Alright got cyanogenmod running, easy back up didn't reinstall my apps :(, but thats fine. How do I get rid of the like dark fade around the edges of the screen?
Why are you using your phone while driving.
I don't, why would I do that?
The Xperia Z Ultra looks amazing
How doth one synchronize Facebook profile photos with their Google contacts?
HaxSync
Thank you BreenIsALie, your battery tips helped me out a lot. [t]http://imgur.com/oxLrxq2.png[/t] i love you Breen I don't think the screen time is correct though because I browsed for at least one and a half hour today with Mozilla mobile.
SMS is expensive in Spain? That should be a violation of the Geneva Convention or something. SMS is literally just a packet added on to the regular "ping" signals sent to the cell tower anyway. Like even shitty Canadian providers usually include unlimited texting in even their cheapest plans (not counting the $10 prepaid or whatever)
It still has to be routed between towers and carriers, like everything else that you send from your phone. That said, it shouldn't cost nearly as much as it does.

I know I'm late to this conversation but before I lost my One to water, I had a clear case on it and it still looked really nice. When I get another from insurance I'll probably get a Poetic case. I also worry now not to put it down to hard, since it's made of metal it sounds so loud, so a case is a must really

If you have the towers for voice, it doesn't cost much more to set up SMS. EDIT: although I also guess it depends on the volume of SMS traffic being sent.

How do you get 4.1.2 to sync fb to your phone book? It did it first time I logged in but it won't sync new contacts even if I force a sync in settings
Is there any way I can set app-specific overclocks Puzzle and dragons runs fine at about 600-700 Mhz but for some reason when my phone is on top clocks it manages to eat up my battery in two to three hours which is annoying
Holy fuck, BY THE DAY my Galaxy Nexus is getting worse. It was down to 5 percent battery after 37 minutes of screen on time and plugged into my car, the bluetooth was shitting out and wasn't letting my car stereo get the address book. So I turn off bluetooth and try making my call (Parked) and it wouldn't even start ringing before it ended itself. I grabbed my old Galaxy Spica in case I end up throwing the GNex on the fucking train tracks.
They also don't need internet access and it is pretty damn reliable
Yeah I didn't get a message from someone for an event I was doing until they sms me last minute. Mainly because I wasn't on Facebook messenger or had WiFi on at the time.
How do you get 4.1.2 to sync fb to your phone book? It did it first time I logged in but it won't sync new contacts even if I force a sync in settings
Personally I just use Friendcaster, since the official Facebook app sucks horse dick in every way.

Like even shitty Canadian providers usually include unlimited texting in even their cheapest plans (not counting the $10 prepaid or whatever)
Nope. $40 family plan for two phones did not have ANY SMS included. It's a $15 Add on for unlimited text sms Canada only and $20 for unlimited sms and picture/video sms Canada only.
Everyone trying to sync Facebook natively, see my post here. [editline]27th June 2013[/editline]
Nope. $40 family plan for two phones did not have ANY SMS included. I don't even see that plan on the Rogers site. I see $50 minimum that includes unlimited text. So $40 + $15, $55, seems about right. http://www.rogers.com/web/Rogers.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=WLRS_Plans&category=FAMILY The second-cheapest individual plan, $30/month, includes unlimited texting, but the $25/month doesn't.
Nobody has even heard of Whatsapp, Hangouts, etc here. It's all SMS. And I prefer it that way.
Yeah I can send and get messages any time since I'm not always on WiFi and no 3G for me either :\
Wuw you twoo <3
What were the tips? Retoast pls.
What were the tips? Retoast pls.

Otherwise i'd root (no need to change ROM) and get CPUtuner. I'm trying it out now with normal usage (some music/podcast, reading news and twitter, Wifi mostly off) and i'm getting good battery time out of it https://www.dropbox.com/s/brnu5f8v0awukab/2013-06-24%2012.23.42.png If you are having such issues, it's probably worth it
Basically that. I installed CPUtuner, set it to underclock the CPU to 200 Mhz when screen was off and locked, and some others settings to make sure wifi and such didn't turn off. Got my battery life from a bit over a day to around 3 on the same usage

The individual $50/month plans now have unlimited sms but less data. Back a year or so ago it was 150 minutes, 150 sms, 500MB data and some other stuff.

I'll see how well it works over the coming days.
HaxSync
Well, I was reluctant to pay for it, but it works bloody amazing. So now I'm on 4.2.2 PA, got my Dash Clock, and aside from the default dialer crashing when it opens, everything works great. Even my Smartwatch works better.

If you're talking to the HOLOYOLO warriors, of course they want it gone. It displeases Lord Google. Average users, on the other hand (like me), want it to stay because it's so ingrained into muscle memory.

It's very silly and annoying. I like the back/home/menu button layout the most. It seems to be the most logical.
i still have a search button i think it looks nicer
[t]http://puu.sh/3pZPK.jpg[/t] My Nexus shipped out today! Also mind the irony of this whole post.
