Anyone know of a good alarm clock app? The one on the Samsung s4 is crap because it stops going off after the alarm sound plays once or after a 30 second snip of the song you have chosen. Preferably a free one please!:-)
one with tons of features is called wakevoice. A simple, clean one is called circle alarm.
I did the repair myself though half the phone is black and the other half is white :v:
Why would you fix it with a different colour? Did you get the other half really cheap because of the colour? I fixed my phone myself too but I got the same colour so there's really no way you could tell it was tampered with except for maybe some of the adhesive inside it being ripped off (the adhesive that keeps those ribbon cable things stuck to the plastic frame)
Heh, I traded in my old iPhone 4 to Verizon with the custom green front glass and several dead pixels. They gave me full value. :v:

What's the best voice recording app that can capture as much sound and as loud as possible?
What's the best voice recording app that can capture as much sound and as loud as possible?
I think that depends on the mic on the device more than anything.
I think that depends on the mic on the device more than anything.
Will be needing it on the SGS2. Anything specific with the microphone on it that I should know about or should it be fine?
doesn't TouchWiz have a decent sound recording app on the SGS2? It's been forever since I used TW though so I might be wrong about it being decent.
Have it running on CM9 though so that's why I was wondering about an app I could use.
I ran into a problem today, after I turned on my phone again after an exam it showed my external sd card as empty. Hooked up the phone now on my computer and windows explorer tells me this now. However, when I open the sd card it shows as empty. Any way to get my data back?
So, the people have spoken. Going to order the Nexus 4 soon; anything I should be aware of? I have read a lot about it so far, so one thing I have noticed is that it's a fragile phone. (Also, I plan to add Cyanogen to it, any crippling bugs I should be worried about?)
so yesterday I got hit with a $750 phone bill, which means that the payment (and tacked-on activation fees) for my new galaxy S4 and my sister's iphone 5 (that I got for her birthday) just went through. and today, my nice galaxy S4, wrapped cozily in its super awesome shock padding and damage resistant OtterBox Commuter- -fucking exploded from a 2 foot (at most) tumble out of my pocket while I was getting out of my car. It isn't even just the glass, the screen will only flicker a small segment when I try to turn it on god fucking dammit
Oh how I do hope this is about 4.3, and 4.3 adds some good features. http://www.technobuffalo.com/2013/07/17/google-android-sundar-breakfast/

[editline]17th July 2013[/editline] I'm glad I got my UAG case for my Note 2, though. Took a tumble down a flight of solid wooden stairs without so much as a mark.
-fucking exploded from a 2 foot (at most) tumble out of my pocket while I was getting out of my car. It isn't even just the glass, the screen will only flicker a small segment when I try to turn it on god fucking dammit
Now I'm terrified of this again. The only time I really dropped my phone was when my old Galaxy S2 was on my lap, I forgot about it, and got out of the van (seat is pretty high).. the phone launched like a motherfucking Kerbal Space Program rocket, flew about three meters (nearly 10 feet for you imperialists) away from the car and landed display first onto concrete. Damage? One 1mm scratch and one 1mm dent at the top of the phone's frame. Not even visible until you looked real hard under good lighting. What saved it? This german made pouch did. Just that, no case, not even a screen protector. [t]http://i.imgur.com/RQvcFvw.jpg[/t] Now I might just go and order one for my Nexus 4 instead of buying unlimited amounts of cases.
so how bout that gorilla glass and this wonderful 2-layer shock resistant case system I had a droid bionic from release til this summer, dropped it a few times and it even skidded across a parking lot, and all I had was a tiny little scrape. My best guess for this is that there was some little fucker of a stone on the ground

that's nasty
wow
I had this happen one month, it started sending me numerous messages warning me about data usage the night before my billing cycle ended and it nudged it to 12 kb above my plan, extracting $10 for the next gig over
[editline]17th July 2013[/editline] Lots of YouTube videos being watched on my small potato.
[t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/WZJB/Screenshot_2013-07-17-14-46-13.png[/t] I don't use my mobile data much
so yesterday I got hit with a $750 phone bill, which means that the payment (and tacked-on activation fees) for my new galaxy S4 and my sister's iphone 5 (that I got for her birthday) just went through. and today, my nice galaxy S4, wrapped cozily in its super awesome shock padding and damage resistant OtterBox Commuter- -fucking exploded from a 2 foot (at most) tumble out of my pocket while I was getting out of my car. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] Also, lots of people just having the glass shatter in their pocket, which is just as terrifying.

Anyone know a good site that sells simple pouches? Checking out the website mentioned on the image. [editline]18th July 2013[/editline] Well that was misleading, only mouse and mouse-pads on that site.
Ha, Falcon Pro was smooth as butter on CM 10.1 and it's a little stuttery on TW 4.2.2 Still think I'm gonna stick to TouchWiz though. Let's do a little comparison Touchwiz 4.2.2 • Proper hardware support, especially camera • Less battery drain • Seems to be a bit less responsive/reactive • Bloatware (though I can get rid of it) • Multi-window on all the apps I want • Lack of frequent updates • Notification drawer is nicer IMHO (especially brightness control) • RAM seems to be quite a bit more cramped. Launching 2/3 apps and then coming back to Chrome results in it having flushed the pages out of memory. CM 10.1 • Hardware support is bleh, especially camera • Likes to battery drain on me a lot • Smooth as butter and responsive • No bloatware • No multi-window • Bleeding edge nightlies • Classic not-so-practical segregated quick settings + notifications • Chrome seems to stay in memory much better Ultimately the software features I get with TouchWiz are winning me over. I'll probably go back on Cyanogenmod if they ever get fully compliant hardware support but since they never got proper sources from Samsung that seems unlikely
• Notification drawer is nicer IMHO (especially brightness control)
Brightness control with the notification drawer was something I used constantly on my SGS2 with TW and CM. Shame Sense 5 doesn't have that feature.
http://www.androidcentral.com/new-nexus-7-pics-video-specs
Well this looks like a proper upgrade from the last one with a camera and headphone jack at the top! Might consider getting it for university if the price stays around the same as the initial launch price, although that may be a bit unlikely.
• Classic not-so-practical segregated quick settings + notifications
In CM you can set certain settings toggles to be available in the notification section. Also, you can set it so the specific panel (notifications vs quick settings) you get depends on which side of the bar you pulled down from.
