My phone loses so much battery just being locked in my pocket, it's annoying
Use Better Battery Stats to diagnose wakelocks. Seriously, any time you have a problem on Android with battery, that is the first thing you should do. Eliminate anything that is sucking battery life unnecessarily.
If I install a sense 4.0/4.1 rom on my Evo 3D (Originally sense 3.6) would I get the 23GB Dropbox promo?
Also, I'm pretty sure that we've hit the limit of TDP on phones. To keep my One cool (sub 40C) I use a damp paper towel to absorb heat from the metal back. Of course I have to be careful, always have to keep it away from areas of the phone that are not air-tight like the mic holes and where the back casing meets the display.
http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/4/4300176/new-slang-for-stock-android uh
Yeah, we're all going to start having cut vs uncut wars again.
http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/4/4300176/new-slang-for-stock-android uh
Surely if it was truly stock it wouldn't be referred to something mutilated and something done after something is originally created, right? ahemtouchwiz
I just use stock with Nova Launcher. I don't see the point in custom ROMs.
I just use stock with Nova Launcher. I don't see the point in custom ROMs.
The bloated bullshit. Custom ROMs for me, have nearly doubled my S3's battery life. No more crap running when I don't need it to. Like ever. Also, much more smoother, depending on the ROM since it's debloated. That's the point
Hey is there a way to bypass the "insufficient storage" restriction? I have 90mb free, 25mb goes to cache when I download the update for chrome beta (seriously, play store should download all data on the sdcard) and i suddenly cannot install because if it did, I'd have less than 50mb free after installing, 25mb where it's still occupied by the cache. arggggggggg
Anyone know where I can get a file of the PNGs of the Android emoticons? Not the 3D ones, the Holo ones.
Anyone know where I can get a file of the PNGs of the Android emoticons? Not the 3D ones, the Holo ones.
look into the apk of the keyboard app or where ever the app you're using
Well, I'm trying to save them, host them, and use them on my Tumblr. I'm not sure what APK to tear into.
For the first time ever there is something on the battery page on settings that has used more battery than the screen for me, google fucking chrome. Eats battery like it's never eaten before on an S2 with CM10.1.
Anyone know where I can get a file of the PNGs of the Android emoticons?
I use Firefox. I find it far superior in every way to Chrome. Funny how it's the reverse on desktops.
I like chrome because it keeps my favorites from my PC to my phone among other things. I'll try Firefox though.

Thanks, though. Anyone else? Maybe suggest an APK for me to rip into. I need PNGs.
Anyone know where I can get a file of the PNGs of the Android emoticons? Not the 3D ones, the Holo ones.
These?
These?
The flat ones. [thumb]http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/346/b/a/android_4_0_smilies_for_pidgin_by_schmobat-d4iw3ku.png[/thumb] And I'm trying to avoid having to open all 20-odd in Gimp and try to make clean, cropped transparencies of them, so I'm wondering if a file of the individual PNGs exists in the wild. I could be barking up the wrong tree, though.
link me them and I can do them quickly
It's no big deal, I'd rather not make anyone work for them. I'll just nut up and do it :P [editline]4th May 2013[/editline] If any of you want them, here they are. [editline]4th May 2013[/editline] This is about how they turned out: [editline]4th May 2013[/editline] A bit pixelated, but better than nothing.
What was that website where they tried to reimplement features like smartstay from touchwiz into opensource apps? I want to see if they got anywhere
That's better. "Hangout" instead of "babel". http://www.droid-life.com/2013/05/04/rumor-google-babel-will-actually-launch-publicly-as-google-hangout/

I was messing with a friends tablet and from the locks screen I could go to chrome if I had it open when I locked it but this doesn't happen on my nexus 7?
THIS IS WHY I FUCKING HATE SAMSUNG! This is exactly what they want. I'm sure it's more common than we think. [thumb]http://i.minus.com/ichxOqzxnI2Dh.png[/thumb]

What tablet did you get? I feel like I didn't have as much as that.
