I'm buying a Galaxy S4 today. Am I making a terrible mistake? Are there much better phones out there? Wisdomise my ignorant ass on the issue.
There's also the HTC One (NOT One X, that's a much older model), that's definitely worth checking out. Specs comparison HTC One review by the same guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF75-HPdUfY Galaxy S4 review by the same guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXmzpFoHkfA In the end it comes down to user preference as both are great flagship phones, but IMO this year Samsung isn't the clear winner (as it was the case last year with the Galaxy S3).
I really want to get stock android on my 4.1 huawei ascend, but i'm not sure if it could handle it and how could i do it, and the phone's just a few weeks new too. what do?
Is buying one x somewhere in August is worth it? I want a better camera than on my evo 3d, and also some non-buggy jb roms (or maybe a different phone?)
So, my parents just gifted me a Sony Xperia G. What do I need to know, basically? The software ver. is 4.1.2. EDIT: Ok, I guess there is nothing I need to know about it :v:

If you want to root aforementioned phone you should follow this tutorial and go from there to flash a new ROM. In my opinion rooting your phone is definitely worth it, you can enhance literally every aspect of your phone with custom ROMs, kernels and more. Just make sure you are willing to loose warranty. [editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] 1000th post hurrah!
Now the proud owner of a S4, pleased with my purchase, but the damn manual came in Polish.
why one x? I was ok with that

Or something similar. Try checking any setting that says "Zoom" and has example text near it
Anyone else here uses opera mobile? Since I updated it, it became utter crap. Hello, I'm here with an actual android question While I'm waiting to get money to get my S3 fixed, one of my friends has offered to give me his HTC HD Mini, normally it runs Windows mobile 6.something, but apparently it's possible to get it running android 2.2, and some people even have it running 4.0.4 Would anybody be willing to help me get it running at least any version of android? [editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] I'm doing a bit of research by myself but I have a habit of breaking everything

I really like how chrome sync stuff through desktop and mobile. Too bad it's so slow. Next browser is fast.
one browser is pretty good too
People suck at naming browsers.
Just lost my (3 week old) HTC one to a puddle. My friend moved my bag which had it in into said puddle (in the middle of tent) and i didn't realise until the morning. I don't know why he moved my bag. All the tears.
Are you sure it can't be saved? My One fell into a hot tub and fully recovered. [editline]23rd June 2013[/editline] Lot's of rice was used
It seems to be dry now and it'll turn on, but refuses to read sim, camera won't even open (and I can see there is a bubble or something in it) and a lot of other problems. Screen works though
can't you claim it on your home insurance
The solution: wait longer. My phone could not read the SIM or see out of the camera for a day after the incident. Maybe it will recover?
On my old S1 the new Opera browsers were basically unusable.
I find Opera Mini very usable but right now my favourite browsers would have to be Next Launcher and Boat Browser.

Mobile chrome for life. Mostly because of how well it integrates with desktop chrome.
