Do they even get used at all in the US
Do they even get used at all in the US
I got one when I was in North Carolina warning about a severe thunderstorm. It played the EAS tones while showing a pretty Sense-themed message on my EVO 4G LTE. [sp]man i miss that phone[/sp]

It's so unfortunate that 5.0 will be optimized for older phones, yet the vast majority of older phones will never get that update.
It's so unfortunate that 5.0 will be optimized for older phones, yet the vast majority of older phones will never get that update.
I think the point behind the optimization is so it reaches out to a bigger user base.
Oh cool, Google Now does Environment Canada alerts now: [t]http://i.imgur.com/5vI7zfv.png[/t]
Does it in the US too, just got a severe storm warning about an hour ago, wasnt that severe though.
It's so unfortunate that 5.0 will be optimized for older phones, yet the vast majority of older phones will never get that update.
The people who don't use custom ROMs and stick to 2.2 either don't care or don't know. Everyone who uses custom ROMs will get it.
Nothing on www.reddit.com/r/Android yet. I'm calling bull :v:
The rumour is all over the internet. Let's just hope something actually comes from it
Honestly, until I see some leaks/further proof, I won't believe it much. It seems like most of the writers are exaggerating Android dev claims from the I/O, where they said they want to optimize Android further. Would be an incredible surprise if it was true and Google released an official update for the Nexus S though.
Woohoo. After some initial problems (having to rebrand my phone from "d2can" to "d2att", and having to wipe /system), I now have CyanogenMod 10.1 (JB 4.2.2). EDIT: Wow, CM has come a long way. 10.1 has so many settings and cool built-in stuff. EDIT: my phone is so fucking fast now too

When it comes to things of no value, I prefer silly image ratings to karma :v:

I don't even have a reddit account :pwn:
Reddit isn't all terrible. Some Reddits are to be avoided like the plague (Atheism, Redpill,) and some are incredibly informative with people who are willing to help and know what they're talking about (Bodyweightfitness.)
I don't mind the content, but the layout seems so counterintuitive to me. I guess when I've been used to FP and SA, it's a little jarring, but I just plain don't like how the site is designed.
Free download of Jay-Z's new album for Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 owners. No idea how relevant this may be for you guys, but here you go anyway: http://phandroid.com/2013/06/16/jay-z-magna-carta-holy-grail/

Would it be a good idea to flash stock android to my huawei y300 or wait a month or so? I feel like my phone could have a lot less useless features it comes with, but I don't want to mess with my new phone so early.
