so my samsung vibrant has finally run its course, screen cracked and nothing visible on-screen time for a new phone from t-mobile which should i get: nexus 4, htc one, xperia z, or galaxy s4?
HTC One
Finally got the new maps update, looks nice but how's the offline preloading? I know how to activate it but how does it compare to the Olde version? Preloading seems really fast, like too fast.
Am i the only one that uses a low and calm alarm tone ? Although, when needed, i use this That on high volume is very effective
I use Sleep As An Android with Godot Fragrance of Dark Coffee, so it gradually gets louder.
it's a good app. Get an issue once in a blue moon, where it suddenly gives me complex math when I have it set for the basic addition problems [editline]e[/editline] wake up feeling like a winner
What?? They got rid of the "cats having enthusiastic sex outside your window" version of the alarm? Damn, I once put it on a friends phone and set the notification to that.
I've always wanted to steal my friend's phone, open up the voice recorder, scream as hard as I can, save and then set it as the default alarm tone. Need a system in which we trace with our finger what we want precached and it does - like the lasso tool.
I've always wanted to steal my friend's phone, open up the voice recorder, scream as hard as I can, save and then set it as the default alarm tone.
my friend did exactly that, but only for a ringtone set just when he calls "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHGHGHGHHAHGGHHHHHHhhhh it's aaaaaay jaaaaaayyyy"
My friend once jumped onto somebody's unlocked PC at a lan party and changed the steam message sound to a really fucking loud beep
And now there's rumors that Asus will do the Nexus 10.. well fuck.
It might be software related, Google could have fucked up the Play Services shit. But let's not rule out hardware, since Asus has such a great track record with shipping working GPS hardware...

[editline]9th August 2013[/editline] I use this with Sleep As Android, makes me feel patriotic in the morning. :v:
It might be software related, Google could have fucked up the Play Services shit. But let's not rule out hardware, since Asus has such a great track record with shipping working GPS hardware...
I'm afraid this is HW related and would require a HW revision so current users would be fucked, just like back with that Transformer (don't even mention [del]solution[/del]disaster Asus came up with to fix that) a while ago. But the fact it seems to connect fine and only after some amount of time it disconnects could also mean it's an issue with software. I just hope that whatever it is, it gets identified and fixed fast, even if it means making a new HW revision.

Good laptops, good hardware, good monitors (if you get one without a dead pixel) but they can't seem to make a tablet that rolls off the assembly line with a consistent success rate.
This is my alarm sound and I'm not even joking. I get a split second of panic when I hear it because of how I've associated it with me being jarred awake.
got in the moba controller already, amazon prime rocks. Works great, had to fiddle with the driver app to finally get it to catch but it's perfect. Also for the DS emulator, you can map a key to swap screens, so using the massive screen and ultra tiny 1:1 pixel scale screen is a lot more viable. Wouldn't recommend fullscreening a single though, you won't see any notification from the secondary screen if it's important at all
This is my alarm sound and I'm not even joking. ended up buying the cheapest android t-mobile offers, the prism 2 for $120. the good news is that since i'm a very old customer, i don't pay any interest on the monthly payments ($5 a month), and i didn't pay anything upfront except the sales tax it's so damn tiny compared to my vibrant, but it'll do until n5

NOO YOU POSTED THE DONGLE WHY [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] Actually, size-wise I think Dildo would be a better name.
be free, dongle
NOO YOU POSTED THE DONGLE WHY [editline]9th August 2013[/editline] Actually, size-wise I think Dildo would be a better name.
or, just shorten it to Dong
ASUS quality control does it again
There goes my plan on using it for Ingress
or, just shorten it to Dong
wingdangdoodle I broke my game on the DS and had to completely wipe all the data I managed over the past day, meh for future reference, forgot to save on google drive but that's really handy knowing I could accidentally bork something up again. my bad though, trying to see if the code stuff worked and poked at some more experimental looking stuff. better news though, the moga pro is working gorgeously
glass could be $299: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1297727
glass could be $299: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1297727

The explorer edition was likely $1500 just to weed out the people who weren't serious about submitting feedback or getting a head start on developing for it.
this is exactly the thing I kept telling people clearly they wanted the best and brightest developing stuff that they know would make the device strong at launch, instead of a bunch of casuals snatching the unit up because "yay I got it first", halting time to get it to more serious developers (lookin' at you oculus)
I'm still wondering how Glass works with prescription glasses, thinking that maybe the Glass frame can take lens as well.
I'm still wondering how Glass works with prescription glasses, thinking that maybe the Glass frame can take lens as well.
I thought they were releasing a version that clipped onto existing glasses frames haven't read into it for a little while though, but I know they confirmed there'd be the ability to use it with prescriptions.
I thought they were releasing a version that clipped onto existing glasses frames
I thought I saw a picture of a guy wearing Glass and had sunglass lens in the Glass frame. Would be cool if I could take it to my optometrist and get lens put into it, or just clip the side part to existing frame.
Can anyone help me? My phone doesn't seem to charge very well anymore. I have a Droid 4, and it only seems to charge if the cord is at a very specific angle, this is the case with multiple chargers. The phone will always pick up the charger, but not actually be charging, for instance it stayed at 20% for a good 2 hours one time. From what I can tell it seems to be the phones charging port, but nothing seems visibly wrong with it (not bent/ filled with dust or lint), any ideas on what I could do?
Couldn't fix this, but Verizon is sending me a brand new one free of charge so I lucked out.
yay
It was just the other day when it came out that complications with Qualcomm licensing was keeping Google from posting the binaries and full factory image for the new Nexus 7 tablet. The issue was so irksome that Jean-Baptiste Quéru (JBQ), Google's Android open source manager, decided to leave that post. Well, that must have lit a fire under someone, because Google just posted the image and drivers for the Razor hardware.
Google Glass could be up to or more than 300 dollars.
I just bought a Galaxy S4, which should arrive on Monday. Anyone else have one and have some advice on what to do first with it? I know a lot of people hate Touchwiz but I want to at least give it a chance for a few days before replacing it. [editline]10th August 2013[/editline]
Google Glass could be up to or more than 300 dollars.
Saying that's basically saying "Google Glass will cost something". "Up to" means anything equal to or less than, and "more than" is greater than, translating to "less than, equal to, or greater than 300 dollars".
