Is there a tablet with the same aspect as ipad mini? i prefer the fatter look when reading.
The thing is that it's locked to AT&T. I don't know if putting a straight talk AT&T SIM will let it work.
It worked on my Inspire, which is an AT&T exclusive phone. I never unlocked the radio. I see no reason why it wouldn't work on the 8X, seeing as I'm sure I can adjust APN settings on WP8.
I found an app called Kainy. It streams PC games over local WiFi to your android thingy.

(The trial version is only monochrome.)
It works better than I expected but it's still unplayable.
Here's the amount of usable space after first booting up and updating my Nexus 7 16 GB. If you plan on getting it make sure this is enough.

Woah. That's less available space than in the first generation Nexus 7
apparently the moto x has glass that curves back seamlessly into the body of the phone which is pretty cool. might be my next phone when the contract on my S2 runs out

So, does that make it 200% or 300% easier to break?

looks like an htc phone so it should be pretty tonka

Sounds good. I don't know if I really want to get rid of it yet. I will definitely keep you in mind if I do decide to get rid of it though.
IT'S ALIVE. Had to wipe cache and dalvik to stop the boot looping but rice did the trick.
Now I'm stuck on EDGE signal, don't know if the dunk it took caused it or if T-Mobile's LTE rollout is affecting HSPA+
I bought a new Apple earpod from Ebay and arrived today. I have a SG SIII and I realize the volume control from earpod doesn't work. After a few research I didn't find any solution (like a apk or something). So my question is: There a way to volume controls work on S3? The Play/Pause and Skip Music works fine on my device...
Those are for Apple devices specifically. You need to look for headphones with volume controls that support Android devices.
Alternatively, just use the buttons on your phone, they work while the screen is off.
I cannot believe that there are actually Exynos fanboys. The Exynos 5410 was a fucking disaster. It didn't even have much of a performance lead over the S600 and somehow it used tons more power.
big.LITTLE is a band-aid for a CPU that's too leaky at low speeds or unable to hit performance targets at high levels.
big.LITTLE is amazing, if they bothered to get their scheduler working, and then deployed it, so all cores could be used at the same time, instead of the stupid only-switching-sets shit that it does now.

All of them working at the same time goes against what big.LITTLE is for.

I dunno, I would love for the Prius to activate the gas and electric motors at the same time. Turbo Prius!

Im pretty sure it does that.

The thing is that heterogeneous computing is a huge pain in the ass. It's not too bad to figure out how to schedule tasks when all cores are equal, but how would you do it with unequal CPU cores without completely destroying backwards compatibility?
Core migration is the only logical step here. And honestly, the two cores need to share L2 cache, with fast interconnect to all the other cores for cache coherency. That's the only way it can work, is if the core switching is almost instantaneous and incurs near zero power penalty. That way the shift can be seamless.
What kind of performance should the S3 be getting in Riptide GP2?
I have everything on low and resolution around half but it still slows down when other players are on the screen. I made sure to kill all other apps before launching it.
I'm running the latest default rom for it, 4.1.2. Would I get better performance with Cyanogenmod?
The curved glass thing on the Moto X has me pissed. That means I have to get a bumper, which is gonna be ugly as balls.
Glass with no frame WILL SHATTER ON IMPACT. If you drop a phone with curved glass and no frame and it lands on the face or corners, expect a shattered screen. It it doesn't shatter, you got lucky.
I'm not happy.

Well how 'bout that.

If the side bezel is made of glass it's going to break hilariously easily. If it's just glass that curves out like the One X/GS3, get a glass screen protector and never worry about dropping the phone on the glass, because the screen protector will absorb the shock and shatter instead. The anti-shatter film is also going to keep any shards from scratching the display.

I'm just worried about corner drops. That's the death of phones with this design.
could someone please help me install CM 10.1 on a 2nd generation kindle fire? i've been trying to figure it out but the few tutorials i have found aren't much help
i saw this as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2106463

anyone?
wtf did the latest S4 firmware update do and how the fuck do i move apps to my SD card
I don't think you can move apps to your SD card on the S4?
[editline]30th July 2013[/editline]
without rooting
wtf did the latest S4 firmware update do and how the fuck do i move apps to my SD card
if you have root you can create a symlink and put your app on the sd card
Just leave your apps where they're supposed to be... Your s4 has enough internal storage for your ten thousand apps you know, just move your music and pictures to your sd card.
[editline]30th July 2013[/editline]
I seriously do not understand people wanting to break app behavior by doing weird things like moving apps to sd card. If your phone storage is big enough, why move them at all?

Well for me it's spotify, you can download songs for offline usage but there's no option to save it to the SD card.
but yeah for small apps there's no need
