so did matt sell it to this larry fellow?
Larry is the new General Manager (JWJ's position), Matt still owns the accounts.
so did matt sell it to this larry fellow?
Nope. I've been with BH for awhile. Hired by Jake to help him work through support stuff. Now I'm just trying to work through the messy stuff and get things back to where they were. NOW I'm heading off. I just wanted to respond to ryfry's question there. Larry
Have you been reading?
I don't want to read all 67 pages I like how the guy under me asks the same question and only i get rated dumb
So I'm behind on the times and am going to get rated late for this, but I'm not going back through 66 pages of content just to look this up: is brohoster going down or not? I emailed them about it and they claim they arent, which of course does me no good.
I dunno, I wouldn't do anything that ultimately puts cash in Matt's pocket out of ethical reasons. He deserves nothing.

Club Uptime members weren't included in the list. (Didn't mean to be a zing post.)
People who like ponies need to get dead.
Hay, fuck you, I horseback ride for sport and enjoy it :Colbert:
Hay, fuck you, I horseback ride for sport and enjoy it :Colbert:
Horseback Riding is not equal to MLP
Horseback Riding is not equal do LMP.
Little My Pony.
Little My Pony.
Shit. Edited.
How to announce something that is not important in the slightest: By Larry and the Brohoster crew.
How to announce something that is not important in the slightest: By Larry and the Brohoster crew.
And they were against "Spamming" my inbox with important email, this is worse! Spamming my facebook wall with bs.
"Not to exclude My Little Pony fans"? Seriously? Wow. You're excluding all kinds of people right now. What a bullshit reason. All respect lost. Again. :<
If a TOS (a contract between you and the company) is changed the client is supposed to be notified and has to agree to the new terms. If they do not agree to the new terms, they have the right to terminate the contract with no penalty and with refund if they're at the beginning of the billing cycle. If brohoster is withholding your account to be refunded; contact a lawyer about breach of contract. THen contact your financial bank and put a hold on those funds (chances are they didn't go through yet) from transferring due to fraudulent activity. Seriously, enough of those complaints will get any business licenses from Brohoster and possibly CU revoked. The rest is up to the business law in the state they're located out of.
BroHoster's TOS isn't enforceable on anyone because nobody actually agreed to it. When you place your order, the checkbox for "I have read and agree to the Terms of Service" doesn't link to the TOS. It links to the homepage of their client area. (edit: It actually doesn't link anywhere, the href="" is blank, but browser behavior is to direct that to the root of the website.) Since checking the box is your digital signature, and the box does not link to the actual TOS, the only TOS that people agreed to is what it states on the main page of their client area: There's no affirmation on the customer's part that they have actually read and agree to the actual TOS, so they are most likely unenforceable.
I memorised the number of clients they lost. At least 800. 800/4300. 18%.
I memorised the number of clients they lost. At least 800. 800/4300. 18%.
No no, you see. Brohoster + JWJ = 4300 clients ( Brohoster - JWJ ) + Matt = 0 clients.
Oh my god! Haha!
so this is how it all ends, the folks at brohoster trying to appeal to and (badly) flirt with women in order to get matt some pity-clunge before the ship goes under
So women watch MLP? I thought it was pretty mcuh internet-guys and girls only.
No no, you see. Brohoster + JWJ = 4300 clients ( Brohoster - JWJ ) + Matt = 0 clients.
Wait, how does Brohoster have a negative JWJ now? More like Brohoster + Matt = 0 clients.

pathetic
I got a privacy complaint email from youtube about my video :(
Naw that wasn't flirting. I'm happily married and have no interest in flirting online with people I don't know lol. We have a wide range of customer interests and demographics. It doesn't hurt to have some fun with people at the end of the day. My intentions were to simply stir up some friendly banter. It worked. In hindsight that kind of conversation is probably best suited for our forums, but it seems more people enjoy Facebook discussion *shrugs*
Is/was Brohoster very profitable? Co-location prices seem pretty steep as well as the original hardware costs and the monthly fees for gameservers don't seem too high. Just wondering how easy it was for JWJ and the crew to start Brohoster in the first place
I got a privacy complaint email from youtube about my video :(
that was highly illegal i'm going to own your ass
I got a privacy complaint email from youtube about my video :(

If a privacy complaint is filed, YouTube provides the uploader an opportunity to remove or edit the private information within their video. We issue notification of the potential violation and provide the uploader 48 hours to take action on the complaint. If the uploader removes the video during these 48 hours, the complaint filed will be closed. If the potential privacy violation remains on the site after 48 hours, the YouTube Team will then review the complaint.
There's no private information in the video, so ignore it and then they'll just close the complaint.
From what I've heard, larry is a lot cooler than Matt. Which is nice I guess, but I still think brohoster is a sinking ship. And this massive PR dive for the sake of "the bronies" probably isn't the best idea.
He's one of the best members they have, gonna miss not being under his wing, even though I kinda sucked up to Andrew more as I always saw him as my head, could just be because when I originally came on he was the only person to look upto when Jacob wasn't around.
Ponies were always just used as inside jokes, because I'm the only staff member that watches the show.
Apples. I feel kinda stupid for quitting now though as I've just done my monthly financial check and it gave me a heart attack.

Acts all big and tough with his petty little law suit threats but when someone points the finger at him, he either makes another legal threat against them or goes and hides like a little wuss. C'mon, you going to answer? Or are you instead going to sue me for libel for the above sentence?
