holy jizz i know what i'm buying if i decide to get a n7
You only get one shot at applying one if you actually get one. Make sure you use the hinge method to apply it. Make sure your screen is absolutely clean, use rubbing alcohol and make sure that there's zero lint on it before you remove the back plastic.

I've been trying to think of features to add to my wallpaper for version 2.0 but can't think of any. Does anyone have suggestions?

Might buy it soon if i don't have to buy any more essential stuff IRL Also once my phone dries out, it took a dunk in some water at work and i cancelled my insurance on it TODAY, rice better save it
My brother wanted to know how durable my phone (SGS) is so I looked up a drop test and this is what I found. Holy fuck what.
it looks like there's a screen protector (the button looks to be really sunken inside) of some kind. Still, I would never even come close to trying that if I were you :p
No wonder it took so much effort. That book you have it on is probably absorbing a lot of the impact. Next time try doing it flat on the desk or, better yet, some concrete. It's like when you see demos of people trying to break something with a hammer and they're holding the thing in their hand. [editline]28th July 2013[/editline] That said, my Galaxy S Fascinate was an amazing little phone. I gave it a cheap little silicone case and the thing never broke. I dropped the thing down entire flights of concrete stairs and it emerged totally unscathed. [editline]28th July 2013[/editline] I didn't know this. Google Drive for Android has a built in scanning feature. When you go to make a new document, you get a "scan" option, and it automatically tries to enhance it. It works amazingly well, and its ease of use means it's probably better than that Camscanner app I love so much. Plus, it's free. You can see a result here.
“Hush!” said Bernard suddenly, and lifted a warning tîn- ger; they listened. “l believe there’s sornebod§Y at the door,” he whispered.
AFAIK the scanning came with the latest major update where GDrive got the new navigation drawer.
optical character recognition recognition
Holy fuck it does OCR recognition.
holy shit brb scanning everything

It seems like a new OTA might be happening. Google merged a lot of commits to AOSP right after the 4.3 rollout (builds starting with JW*), so if you build from AOSP your build will start with JS*. For example this currently forces Nexus 4 (and probably other) developers to make two kernel versions. One for build JW* and one for build JS*. New Nexus 7 users are apparently getting updates to the JS* build right after they activate the tablet.
Finally worked out a quick way to pin all your tracks on play music 1. In the web interface make new playlist 2. Head to My Library and the Songs tab 3. Click the 1st track 4. Scroll down and shift+click the last track 5. Press the three dots near the top 6. Add to the playlist you just created 7. In the app pin the playlist [editline]28th July 2013[/editline] It's weird that something on the web had shift click that's probably why i didn't find it sooner
It seems like a new OTA might be happening.
Please no don't say that, sick of the million "Look at with with the update" screenshots in the nexus G+ community.
I bet this'll start tomorrow again. http://www.duolingo.com This is my new favorite app. It's helping me learn Spanish much more quickly than other methods I've used.
I'm still waiting for 4.3 to hit my N4. Anyone in the UK got it yet?
Still waiting for 4.3 to hit my CM :(
http://www.duolingo.com This is my new favorite app. It's helping me learn Spanish much more quickly than other methods I've used.
I'm trying it to learn German. The web version is much more useful for actual learning as it explains more about what you're doing wrong etc, but the app is great for practice. Edit: But overall, Duolingo seems to be the very best for learning a language online.
Girlfriends S2 overheats like fuck and the battery lasts half a day even if she doesn't use it. I think it's the kernel I installed over a year ago, it's running Cyanogenmod too atm. What kernel should I update to and should I stay with Cyanogenmod? She just wants better battery life. Also, can you change to a new kernel when your already on a custom one or do you have to do something to allow that? Would appreciate any help boyos
Are battery saving apps worth it, and if so which one is the best?

As for changing kernels, you can usually just flash another one over the current one. If there's something extra you need to do, the developer usually writes it in his release thread.

Is that 2.5 hours of usage with internet on etc or just being used for texting? What are some other good kernels? Is Cyanogenmod the way to go or is there another ROM I should try?
