix so now i bash windows because it sux lolololol
I made this thread because I didn't know if removing Windows 7's partition would fuck over my existing Windows XP install somehow.
No it wouldn't.
If it did anything it might mess up your bootloader.
If it did that you could use the XP install disk to fix it.
People in this thread told you that info, and also told you you're an idiot for favouring XP over 7.
Was that simple enough for you?

I don't get how it logically would, if you have a pizza, and one slice contains something you're allergic to, you take that slice away, and the rest of the pizza remains.
I've had problems with Windows bootloaders back in 2003.

Except your pizza doesn't have a bootloader on slice #1. Nice try though.

This is exactly what I've been meaning.

Windows have moved on a lot since then, boyo. Installing XP would mess up the bootloader more than removing Win7, since it's about as subtle as Brian Blessed with a chainsaw and overwrites the bootloader with its own. Obviously since you're a linuxfag who feels he is contractually obliged to bash anything windows related (Y SHUD WE PAY MONEY FOR AN OPERATING SYSTEM BAWWWW) etc) you can't see that Microsoft are actually capable of improving their software. Well, the OS department is. Not the gaming department, oh god no.

No, I can't, because of Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows Vista.
I'm not trying to bash Microsoft or Windows in this thread, I just want to remove something and I was wondering if it'd do something I wouldn't expect like throw a fit with 'NTLDR NOT FOUND' or something.
I have problems with Linux too, it's not perfect either.

then how come we dont constantly hear about that as well :downs:
Ok so here is the down and dirty on this longer then needed thread. If you are smart enough to know what the hell a boot loader is, you are perfectly capable of backing up your data and throwing in an XP disk and doing a full reinstall.
Now if you have any complaints such as, "I might mess up another partition i have." well you should have thought about that before you "tried" out a new OS.
quit complaining about how you can't find anything in 7, everything is the same as XP but with some fancy look to it in some way shape or form. and the run command thing was just a stupid question/comment, just type what you want in the search bar, it works the same, I promise.
Don't tell me I don't know about 7, I have a custom built gaming rig, which has the soul purpose of gaming, and I have been running 7 64bit since the day it hit beta. I am now running a full copy of Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.
Don't even say that windows 7 can't play games.

Uh, Windows Vista was a failure at launch, not a failure overall. Just to update ya, Win 7 is based mostly off of Vista.
Also, thanks for the EasyBCD link, I was trying to get Ubuntu off my comp, but it messed with my bootloader since it used its own.
