So is slander.

No personally identifiable information was provided. We use the same Privacy Policy that most Trust-E certified companies do, and it has in no way been violated.
We never shut him down. The account holder used the cancellation button and filed for immediate cancellation on all services with the reason of "BroHoster going down. Thanks for ruining it Matt". I fail to see how we shut him down when he closed out his account himself.
Fairly sure he never blamed you for shutting it down, but rather attributed it's shutdown to you firing JWJ.
hi matt i hear you're anti-marijuana
why is this

I didn't know peope with serious mental dissabilities were allowed to run a company.
I started following this ages ago, when things were still on the whole "They're shutting down Monday at 10am " scene. Now this thread has basically devolved into "flame Matt for every little quirk he has."
Now, I don't think that what he did was necessarily ethical, or for that matter, a good business move, but at the same time he does deserve some respect. He didn't sell Brohoster, and for that matter, he didn't let it close down either, so he still cares, even if only a fraction, about his customers.
he didn't sell it presumably because it was nigh impossible to at that point. The reason people are picking at everything he says is because he pancakes every couple of pages and forgets he said something. Honestly I'd have banned him a while ago when he said he was making his last post (as it's a tradition to perma anyone who says they're leaving and not coming back for the principal of it, and he obviously wasn't contributing much to facepunch's discussion of the matter other than fueling ridicule of himself), but I know every new post he makes is something wonderful and exciting. Not just because he broke his own promise to just not come back, but because several things have been enough to trigger the reactions he's getting.
I'm glad he's at least posting to state he's taking care of tickets now (upon direct request), though he shifts blame with every statement and pretends he had absolutely no responsibilities in regards to brohoster or club uptime's customer service and can't possibly be held accountable for outstanding tickets and requests.
He also apparently can't be held accountable for the extra zero or whatever 'typo' it was in the prices, nor the phone calls he made, the legal threats flung around, the firing of several dedicated members of the crew for, what, one week of falling behind? I've had bitches for bosses and even they were smart enough to give an employee the courtesy of 'quitting', giving their own two weeks notice, and that's IF they did something so heinous that it required removing them instead of telling them they need to fix the problem/improve themselves/shape up. Even JWJ apparently didn't know he was in trouble until after his apartment manager was told he didn't have a job.
I appreciate the nice guy act at this point, though it's not opaque in the least.

What you just did is HIGHLY illegal.

Please confirm or deny the accusation that you contacted JWJ's landlord before informing him that he was fired

Okay, considering he hasn't stopped viewing and the first question of this on this page was an hour ago, combined with the fact that he was extremely eager to answer other questions makes it pretty much indubitable that he did this. In that case, I wouldn't be sueing anyone.

You quoted the post, which means your post is aimed at that post.
That means anyone in full body and mind is able to figure out that "account holder" means ARMaster.
although it's pretty obvious what reason ARMaster left or was dismissed for, it is still a breach of privacy to disclose any information and is possible to have actions taken. I don't think he'll do anything, but I'd just like to put that out there that client info, past and present, is nondisclosable. I'm sure Matt has NDAs written up somewhere that you can reference, I think EddyTT had a copy.
Someone should launch the IRS on them.
Look Matt, I can still see you browsing. This is one of the main factors as to why people dislike you - you're a weasel. As far as this website and I care you've got five minutes to answer yes/no or it's a yes.

That is a good question, to see if they are indeed paying their business taxes for CU.

honestly he probably left a browser open to the thread so he could catch up later. Granted it says 'last activity- 1 minute' on his profile now that I checked, I have to wonder.

That's connected to earlier, about half an hour ago when he was regularly viewing + posting, he only left about 20-30 minutes ago so that really only covers that period. He sure as hell read all the posts regarding this.

Nah, he just dodges questions he doesn't want to answer. I've learned that much from reading his posts in the last week.

Lack of backbone, social skills or perhaps both?
Lack of backbone, social skills or perhaps both?
I will agree with both. He also needs to think before he posts, he just keeps himself looking worse and worse. Matt just SHUT UP!! Trust me we ALL will be better off that way (but then we will run out of things to post about, but who says that is bad)
I guess there's two main things I've learned from this topic
1) If you're going to take over a company and fire the people who built it from the ground up, at least be sure you can actually do their jobs
2) Make sure those same people don't have a legion of internet people willing to call you out on your bullshit
Funny part is I bet he thinks he's a winner of a businessman, when really anyone who does actually run a business would tell him he has fucked up monumentally countless times. Good luck with your career bro.

False advertising since they don't treat you like a bro.

Oh please, grow up.
I think it's time we stop the Highly Illegal jokes, as they are getting overused and boring. And stop calling him names, you aren't helping anyone by doing that, as I don't think anyone should get all the hate that have been directed towards Matt. Try to put yourself in his situation before you start blaming him. He might have done some bad things, but he's trying to steer it back to before all this happened. Which I see as a good thing, he might have done some awful actions, but trying to do something good is at least something in the right direction.
And I wonder if Matt have gone out with the press release/information about the situation he promised as that is something very important now, or else he might lose more customers because they don't have any idea about what it going on right now.
And Matt, calling someones landlord before calling the employee is a real dick move and you should be ashamed about that if it's true. And it would be nice of you if you gave an answer to why you did this, or if it's true/false.
And I think everyone should stop with the hate bandwagon against him. Try to help everyone else that want information about the situation instead of just blaming Matt every other post. There are still clients out there that don't have an idea what have happened or what's happening. But don't try to talk them into cancelling their service, if they're happy with it, let them be happy with it. It's not your money they're using, so why should you care? You can give them reasons and advice about other hosts, but don't force them into cancelling their services.
Also I think Matt might have forgot one thing when doing all this which is a very good rule when having a business, Always put the Customer first. As a happy customer will just bring more customers. That's how Brohoster became so successful in the beginning, because they did as much as they could to make the customers happy.
And if you can't keep up with the tickets, get one more employee, as then you can keep up with the tickets and have happy customers.
Also Matt, try to put yourself in the customers seat. Why are they angry, why are they cancelling their services? As that would help you very much because then you can see what you're doing wrong and what you're doing right. Just a tip from me.
All this is my experience from this thread. I'm not a Brohoster customer, so I can't speak on behalf of the customers, but I can get an insight of how it is to be a customer based on customer reviews and actions from this thread. Fine if you think I'm wrong, as this is my opinion on this situation, everyone is allowed an opinion.
