Clearly you haven't seen her from the same angle.
Also, after a year and a half of using windows phone with the Lumia 800, I'm making the jump back to Android with the HTC One. Upgrading early because Windows Phone 7.8 is just breaking itself a little more everyday for me, I can barely use it as a phone currently.
So anyway, my question is should I root it and put on stock android (Or that fancy Play Edition from the HTC One google sell) straight away or just stick with Sense?
I vote give Sense a whirl and if that doesn't do it for ya, flash the Play Edition.
IMO stick with Sense for a while and see if you like what it offers. If you feel like it's too much, stock Android will still be here, waiting patiently.

God damn it Protocol7
Alright I'll try Sense out for a little bit then. Also one last thing :v: does anyone in the UK know if the HTC One has been pushed 4.2 yet? Finding out online is really not helpful as I end up finding loads of unnecessary sources
Well if you don't like sense you can just download a launcher like Nova, you don't have to flash.
A launcher doesn't get rid of Sense/TouchWiz/whatever else. It'll still be there in the settings, notification bar, preinstalled apps..
Sense's preinstalled apps are great though.
I have Nova Launcher on my One, but I can still enjoy the Camera app and Gallery and Zoe, etc...

Also what is the difference between AOSP and Google Play Edition? ROMs like Cyanogenmod are 180 megabytes and the GPE stuff is around 400
And, although take it with a grain of salt because it's the Verge who discovered this, the software HTC camera takes seemingly better photos than its AOSP variant (and lord is the AOSP camera app awful.)

It's not awful, it's Holo :v:
It lacks features compared to the Sense/TW camera apps, but in general, the photo quality is pretty similar between GPE and the normal One/S4.
It's not even a difference in features, invoking the settings on it is annoying as hell. I'm glad to be back on the Samsung camera on my Note.
don't you dare question Matias Duarte's design decisions
Are there any camera apps out there that give an extensive amount of settings when it comes to recording video?
Namely framerate, resolution, bitrate, ISO
I updated the stock camera app and now whenever there's not enough light it ramps the iso and exposure up and goes to 10fps as a result. Before that it would stay fixed
For video: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera
I have this and I can mess with the bit rate, focus settings and what not but don't expect Canon DSLR controls like the aperture (it's locked because that's how phone cameras work), shutter speed and ISO is stuck to whatever the system wants it to be. Resolution is a bit messy, it's broken on a bunch of phones and is still under development. It hasn't been updated in almost a year too.
Amazingly I'm posting from the Facepunch app on my new Nexus 4.
Well it has actually come to this, my 32GB card is not enough for me. That's great...

What is the best SMS blocking app? Also why the fuck doesn't 4.1.2 have a feature like that natively? My friends old "dumb" phone can block calls and SMS with my xperia sp that hit the market a month ago I can send phone book entry to voicemail my older 2.2 phone had no native blocking features at all its fucking retarded
I find it creepy that Google chrome knows my passwords when I reset my device.
I guess none of my browser passwords are safe...

Excuse my irrelevant rating. My phone doesn't seem to show me the rate icons. Instead it just rates posts how it feels fit I guess.

ASUS Padfone 2. It's supposed to get the double of that again when docked with the station.

I also need some help. After I got my phone back from repairs, the vibration slowly died off. It started off sounding slightly out of place and then from there on it just got less and less intense. Now it doesn't vibrate at all anymore. Did the vibration motor thing die or is it software related?
I gave the Google keyboard people keep recommending a try, don't seem any better than the xperia input my only complaint about the xperia input is it corrects bad language

Eventually it'll remember it, if you type out the word without gesture typing it'll remember it.

The motor died.
Meanwhile on the One I have to actually set the motor lower because it will vibrate itself off of tables.

You need to give the screen time. If it's more than 5 hours of screen on you are the new god of the battery life.

i'll get 2 days if I idle for the most part on my phone (nexus 4)
franco kernel does wonders
I found Franco kernel horrible for battery life, along with running like crap most of the time.
