What I hate about Roms is pretty much nothing supports my tablet
I can get an unofficial PA from some random XDA thread or an official, outdated, nightly CM
Personally, I see nothing so amazingly awesome coming up that I'd pick that over stability.
Now I'll just have to wait until the stable release for my phone is actually updated, and then I can check if it's actually stable.
General rule of thumb is nightly is best. Normally if there is ever an issue (MMS broken etc) it is fixed in the next nightly build. Personally I update my ROM once a week or whenever something special gets released. Last time I encountered a broken nightly was on CM10 nightlies when it first came out last year
After 8 screen protectors in my history of phones, I have finally mastered the application.
My Rhino Shield arrived about 30 minutes ago and I have applied the front perfectly. So proud of myself!
I'd forgotten i had set the update scan to stable only. That might be why i didn't find any updates :v:
In the meantime, the low use battery test goes on. Currently with 44 % after 2 days and 16 hrs

That's the kind of battery life people should be getting if they didn't leave everything enabled with their brightness on max and shit apps running in the background all day causing wakelocks and excessive CPU usage.
back protector applied perfectly as well.

naked phone master race
No scratches on my Nexus 4 master race :v:
No scratches naked nexus 4 master race?
no nexus 4 master race
UMTS (HSDPA) has a theoretical downstream speed of 21Mbps if I remember correctly.
HSPA+ is like 160-something down Mbps.
No, UMTS is UMTS and the original release only supported a max of 384 kbit/sec. HSPA is comprised of HSDPA and HSUPA with a max of 7.2 Mbps down. HSPA+, depending upon how it is aggregated and the tech implemented, can go either from 21.1 Mbps max to 168 Mbps max.
Everything is based upon the original UMTS standard but for the sake of discussing Android, 3G is UMTS R'99.

Hinge method?
Hinge method?
Yup. Duct tape hinges are amazing, I don't know why haven't thought of that before.
Aligning the protector before you secure it in place is a nightmare though, it slides around way too easily.
phonehouse sucks so much. their website said they had Galaxy s3 flip covers in black in one of their stores so I went there and they said they hadn't had them for weeks or months and that the website says it's in stock even if it isn't. (website claims they update stock on site every 24 hours)
it took me 2 hours to get there dang it. Why is it so hard to find Galaxy s3 flip covers in black?
I'm thinking of picking up either S4 or Xperia ZL. Anyone help me decide? S4 is around 500 eur and I could probably get ZL for 400. I kinda like how compact ZL is.
i would wait for the honami if your spending money and not getting it on contract
Slightly unrelated but I finally got one of these:

Anyone interested in a mini-review/comparison?
I have only one question: Does it still lag like fuck? I remember seeing a few videos (each a few months apart, so theoretically each had a newer Firefox OS version) in which it lagged so hard that I don't think anyone could actively use this. Not even in third world countries.
Splendid Post. Amazing.

This is actually something I was impressed at. It's obviously not 60fps buttery smooth but there is hardly any lag.

even facepunch runs as well as any other app
Dolphin browser has the stupid menu bar at the bottom 0/10 would not use
i hate browser gestures
i can't count the amount of times I've accidentally switched tabs in mobile Chrome
i would wait for the honami if your spending money and not getting it on contract
Honami is when again? Sept-October? I was thinking of waiting for honami but it's probably just a beefed up XZ (and being 10mm thick while at this)
Also, is true that Xperia Z's front/back glass can break from being in the jeans pocket? I got the feeling that DragonTrail glass is good at absorbing quick shocks (falls, hits) but not long bending/flexibility, making it kinda brittle? How does this stack against other phones?
This fucking Otterbox makes my S4 goddamned huge. D:
That's what you get for buying an otterbox.

Because protection and padding
Ordered a white nexus 4. In only a few short days I get to leave my crappy dumphone behind for stock Android.
It's summer time, that means time for maybe a clean refresh on my potato.
As in delete everything.
The lock button placement on the S4 is quite irritating. The amount of times I've accidentally locked the phone whilst browsing or during a call.
I figured this would be as good of a thread to ask as any. I recently sent a snapchat video, but I forgot to save it. Is there anywhere in the deep recess of my phone that the raw footage would be?

That's funny because most people bitch about top-mounted lock buttons.
I really honestly prefer top mounted ones, because I'm so used to them
it feels weird on my S3
