The Ignite sounds like a legitimate name for a phone.
Tried to plug my Nexus 4 charger in at night. Is every one of them this weak?

I guess the holo gods don't like me, this phone and its counterparts have been on self destruct since the day I got it.
isnt that just the protection earth or grounding or whatever its called in english...? if so, you wont even need that
Fuck me. I think my Galaxy Note II problems are getting worse. I caught it rebooting itself today and I had to reboot it myself.
I was just using the Live Chat for Samsung Canada's support and they gave me worse news. Since it was purchased outside the country (Got it from Swefox), the warranty for some fucking reason isn't valid. So I'd have to pay for repairs (Which is probably going to be a motherboard replacement) myself.
Why do I have the worst luck with phones.

I hope my Note II doesn't kick the bucket :(

Are you sure its a hardware issue?
I may have the option to get a free galaxy tab 2 10.1 from my work, should I go for it?
Well if it's free, you may as well. What are the conditions? Do you have any other options?
Are you sure its a hardware issue?
I've done a couple factory resets since I got it, though it might be worth trying again. Or I could install Cyanogenmod on it, though I'd like to avoid that.
Welp, I was going to be jumping ship off Verizon soon and starting my own contract but apparently my sister stole my last upgrade so I got switched to hers, so my contract now expires on 5/22/2014 instead of next month.

Is this the eMMC sudden death bug? If so, I would be pretty fucking pissed because it's Samsung's fault for using shitty eMMC.

Flash the latest stock image using Odin.
So I've got $300 on new tablet.
Should I go get old N7 or patiently wait for new N7? Mind you, I have to wait for, like, 2-3 months. Plus new stuff in Russia is always overpriced.

Wait, the new Nexus 7 is far better.
Just ordered a new nexus 7 from newegg(no tax). It should get here in a few days.
Also ordered this this and this. It was $10 for all 3 cases, pretty good deal.
Wait, the new Nexus 7 is far better.
yes its so much better i'm going to be selling my n7^1 from black friday to help cover the cost of a n7^2
Wait, the new Nexus 7 is far better.
Thought so. I just hate waiting. But if it's worth it, so be it.
Since you Americans already getting your Nexuses, can you tell about anything about it? Are all games having high FPS (considering it's specs, I think N7 should play everything nicely)? How good are those stereo speakers? Any problems with firmware? And is it really having a huge resolution which is also look great on 7" screen?
i'll probably get one in the next month or so, meppers has his already

My S3 has been shitting itself lately as well, constantly crashing. This morning I woke up, went to check my emails it crashed and wouldn't get past the boot animation, so had to factory reset and wipe the internal SD card to be able get it to load again.
5. Now The Galaxy S4 Arson Or Galaxy S4 Ignite
That sounds like actual Samsung US phone variants.
My S3 is now running better than it has since I got it, I blame not formatting my Internal SD card sooner.
I give it 2-3 hours before it starts shitting itself again and I have to find something else to blame.
Maybe my phone troubles arent over yet, now it battery drains on the charger and drains in 1.5 hours of non-use from 64%
Posting from my new 2013 nexus 7
The surround sound on this thing is trippy
I can't figure it out. Is it just always on or what? I don't see anything in the options nor do I have any surround sound media.
is it nice 2 have notification lights also wtf garry its treated as linux
The notification light feels superfluous on a tablet but it doesn't get in the way. Also I'm posting from my Nexus 7 2 right now and it sees it as Android. Strange.

I haven't done many tests but as I noted on one of the previous pages, the Nexus 7 2013 (henceforth referred to as the N72,) can outpace my Galaxy S4 on Epic Citadel. I'll do more tests if you want.
The speakers are loud and clear. I wish they were on the front but they sound great. Usually with phones and tablets I need to cup my hands around the back to bounce the sound into my ears but not with the N72.
Firmware is great aside from minor Android gripes (still no vanilla autorotate control for YouTube. This pisses me off. I want to watch videos while lying down on my side in bed, why am I not allowed to do this by default?) Just like last time I probably won't be using custom firmware, stock Android is the perfect mix of reliability, speed, and minimalism.
The screen is fabulous. I use my tablet primarily for reading, be it books, Google Currents, or browsing the web. It's an absolute pleasure on the N72.
All this said, the only reason I got this was because my old N7 broke. If I still had that I probably wouldn't need to upgrade because that thing is still a phenomenal reader. If you're in to cutting edge speed for games and such, however, the classic N7 will not make the cut anymore.
Here's the amount of usable space after first booting up and updating my Nexus 7 16 GB. If you plan on getting it make sure this is enough.

Here's Epic Citadel on my GS4 (first,) and Nexus 7 (second.)

Here's that test from a few pages back.
So I was reading the CyanogenMod changelog and...

Finally found a Micro USB that fits into my case and doesn't come loose and doesn't only charge at a certain angle. Just need to buy one from the internet as it's my mothers cable.
This could be good or bad, depanding on if you're grandfathered or not. I see you're in the US, so check out some of Sprint's new unlimited plans. The My All In plan is $110 with unlimited everything and 5GB hotspotting. If not that, go reseller (like ting). T-Mo would be good, but their service outside of metroplexes is shit.
I'm not presuming you don't know all of this already, just saying for the sake of thread content.
Yeah, I was going to jump on to T-mobile's $50 plan (since I'm in college and that's what I can afford) and a nexus 4, but I suppose since I was already going to spend the money I'll pick up the new Nexus 7 sometime soon and use that to tide me over until then.
The up side of the whole situation is that I do have unlimited 4G LTE through Verizon and boy do I ever abuse that. They keep calling and sending letters asking me to reduce my data usage (~25GB+ per month) and I keep telling them no.

Tore it down, holy oxidation batman. I don't have any iso alcohol so i scraped most of it off with a toothbrush and a tiny flathead, it's working normally, for now.
Any recommendations for rpg games, something long winded that I can pick up when sitting on the bus / train etc etc.
has anyone got riptide gp2??????
I found an app called Kainy. It streams PC games over local WiFi to your android thingy.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought the fuill version for 3 dollars. It's not perfect video quality as you can see but it usually runs at full frames, saves for the occasional hiccup. I had to lower video and sound quality to reduce the latency, but other than that it's virtually unnoticeable. You could probably play through an entire game like this. I'll give it a shot if I can get my PS3 controller working with it.
[editline]31st July 2013[/editline]
I've noticed that when this app is running, the audio pops and crackles out the speaker. I have no idea if the app is causing this or if this is a problem with my Nexus 7.
[editline]31st July 2013[/editline]
It happens with headphones too so it's not faulty speakers and it's only in that app.
[editline]31st July 2013[/editline]
It also happens on my S4. I was worried my tablet was defective. It's just a shitty app. :v:
