I'm about to Symlink some stuff so I have some questions. Do I need to re-partition my sdcard? Can I manually symlink specific apps? Will it move every single part of the app such as the apk, the app data and the cache? I'll just move every single game onto the symlinked partition which will be like 2GB.
Maybe because you installed HaxSync.
I installed haxsync because facebook sync is shite, not because it was completely non-functional. I've used facebook sync on GB, ICS and JB and it always worked (as far as any facebook software 'works').
Besides, if facebook doesn't work on ICS and JB because the facebook app isn't whitelisted, how the fuck would the haxsync app get whitelisted?

Symlinking doesn't move anything. It's symbolic.
I'm also gonna try getting Google music all access working. Some say all you need to do is come y address a to activate with a Canadian credit card.

Well, I really don't know how it worked for you then.
You can see the problem here:

Maybe you used a ROM with whitelisting included. Because it's gone from AOSP.

I can't even get google music to work. It freezes on credit card check.
The app work fine for me besides not being able to use the equalizer for some silly reason.
I'm happy I got Google music working a year ago, my friends are all jelly since they couldn't get it working as it was too late.

Pretty weird then. Worked fine on Stock s2/s3 GB, ICS and JB roms, and on GB, ICS and JB CM roms.

Well, it does work on TouchWiz and Sense because they added their own layer to contact provider to handle it. Weird that it worked on CM though.
Fuck. While transitioning from 4.1 to 4.2, I had to run commands to move files from /data/media to /data/media/0. I accidentally wiped the folder after I transferred the files.
I have literally just wiped my entire internal sdcard.

Well... that sucks. Did you have anything that you absolutely can't get back? I usually have three things on my SD: music, videos (TV and movies), and photos. The music and videos are also on my computer, and the photos get uploaded to Dropbox. Generally the only thing that I couldn't recover is app data, but I sync that to Dropbox weekly through Titanium.

I have a backup on my computer, but it's 18 days old. That's a shitload of lost data.
Thinking of getting myself a 7' tablet. There is the possibility of the new Nexus 7. Would that be a good option or should I just get myself the current nexus 7.
I would wait at this point.

aaaaand you just made me go make backups. I make one per month, guess I should rethink that.

I make a backup every few months.
Can you at least get it into recovery
Hold volume up during boot
Yeah, I can.
I'm so tired of my phone, I want a ROM that doesn't have any fucking bugs
Trying this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906172
Maybe it'll help
alright, what the fuck happened to my phone (evo 3d)
the battery ran out this morning, I connected the charger and tried to turn it on. It got to the miui logo, then turned off (and did that like three times). I left it to charge. Now it got stuck on the miui logo, I removed the memory card, now it doesn't turn on AT ALL.
[editline]19th June 2013[/editline]
I switched the batteries, now it got stuck again on the logo but red LED is flashing
I ran into a similar problem before, it seems that with any non 4.0.4 rom, if you turn your phone on too early after you plug it in it sticks at the logo and you have to wipe and reinstall.
The solution would just be wait for 30 once you plug it in before turning it on.
So i just updated to Jelly Bean on my GS2 i777 and damn is it slow as fuck. and eats up a lot of memory. What should i do? I heard formatting takes care of this but is there any other way?

Great. Lost my shit because of that
Installed cool ICS, the design sucks (never liked sense), I hope it won't be buggy.
How does one "root" their phone? I'd like to install AdBlockPlus for my phone and it says you need root access to block 3G ads. Does rooting void warranties? I have a GS4.

Yes, rooting voids the warranty. Some people (inlcuding me) do it anyway because if your phone still boots, you can usually un-root it, and if it doesn't boot, Samsung usually won't be able to tell it was rooted.
Which model of GS4 do you have? (GT-I9500, GT-I9505, SGH-I337M?)
There are a couple of different ways to root, but for beginners I suggest CF-auto-root. That link is for the GT-I9500 only but the thread has links to other models.
EDIT: if you have the GT-I9500, you won't be able to reset the flash counter right now, which (I think) means you won't be able to completely un-root your phone for warranty purposes. Chainfire's "Triangle Away" works on all models of the S4 except for the GT-I9500.
Is there a place to download older versions of android apps? I can't stand the way the YouTube app looks now. I want to go back to a previous version.

anybody have any experience with the Motorola Atrix HD? It seems to be the best priced JB phone on AT&T right now at $50, I've had a good run with my Atrix 2 and was wondering if it's any good

Sorry, I don't have any experience. But it looks to be about on par with the S3 or One X, except the battery life is bad, the camera isn't the best, and it doesn't have any completely stable ROMs.
I know FP hates XDA, but this thread is quite informative (it lasts about three pages before devolving into arguments about the dev community!)
EDIT: as far as advantages go, the Atrix has very solid build quality.

Honestly, if you aren't going to need more than 16GB of storage, the AT&T One X would be a vastly better option. Better screen and camera by far, and you can expect to get at least Sense 5.x and 4.2.2.
So, the Nexus 4 is expensive as fuck on Brazil, and im thinking of buying an Galaxy SII instead, is it a good phone? (Mostly for gaming)
What would people offer for a NOTE II?
you can ship it to my house for free if you want, but you have to pay for the shipping ;))
So, the Nexus 4 is expensive as fuck on Brazil, and im thinking of buying an Galaxy SII instead, is it a good phone? (Mostly for gaming)
It's a good phone, but it's nowhere near the Nexus 4 for performance. The Nexus 4 gets about 4800 points on Quadrant, and the SII gets about 3500. But it's still better than the Galaxy Nexus, which gets 2000.
