[editline]8th August 2013[/editline] Oh wait I think it was the rotation control app I had installed fucking with it. (Android's default rotation is dumb as fuck so you need an app if you want to do things like watch YouTube while lying down sideways.)
For me I always have rotation locked to portrait using the default rotation control, and Youtube overrides that when playing videos.
Uhm, is my alarm supposed to turn off after a short while? It's like google is assuming I'm so on schedule I wont bother to turn it off, I just run to the shower.

They don't keep ringing the alarm forever for battery, vibrate motor, and speaker longevity.
its usually 10 minutes, which to me is too long
its usually 10 minutes, which to me is too long
That's why you turn off the alarm.
My alarm generally doesn't ring for longer than ten seconds Partly because I have to get up and go to the other side of the room to shut it off and partly because it's this, at full volume I am well equipped to wake myself up in the mornings.
It will. This is normal for most cellphones.
That's why you turn off the alarm.
i do. its when others dont turn their alarms off its a problem
I have this as my alarm I never sleep in.
My clipstep is better Put it on big speakers on the other side of the room, you have 12 seconds to turn it off before the rape begins

You made my glass fall off the desk. [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] This was my Alarm for a long time
so my samsung vibrant has finally run its course, screen cracked and nothing visible on-screen time for a new phone from t-mobile which should i get: nexus 4, htc one, xperia z, or galaxy s4?
I'm a boring fucker who uses default ringtones, alert tones and alarms.
When one has Cyanalarm, who needs anything else
so my samsung vibrant has finally run its course, screen cracked and nothing visible on-screen time for a new phone from t-mobile which should i get: nexus 4, htc one, xperia z, or galaxy s4?
bump for new page, sorry guys this is pretty time critical
I have a nexus 4, but have tried the One and S4 in passing and the nexus gets my vote. It may be old but damn it's smooth and stable, plus 4.3 is nice to have
bump for new page, sorry guys this is pretty time critical
Xperia Z is just out, it's very bleh. GS4 if you want a buttload of features, HTC One if you want a great feeling phone, Nexus 4 if you want good software support (a new Nexus phone is due this year.)
so my samsung vibrant has finally run its course, screen cracked and nothing visible on-screen time for a new phone from t-mobile which should i get: nexus 4, htc one, xperia z, or galaxy s4?
One or the n4. The Nexus 4 might be getting a refresh though, so I would go for the One. Then put CM or something on it.
bump for new page, sorry guys this is pretty time critical
The N4 is a steal for the price, it compares pretty damn well those other options at twice the cost. Not to mention the instant updates to the latest version of android
thanks guys, nexus 4 it is i'm hoping t-mobile will offer some kind of time-window for exchanging the phone; apparently nexus 5 is due in october and sounds like a beast. otherwise i'll just have to pick up something cheap until then
My clipstep is better Put it on big speakers on the other side of the room, you have 12 seconds to turn it off before the rape begins
This sounds like valid therapy to my waking up problem. Now I just need speakers like these.
Buy the Nexus 4 from Google. I believe T-Mobile still charges the $20/month for the Nexus 4 even though it's like, what, $350 off contract, direct from Google? I don't know the exact numbers but you'll end up paying more by buying through T-Mo.
When one has Cyanalarm, who needs anything else
In one of the recent nightlies they replaced the Klaxxon of Doom with some stupid relaxing tone. I promptly restored the old .ogg file.
to be fair, apps don't keep you alive [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] nor do they need to be physically shipped cross-country using fossil fuels
apps also don't usually leave me feeling bloated and turn out to be shit after a day I think the 'fast food' denoted more about wasting a bunch of money on 25 cents worth of crap food when I could just make it myself but I was pretty hungry when I made the analogy also on the topic of alarms, I used to have one like that clipstep example, but it wasn't quite as ear-raping so much as it was genuinely terrifying
In one of the recent nightlies they replaced the Klaxxon of Doom with some stupid relaxing tone.
What?? They got rid of the "cats having enthusiastic sex outside your window" version of the alarm? Damn, I once put it on a friends phone and set the notification to that.
I'm a boring fucker who uses default ringtones, alert tones and alarms.
ever since I got my galaxy s4 I've been too lazy to make any new alerts yet, so my morning alarm is 'morning flower' and I hate it so much that it wakes me up in a fit of rage
ever since I got my galaxy s4 I've been too lazy to make any new alerts yet, so my morning alarm is 'morning flower' and I hate it so much that it wakes me up in a fit of rage
My default is "Walk in the forest" (which sounds so chingrish it's not even funny.) My favorite alarm has always been the Alarm tone on iOS. Blaring klaxons makes for a very awake person.
I use Sleep As An Android with Godot Fragrance of Dark Coffee, so it gradually gets louder.
