For some reason Snapchat has decided to stop working on my phone, it shows the notification but when I click it it takes me to my list and doesn't show any new snaps.
I guess my point was If I've payed over £300 for a device I expect the speakers to not sound like somebody farting through a walkie talkie
analogy of the year
TWRP or CWM/PhilZ? And why?
Whichever works best for your phone. TWRP has some more options, though. Either way, both usually work.

As a consumer though TWRP is slightly nicer because it has touchscreen support.

If I had to choose I'd choose TWRP because it's more advanced.

[editline]4th August 2013[/editline] So, the ZeroLemon battery for the S3 is really awesome. It's not just big; it's well-engineered. The discharge curve is extremely smooth. I had an EZOPower battery for my other phone, and while it had a high capacity, it tended to have sticking points in the discharge curve, like it would "stick" around 60% for a while, then drain a lot more quickly, and once it hit 15% it would die. So you could never really predict how long it was going to last based on the percentage. The ZeroLemon is extremely predictable. (Oddly, it actually starts discharging more slowly once it hits 15%, then it goes all the way down to 0% before dying. But I don't even hit lower then 30% most days because there's so much capacity, which is better for LiIon batteries. It's better not to drain them every time.)
Do you use the speakers on phones often though, I'v only used them once or twice to listen to news. I just tend to use headphones otherwise Even the people i know with HTC one's almost never use them from what i'v heard
When I'm at home it's really convenient to watch youtube without plugging in anything.
so my phone contacts app is refusing to hold any contacts for some reason. they're all in Google still, so is there anything on the play store i could use to access them?
For those wondering: If you ever do a full SD card restore, you will absolutely have to go and download a zip file that fixes the permissions of /data/media/.
so, after three long months going back and forth with t-mobile, i finally managed to upgrade to the s4. i ordered it online and t-mobile gave me an estimated delivery date of august 10th. then i got an email saying that my order is currently a "backorder" and there's no ETA. fuck
So I recently got a android device (Cowon Z2) and after finally getting it rooted I'm looking for a alt music app for playlists since for some godawful reason it isn't a default feature of the device, any suggestions?
doesn't google play music have playlist support? seems a bit weird if it doesn't
I haven't tried google play music yet seeing as the cowon is a music player itself it has it's own default app for music.
I like Doubletwist
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ikorolkov.poweramp.skins.ics
It's not so much the look as it is the layout; I'll give it another go with this though [editline]5th August 2013[/editline]
I haven't tried google play music yet seeing as the cowon is a music player itself it has it's own default app for music.
Oh right I had no idea. Pretty weird music player if it includes no playlist support
Oh right I had no idea. Pretty weird music player if it includes no playlist support
It has "bookmarks" but you only have one set, but hey it's android and can play flac files so I'm not going to complain too much.
reminds me, for some reason the "Samsung Hub" shovelware music player keeps being an asshole on my S4 and I haven't managed to get rid of the program. Every other time it connects via bluetooth to my car's audio, it'll boot up and start playing a random preview sample of a song from daft punk's get lucky album, which also means it cancels out what I was listening to earlier (that should have gone back to playing what I had on when I disconnected from the car earlier) how do I get rid of this crap also I just use spotify for music and playlists, though you have to pay a dumb sub and I don't like it that much anymore. oh and I also got my screen replaced finally terrible time running off my dying bionic
As far as music apps go I've switched over to Rocket Play instead of Google Play Music because it wouldn't play my tracks with the Nike+ app when I'm running. I synced the songs over with Windows Media Player on my computer which worked surprisingly well since Doubletwist doesn't work on Nexus 4 over USB sync.

Why does my phone have a duplicate android filesystem under \0? Any time I load up TWRP it only sees files in this \0 directory and not in the actual root.

[editline]4th August 2013[/editline] Or wait. Honestly, don't compromise on your upgrade, if your heart is set on the S4, it's worth the wait to get what you want. just realized that now that I've invested entirely in gmusic i've basically made it impossible for me to used any third party players fuck
How does one change video recording resolution on CM10? I couldn't find that option on my brother's SK17a and it records only in 480p.
