Goddammit android! Why does autorotate suck so much. I've sent like 4 or 5 text messages to early and 1 email because it just rotates and hits send somehow. I wish it was as smooth as iOS.
This literally applies to everything

Apart from when text messages scroll through the notification bar, they got that shit on lock

I'm actually using the Play Music color theme for it right now, it looks pretty nice.

The album art not being perfectly centered is driving me insane though.
So my Galaxy Nexus finally died completely today after 3 years of fun ;(
Bought an HTC One though and I plan to flash the Google Edition ROM onto it because I despise the Sense skin moreso than Touchwiz. Is this good plan?

Sure. AT&T version is very easy to flash with no MID change needed.

You lose IR functionality and get a shit camera in return but other than that, it is better.
CM10.2 for the Galaxy s3 is finally there :D:D:D

My carrier is T-Mobile so I have no idea if that would be necessary or not.

Apparently the IR is functional as of 4.3, and the camera keeps getting better. I'll try out sense when I get the phone tomorrow but if it doesn't work out I'll have to flash the GE ROM. Either through the complete conversion method (so it can get OTA's) or just flashing the GE ROM by itself.

All my friends are using the Sense ROM on their HTC Ones and not the GE ROM. However, I am not sure if that is because they prefer the Sense ROM or they aren't as tech inclined to properly fiddle with the phone

Wasn't that an Exynos4 phone? I thought I heard Andrew Dodd say that the current developers are tired with these

Everybody has been talking about this. What is Chromecast and why should I care about it?

Nexus Q2
Updated my S3 to the latest nightly CM. Gained a pretty camera app, lost phone capabilities
Time to choose
Edit: Now gets stuck during boot. Crap
Now you don't have to choose!

You didn't lose phone capabilities, it's just a different app.

He means he can't use his phone stuff on the latest nightly
Didn't matter anyway since it didn't want to start. Did a factory reset in the end
He means he can't use his phone stuff on the latest nightly
I have the same phone, same rom, had the same problem. Phone stuff works fine, it was just the phone app being replaced.
Next payday I'm going to be ordering my Nexus 7.
Can't fucking wait to get it.
Any tips on how to improve Google Now usability? Most of the time it only displays temperature, nearby restaurants, and how long it takes on car to get home, when I usually use bus. It doesn't display, for example, how long it's gonna take the bus to get to the bus stop, as they announced on I/O 2012.

try using it to search for specifics like the bus times, I've found it picks up on common stuff pretty fast

Well I don't usually voice search on the street.

on the google now screen there's a search bar at the top where you can type in commands
also, if you're logged into your google account on gmail/G+, doing a search on google will end up trickling into your GNow screen, I always find time-to-address cards for locations I look up on maps.google.com and such

Emigrate to the US, aren't most of the commands only available in the US?

I had the same situation with my S2. Though it was only stuck when I tried reverting to 10.1, so I'm stuck with 10.2 now because it's less painful than installing and setting up everything all over again.
Speaking of which, does anybody know how does one access the 'advanced' settings menu in 10.2, where you could access things like outdoor mode?

I'm on 10.2. It's not worth it for the camera as it's kinda shite and crashes on me (Focal that is, the new stock camera app looks a bit better but appears to lack some features).

I've been wanting to get it but it sold out before I could get the spare cash to buy it.
