Change that to a good PSU should be mandatory.
no that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard, they are plenty of other good psu manufactures out there
Maybe, but find PSU which have really 600W (for example) on their label, not 400W actually.
Corsair is THE label of price and quality.
This is quality.

I have a bad feeling about these (especially the last one).
Silverpower can be a good PSU, otherwise.

ok that's because you have an absolute shit psu, that doesn't mean all the other power supplies out there are just as bad as yours
i do agree corsair is a great psu manufacturer, but they aren't the only one
As is a Quattro 850.
I have a Xonar DX and it's just fine for games as it can deliver positional sound over a decent pair of stereo headphones with Dolby Headphones and DS3D GX 2.0.
Sure, there are better power supplies for the price but does it really matter when the difference is less than $20? It doesn't matter that you think your Xonar DX is fine for games, an entire forum (Head-Fi) will disagree with you over and over and tell you every time that X-Fi is what you want for games, period. Dolby is a gimmick by the way.

Just shut up not everybody is going to get corsair so why don't you educate you self on quality mid range psus then you can post about recommending them.
I have a bad feeling about these (especially the last one).

And also +1 agree to what Bradford said.

It's about a big powerful PC, man, it is important that it need a psu with a good quality. I will understand the fact if it was a computer for low budget, but for 2600$, we can afford to pay this.
It's not the fact I don't like the other labels, but I am just suspicious of counterfeit power supplies. Shit can happens sometimes.

We know he can afford it. It's just the fact that you're glorifying Corsair and stepping on other great manufacturers.
It obviously isn't making people happy.
I highly suggest you go do some research now.
No worry, I will make it soon.
Don't me mind me about all this. It's just I'm new on the PC building world, but it's good to see many differents opinions.

Replace the 500 gig and the velociraptor with this.

More space faster and around the same price. Or you could go really fast and go 3 or 4 of these.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
in raid 0.
Both of these much better options.

yes

cant see
fixed lol
[editline]12:20AM[/editline]
the lian li has a door and the corsair doesn't
that is main difference
doors are really annoying with any case

Really don't get the velicoraptor it is beat by most 1 tb hard drives and for the price you could get 3 1tb f3s in raid 0.
if you're going to work on your computer you don't want a door.
doors are really annoying with any case
That is your opinion.
automerge, radford shut the fuck up please, no it's not.
The only things that come close are WD Caviar Black and then the Velociraptor destroys them with its' really high burst rate which is for loading save games.
[editline]07:23PM[/editline]
and Samsung is a terrible HDD manufacturer don't even
[editline]07:24PM[/editline]
oh I thought he meant a hinged sidepanel, doors on front are great

please do some research on the actual link you post in which caviar blacks and the velociraptor are consistently at the top of the chart
please do some research on the actual link you post in which caviar blacks and the velociraptor are consistently at the top of the chart
It is at the top in I/O and boot times and game loading are not I/O they are sequential where the TB hard drive dominate the velociraptor so please next time read the whole review.
[editline]07:32PM[/editline]
Also to take into account you would be getting 3 terabyte hard drives in raid 0 instead of 1 velociraptor and if you didn't get the terbyte hard drive get a ssd much better performance than the velociraptor.

no you are wrong, once again. SSDs are crap and the Velociraptor is still better in burst speed. Nothing beats the Velociraptor except RAID 0 SSD, and then you have trim memory calculation errors.
[editline]07:35PM[/editline]
and that 500GB Samsung Spinpoint F3 above is faster than the 1TB.
[editline]07:35PM[/editline]
I'm pretty sure that Velociraptor bench is fucked up by the way
One thing I'm not understanding is, Computer Case-Motherboard compatibility. My motherboard says EATX, and my tower just says ATX. What does this mean?
I'd rather wait for Nvidia's new cards to be honest, they are just what I like, and grown up playing with. Not being a complete or total fanboy or anything lol.
As for the PSU, I want some room for upgrade, as well as just some slack to work with in general. Cause I don't want to be gameing with the psu sitting on the maximum possible.
NVIDIA's cards won't be much faster than a 5870, and will be slower than a 5970. (and maybe just as expensive)
so no reason just buy the 5970

:crossarms:
So the 500 gig f3 is faster and apperently uses -1% of the cpu the burst speed beats it by a small margin. Also the terabyte f3 is faster because of its higher memory density. Also raid 0 average drives beat a velociraptor. Finally the velociraptor is 3 times the price for a marginal increase in burst speed and a downgrade in sequential speed. So what does this teach use. You don't buy the veloricraptor instead you go an ssd or a high capacity drive or raid 0.
Also saying a benchmark is fucked up because it doesn't beat the competition by much is always amusing.
