Same thing happens with my apps. Around 40% of all my orders are refunded.

I got it I just wanted to know if I should root first
[editline]26th July 2013[/editline]
which apparently I can't yet anyway
Yo tethering to my phone is cool as shit.
Aviate is seriously wonderful. It's just pretty smart and sleek, and makes everything much closer and easier.
Ditched chrome, now back to stock.
Anyways I really want chrome cast.
Not in Canada yet...

It is so great. And good looking. I put no time at all making my phone look good, and it looks better than most people with icon packs, custom widgets, and the like.
I feel like the only person that doesn't find the Homescreen or widgets to be of much use? I find myself mostly using the quick settings area for stats about the device, and a browser for everything else.
All I need is a clock.
I hardly miss them honestly. Which features do you actually use?
It feels like a lot of a lot of the SPen stuff is part of Touchwiz and won't work too well if I run Cyanogen or something. I prefer using the Touchwiz UI and launcher compared to Cyanogenmod on my GNex. I may backup and try CyanogenMod whenever they manage to get a somewhat stable version of 4.3. I was so sick and tired of constantly updating my old phone to fix stupid bugs.

I like the BBC stack widget
just read headlines and you're good to go
Honestly, getting a refund for an app is way too much effort. I usually buy apps only to try them out the next day. If I end up not using it? Tough shit, I shouldn't have bought it then.

Hey guys, my mate is having an issue with his Nexus 4. Today his touchscreen is having issues when he tried to do an OTA update from 4.2.2 to 4.3. He does not have root permissions or any custom kernels/recovery/ROMs installed and needs a little help.
Anybody know how to flash back to stock on the Nexus 4 without using the touchscreen and with USB Debugging turned off?

It turns out that the new Nexus 7 is actually very close to sRGB this time around, with overall gamut being just a bit bigger than the sRGB color space. In the GMB Delta-E and saturations Delta-E measures, arguably the two most relevant for color accuracy, the new Nexus 7 is second only to the iPad 4, and better than the iPad Mini in color accuracy, a significant step forwards from its predecessor.
The new Nexus 7 also goes very bright, up to 583 nits, with excellent contrast of 1273. This is again not achieved using any dynamic contrast cheating since those functions are thoughtfully disabled.
On the display side of things I'm very pleased with how far the Nexus 7 has come, and it's obvious that display quality was a big focus for the 2013 model.

So it turns out that the new Nexus 7 has a best-in-class display.
The new Nexus 7 (2013) with Android 4.3 includes support for fstrim, essentially idle garbage collection, which TRIMs the eMMC when a few conditions are met – the device is idle, screen off, and battery above roughly 70-percent. I’m told that TRIM support has been part of the eMMC standard since around version 4.2, it was just a matter of enabling it in software. The result is that the new Nexus 7 shouldn’t have these aging affects at all. Better yet, fstrim support has also been added to the old Nexus 7 with as of the Android 4.3 update, so if you’ve got a Nexus 7 that feels slow, I/O performance should get better after fstrim runs in the background. I'm checking on whether the other Nexus devices have also had TRIM support added. I would consider the slow storage aging problem fixed as of now, and Google took the eMMC and storage I/O performance issues with the previous Nexus 7 to heart for this version.

Awesome, this is another big deal. I'm glad they fixed this.
Bit of a question for you guys.
I've been running paranoid android alpha on my Nexus 4 since about a month after I had it.
Now I want to move to CM, as my PA version is very old, what's the best universal way to back up and restore as much as possible?

I would say Titanium Backup. You can backup apps and app data using this so that everything is exactly as you left it.

I don't like it. Looks less user friendly than the circle thing google has.
Just ordered the new Nexus 7 after reading the Anandtech mini review: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7176/nexus-7-2013-mini-review
It's a solid tablet for the price.

I REALLY want a Chromecast but it's US only for now. :(
Can't wait to see what the Plex app guys do with it.

Wait, you ordered the new tablet from the Play Store? How much did it cost for you in the UK?

Unlocking a devices bootloader, rooting it and flashing a new rom aren't user friendly either!
To be fair, if you are not a complete retard, following a tutorial on how to root/flash/unlock shouldn't be too hard

And neither is using a camera app, no matter how it works.
I can't use PowerAMP with headphones now because every time I want to switch songs the One start dialling up the last called number instead.
Been looking around for a way to disable it, but the only way I've seen so far is to buy an app for it...
I'll be buying a n7 2013 when it finally comes on the play store.
Annoyed at how long it's taking them to release it.

It's so weird, after I complained about it I tried it out again and no dialling of numbers from button presses...
I'll keep this as a backup, cheers bro!
Anyone know if the Nexus 10 is any good. Got asked about good tablets, but he thought the 7 inch N7 was too small

GPU struggles to drive the resolution.
Anyone know if the Nexus 10 is any good. Got asked about good tablets, but he thought the 7 inch N7 was too small
The Nexus 10 isn't really anything special. It's sluggish and the GPU really doesn't fit what it's meant to do.

I ordered it from eBuyer.com - a UK online retailer. £240 with free delivery.
They don't expect stock until the end of August though, sadly..
Thanks, Will continue to look around
