So I updated maps and it looks nice and all but the gps compass is broken. It usually only points north.
Calibrate your compass. There's several guides for smartphone compass calibration online, one should work. The whole "do a figure 8" didn't work for me on my N4, but rotating the phone in each axis (while having a separate compass app open) a few times did.
A launcher. Get a launcher. Or well yknow, root.
What's the point of rooting if its his first smartphone and he has just got it? Most people don't even need a point to root it and do it anyway.
What's the point of rooting if its his first smartphone and he has just got it? Most people don't even need a point to root it and do it anyway.
Rooting is practically useless to the basic user. Maybe, if you have a mid-low phone, rooting and flashing a light rom can help you, but just people with experience in android.
So I did some digging into my 4GB of space not being usable issue, and it seems like Samsung is just a real fuckin' dick and lumps all 16GB into usable disk space for the Settings disk utility. Which is gay as hell since OS is like 2GB, Cache is another ~1GB, and some smaller stuff that adds up to... surprise! 4GB.

Would a glowing Arc reactor in his chest convince you?
bought a htc one to wait until the Edge comes out
I've seen three to four pages like this now There's news, hey, hey Hey hey HEEEEEEEEEY THE DUTCH PRINCE FRISO DIED DID YOU HEAR? HE DIED People often die in his situation Friso's death came unexpected, says pm AND Rtl (in another article) The life of Friso Friso is not getting a state burial [t] http://www.imgur.com/kFnK8mk.png[/t] Shut the Christ up, shitty news feed. [editline]12th August 2013[/editline] I bet you don't know what he looked like [editline]12th August 2013[/editline] Hold on, make that like 10 pages, I wasn't done reading my feeds yet. Christ almighty.
Did you know that the Dutch prince died?
is there a tasker context for volume? i want to keep it from exiting silent mode when i unlock my tablet if my tablet was already in silent mode before hand (sleep mode)
Oh man I saw my first Nexus 4 in public. Some lady was carrying one in a store. The phone may look like every single other phone from the front but there's a distinct curve that I noticed along with the black stock settings me as well. Pretty exciting as I never saw anybody with one in the U.S. [sp]The reason it says I'm posting from an iPhone is because I'm posting from my iPod. My nexus is charging in the other room now[/sp]
Did you know that the Dutch prince died?
Fucking finally.
is there a tasker context for volume? i want to keep it from exiting silent mode when i unlock my tablet if my tablet was already in silent mode before hand (sleep mode)
There are built in variables: %VOLA, %VOLC, %VOLD, %VOLM, %VOLN, %VOLR, and %VOLS. Alarm, Call, DTMF, Media, Notification, Ringer, and System, respectively.

this might be a pretty dumb question, but is there going to be an android 4.3 update planned for the galaxy s4 anytime soon?
this might be a pretty dumb question, but is there going to be an android 4.3 update planned for the galaxy s4 anytime soon?
GPE or touchwiz touchwiz probably won't be for another 6ish months if not longer add carrier bloatware QA time you'll be at at around 8

Looks a bit Google+ish, without all the bad parts of it. I like it.

I'm not too fond of their obsession with making everyone's avatars circles, it looks out of place on a wall of squares

Stop freaking out. You won't brick unless you set secureflag 3. If it didn't give any error messages like flush again immediately, you can just enter fastboot reboot. [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] If it does say Error 90: Please flush image again immediately! or something similar, run the same exact fastboot flash zip Firmware.zip command, and once it says success, "fastboot reboot". [editline]13th August 2013[/editline] Feel free to add me on steam: Hunt3r.j2 If you need help, that's where you can IM me.

Goddammit android! Why does autorotate suck so much. I've sent like 4 or 5 text messages to early and 1 email because it just rotates and hits send somehow. I wish it was as smooth as iOS.
