Haven't you heard? E-penis size leaderboards are the next best thing.
It's one of the worst benchmarks possible. Sunspider isn't much better but at least it's something.
It's probably because we don't realize how much we use them.
depending on how hard you throw your phone for SMTH...
Throwing it isn't the problem. Catching it is. SMTH is probably a worldwide idiot cull
Throwing it isn't the problem. Catching it is. SMTH is probably a worldwide idiot cull
Any store that sells cases, anti scratch plastic and new phones are probably laughing
I basically throw my phone around the house, so I'm probably fine. UAG cases are some tough shit.
Can anyone help me? My phone doesn't seem to charge very well anymore. I have a Droid 4, and it only seems to charge if the cord is at a very specific angle, this is the case with multiple chargers. The phone will always pick up the charger, but not actually be charging, for instance it stayed at 20% for a good 2 hours one time. From what I can tell it seems to be the phones charging port, but nothing seems visibly wrong with it (not bent/ filled with dust or lint), any ideas on what I could do?

Had that happen with a really old phone of mine. No ideas how to fix in that case though
Throwing it isn't the problem. Catching it is. SMTH is probably a worldwide idiot cull
I meant in relation to your parents being killed by apps though yeah if you wanna play the blame game they didn't catch it right
cheap chinese phones flash roms pick one. (Those things have absolutely no developer support for the most part. Save for the few better known brands, such as OPPO. And OPPO has an online store that ships all over Europe, although they're not exactly as cheap as the chinese copies of popular phones)
I'm late, but I just found two p. good roms for my huawei ascend y300 and i'm thinking about installing it, but rooting and unlocking bootloader is a big work, considering I have no computer atm.
It's funny that shareware emulators for PC used to be like $20 and now people complain if an Android app is more than $5
I'm okay with spending $8 for the app, I just don't like buying it off of faith. I have no idea if it's good or not.
I'm okay with spending $8 for the app, I just don't like buying it off of faith. Only thing that struck me as odd was that you can swap the screens back and forth from the screen options, but if you swap to DS-oriented top/bottom you can't swap it to bottom/top. Unlike mentioned before, you can use touch with the controls open, it's just that a the areas covered by buttons prioritize the buttons. It's just a click of the menu tab between your controls then aclick of the stylus button if you want to put away the buttons, which depending on the game can be an issue. I've happily dinked about FF Tactics A2 without my controls up at all, it's relaxing being able to do this

It thinks that landscape mode is portrait, and vice versa. I can't hold it without the screen being sideways.

[editline]8th August 2013[/editline] Oh wait I think it was the rotation control app I had installed fucking with it. (Android's default rotation is dumb as fuck so you need an app if you want to do things like watch YouTube while lying down sideways.)
I got a Razr HD off ebay in lieu of a Moto X or the rumored Motorola Nexus phone because I'm on verizon. It's actually pretty cool 0.o
I was just thinking about this like I'm perfectly fine spending $10 on fast food day to day, but god forbid the price of a nice app surpass $1.99
to be fair, apps don't keep you alive [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] nor do they need to be physically shipped cross-country using fossil fuels
I got a Razr HD off ebay in lieu of a Moto X or the rumored Motorola Nexus phone because I'm on verizon. It's actually pretty cool 0.o
Time to convert to Razr HD maxx?
So I still have some crappy old flip phone and my parents are offering to get me a smart phone. I've never really cared for one but consider it's 2013 it is probably about time. I was thinking of getting an android. Any suggestions? I don't keep up with phones
Sometimes, Sense can actually be really pretty. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6pLroAl.jpg[/thumb]
holy hell tag that
holy hell tag that
FFS the resize tools does nothing. One sec. [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] Fixed.
-snip-
I saw it :)
Time to convert to Razr HD maxx?
naw, too much money for parts. I could've got the maxx for the amount it would take to get the parts together. The battery life actually isn't that bad and I've got a good sized external. I'm just using it to hold off until i can get the X unlocked on Verizon or my upgrade rolls around. Supposedly verizon gets moto maker in november/december and my upgrade is in may. I'll either ask for it for christmas (least likely) or see what happens with the next nexus at upgrade time.
It's not exactly cheap, but I got one of these around the end of last year and it works great, plus the cover folds out into a simple stand that can hold up any phone/tablet.
Bit too pricey for me, but I shopped around a little bit... Would this also work?
I was reading reviews and found the pro can be configured 'without the middleman'. one guy goes on a tangent about how they'll never use moga's app because it's buggy and limits you mostly to moga-enabled apps (ruling out emulators entirely). It can swap to HID mode ("an obscure 'B' option"), becoming a general bluetooth controller compatible with anything. he mentions something you might find of use though- looking into it, the UDA is updated for the pro now. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.obsidianx.android.mogaime&hl=en note: it's functional, but has a bunch of extra features for rooted phones. neat I think the controller is a sound investment (if you don't already have ps3 controllers to spare I suppose)
Yes, I bought the universal software and it works REALLY well for snes/nes/gameboy emulators. But anything that requires the 2nd joystick is bonk. I can't get n64oid or mugen64 to map the 2nd joystick controls for whatever reason. Any games that require fast C button actions won't work well at all. As it turns out, a lot of people can't get the controller working on android 4.1.1+ because of some bluetooth incompatibly. Because of this I had to roll back to cm 10 on my t989.

I'm tempted to order one, but prices that cheap have me wary.
You know, the fact that the Butterfly S has a big battery suggests to me that HTC, an OEM that is basically all about the smallest battery possible, is shifting with the trends. LG Chem's stacked batteries also mean that it's much easier to achieve high volumetric efficiency for battery packing. Things should get interesting.
