Friendly reminder that made in USA = high price = Nexus Q all over again. Because seriously, Americans (and honestly, most of the civilized world) is not gonna work for the money and in the conditions they do in chinese factories.
How would I go about getting better battery life on my S3? It barely lasts me a day at college
Just disable all things you don't need really. I go on lowest brightness, enable power saving mode, turn off either mobile data, Wifi, or both, turn off Bluetooth. You get the picture. I get 2.5 days outta mine.
Why do I have the feeling that the only thing we will be able to customize will be sticker on the phone.
Why do I have the feeling that the only thing we will be able to customize will be sticker on the phone.
Suddenly, Samsung and Galaxy S4 stickers everywhere.

Cool, Motorola. Wait, why did it rebooted itself? modem did not power up (3) Seriously, my Atrix gave this error , and the warranty was over. After that and another thousands of problems, i decided i would never buy any smartphone with the name Motorola on it.

Kevin from TeslaCoil Software may have found one of the first real gems: there's now a notification listening service under the hood. The feature would let third-party apps read notifications and perform common notification-level tasks. While we don't have new software to show exactly how the service will work, it's possible that future apps will have limited control over each other without relying on the hacks that we see today. We'll know the full story when Google makes Android 4.3 official -- whenever that is.
Thought you guys might like this more than the Sensationalist Headlines
Should have skipped a step and gotten an Xperia Z.
imo i'd had to have that built in especially on a device that supposed to specialize in multimedia. plus the note 2 is better

I bought myself an android recently and I'm looking into rooting it. I've never been much for hacking, though, and I'm a little intimidated by the process. This guide has a bunch of scary terms like "flashing", "as soon as it reaches 8% quickly look for this file", and "hex editing" and has a bunch of links, files, and downloads to follow; other guides like this one are a lot simpler with only a few steps - basically "download these", "connect the phone" and "run this". I'm not even sure what "rooting" means. Any general tips and advice for a total noob like me?
if you don't think you need rooted then you probably dont
So my shit phone died and I'm getting either an S4 or an HTC One, any recommendations? I don't know if I completely care about the lack of removable stuff on the HTC One, but at the same time I don't know anything about this shit so I may end up regretting that later

Only way we can help is if you say what matters to you.
The Google keyboard has some green ribbon on the middle, what is that?
Got a screenshot? I'm not seeing anything green on mine.
This thing [t]http://www.imgur.com/OO3rCic.png[/t] It might be green because of my theme
That looks like a theme issue, since it looks like the key highlight which is regularly blue and small, hovering above the key.
Except your phone's resolution belongs on a smartwatch :v: All of the app is terribly shit blurry on 720p, legacy menu button, iOS look, lacks new navigation drawer... 0/10 would not search for on Play Store
Fairly sure everyone who did Android app development at Valve got fired, so I wouldn't count on an official update.
probably because they did such a terrible job of it
