You can always install a custom ROM to get to the latest version. I'm on a galaxy ace on jellybean
BBS doesn't make any sense to me though, it tell me nothing.
Just look at the other page. That's really all you need to know "at a glance" to determine whether or not you have battery life issues.
I like having Cyanogenmod on my S3 but this gets really annoying That's with 1h30 of on-screen time. Android OS is reporting nearly 7h of CPU time. The only thing that makes this bearable is that I have an extended battery; but that means I can't enjoy its benefits to the fullest. I've heard that flashing a different kernel could fix this but I don't even know where to begin with this so...
My phone uses 35% battery by just leaving it while I am asleep (around 6-8 hours) and can use 20% battery in 20 minutes when using firefox or chrome. Galaxy S3, I really I should get CM10.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5483751/Photos/2013-07-13%2023.12.21.png[/t] That's with 1h20m of screen time, how the fuck do you do that max. [editline]14th July 2013[/editline] I'm also on cm10.1

my htc one on ElementalX 2.4 kernel drops 5% (deep sleep) over 8 hours
I don't know even have the new maps update yet.
I do, it's ok, better than a gingerbread UI i suppose.
Just look at the other page. Under process, it seems a little better: [t]http://i.imgur.com/ksXZ5Kp.png[/t] Again, apparently allshare seems to be taking up a ton of battery even though it appears disabled. I'll try using rom toolbox to freeze it. It seems useful, though it's not worth the drain.
I do, it's ok, better than a gingerbread UI i suppose.
my gmail is the new ui
so how the fuck can I make it so emails from people go into the right fucking category? Emails from my teachers are not "forums" and emails from my job are not "social".
so how the fuck can I make it so emails from people go into the right fucking category? Emails from my teachers are not "forums" and emails from my job are not "social".
make a filter, "categorize as" personal/forums etc
samsung galaxy s2 + dormanx kernal = extreme battery life
Flashed build 9 I suppose? If you did, great! It has GPU governor support and a "Simple" GPU governor set by default, which reduces N4 heat (fuck yes) while extending battery life by a tiny bit. Build 10 should also be coming very very soon (matter of hours), with some security fixes and a CyanogenMod LED fix (colors went a little crazy when charging).
Nah it was one of the base ones, may as well download build 9 though, there isn't really any downsides to it.
samsung galaxy s2 + dormanx kernal = extreme battery life
Is your screen time like 2 minutes? I have the dorimanx kernel on my S2 and I get amazing battery life when the phone is sleeping, but when in use it helps fuck all.

Then go to partial wakelock and kernel wakelock and look at those things. That is how you figure out battery drainers.
I wish the Moto X would finally get released just so ridiculous amount of hype around it could finally stop.
I wish the Moto X would finally get released just so ridiculous amount of hype around it could finally stop.
and then it finally comes out with a 720p screen, dual core CPU and 16GB storage and nothing remarkable and we all go back to waiting for the next big thing? Oh god I hope the Moto X is good. HTC One is too gimped, S4 is too fragile and Xperia Z has a disgusting screen among other flaws
I find it funny how all the rumored specs turned out to be bullshit, and then someone realized there was a Vietnamese dude actually holding the Moto X on camera and describing it several months ago, and everyone thought that would be one of the last "regular Motorola" phones and the Moto X would come after. Also, carrier text in the status bar is fucking disgusting.
so is it worth Putting Cynanogen Mod 10.1 on my S3?... cause im thinking about it. and i'd like to "unfuck" my phone
You can always install a custom ROM to get to the latest version. I'm on a galaxy ace on jellybean
I don't wanna have to do anything to my phone when I get it, I just want something with a decent camera and app support out of the box :v: But then again, let's hope my S3 gets fixed
[t]http://i.imgur.com/iojvSB6.jpg[/t] Had this happen to me this morning when the alarm went off. Nearly had a heart attack...
so is it worth Putting Cynanogen Mod 10.1 on my S3?... cause im thinking about it. and i'd like to "unfuck" my phone
I did it a month or so ago, so far not regretting it. It's gotten faster better. Lots of neat features (panorame on camera is sweet to pick one). You might want to get something like CPUtuner since you loose samsungs battery save button. The installation itelf was pretty easy too, as long as you use a good tutorial

I would root and change my phone's rom, but so far I haven't found any good roms for huawei y300, which kills my reason to root the phone.
Thanks!
Just remembered, and i don't think it's mentioned in my link, but here's how you install clockworkmod recovery (if you have not already done it). Useful stuff http://inside-galaxy.blogspot.se/2013/04/samsung-galaxy-s3-how-to-install.html
