We convinced him otherwise. Because none of us wanted to sell and I said give me a chance to see what I can do.
Is the company really tanking that bad just wondering

Well, Brohoster is not sold.
Just don't mention ponies anymore please.
Just don't mention ponies anymore please.
Lesson learned wootman!! Today I went with the approach starting the arrangements of ass-kicking the BH team through some PVP ;)
Wow thanks, dude, it's nice to jump on Facepunch and feel like regardless of countless hours of work, I can be summed up publicly as a just a joke. :sigh:
You know, people who work for this company aren't bad people. There's some serious PR hysteria that occurs here and a lot of it doesn't even root from people who do the most work, just individuals who scream and shout the most in all the wrong ways.
Give it a break. At the end of the day, you're judging a handful of people that are figureheads, and you don't have the personal experience to see what we're really doing each day, and what we go through.
That was heartfelt. In the turn, we only truly hate Matt for being a retarded bitch about everything. Making this entire thing into a laughing stock. Then him losing all his legal standing AND his abuse claim denied, this thread all of the sudden got a DDoS. Just this thread. Don't exclaim otherwise, because guest count does not go from 2 to 250 to 600 in the matter of 3 minutes.
indeed this thread itself gained more visitors in a few minutes than I had seen when there were reddit and other major posts about it freshly posted out there, then it all dropped again just as suddenly and the forum no longer lagged. All at a random (dying) point in the thread's lifespan, coincidentally after the takedown didn't go through.
total coincidence :allears:
If you're going to be mad at Matt the go ahead that is your opinion, but please have the decency to not inflict your anger upon an entity as a whole. It bugs me to no end that people like Andrew work very hard for a company and get no respect for it because another person made some mistakes, which were most likely blown way out of proportion.
Also, don't blame people for something like a DDoS without having a preponderance of evidense.
I can't believe you made me post again >.>
JWJ - if you need a network administrator, drop me a line. I'd love to help you beat the snot out of Matt.
don't blame people for something like a DDoS without having a preponderance of evidense.
As noted, this thread gained 400+ guests for no reason and for a strangely abrupt time (all joining and leaving at once after being on for a short while), coincidentally soon after said takedown notice didn't go through. That's pretty substancial random circumstance right there, but I'm waiting for Garry or Hexxeh to see my post in the moderator's section regarding the issue and look into whatever things they do to see if it was a DDoS, and maybe even who from. I don't know the technical voodoo but I've seen people singled out for it before.

Looks like he had it before it was thought of.
I'd figure it was because of namesake when he realized no one else had it forever ago

oh shush, i fixed it
I'd be happy to do tickets and stuff for free or for a minecraft server JWJ <3 You guys were great to me when I was hosting at Brohoster.
Well that was an interestingly long 5hr read.
I remember I had 2 servers a while ago, one bedrock and an iron(?) tiered server, monthly and quarterly respectively. So when it came to paying the server costs (both at the same time) I was broke as and an automatic payment went out. It was enough for the bedrock but couldn't pay off the other one and both were cut off a short bit afterwards. I wonder if it would've been worth the effort to get the $5 back, since I successfully paid for a service and it got cut off with the other.
It's prob my fault anyway, I didn't get onto it in time, but I think my account is dead now so I don't need to give a fuck.

We were hit by the same type of attack last December by a Club Uptime competitor. It only affects those using Apache. Essentially, people open up a socket and never finish communicating with the web server, so the web server sits there waiting on a response from your browser until Apache times out on that connection.
Move to Litespeed or Ngnix and you won't be vulnerable anymore.

I do see that you're running an exploitable version of Apache. Once we moved to Litespeed, everything was fixed since we were no longer vulnerable AND we could handle about 20,000+ connections per second (previously just at over 3500 or so).
