no. LG is terrible with software updates. If this is your first smartphone and you think you don't care about updates, you probably will once you have it. Seriously, get HTC, a nexus, (new) motorola or Samsung, and even then look at how they are updated.
I'm on a Windows Phone, do you think I already know about updates. I have a Nexus 7 tablet, currently the Android encryption enabled itself without my fucking knowledge and the sdcard is fucking bolted shut, check out tech support if anyone could help me Basically I sent the WP7 fucker in for repairs and I'm sick and tired of using it and I know when I get it'll play up. I'd love a Galaxy s4 nexus because those things look sexy especially with stock but the LTE bands aren't supported by any Australian carrier and plus I couldn't be fucked purchasing one from the states and paying a lot for shipping. The phone market is so confusing and doing research is a pain in the arse, I'm basically trying to find a decent phone that has a decent camera with decent battery life that I could get a solid 2 years out of. Nexus 4 is great my brother has one just that if I purchased it, the nexus 5 would come out and it'd be a bit shitty, also the N4's camera sucks from what I've seen.
Ever since I updated to CM10.2 I've been unable to connect to Google Play. I tried googling the issue but people say the best way to fix it is check the date. My phones date is accurate and I was able to use the play store before switching to CM10.1.
You need to download the new gapps package for android 4.3, then you'll most likely have to log out of your google account and log back in. The play store should work after that.

It's pretty good with updates (especially with the Google Edition ROM), it has LTE (I don't know if it works in AU) and the camera is pretty damn good. It has amazing speakers and it is really fast.
I'm sick of this weird battery drain bug I've got on my S3 where the "media server" process keeps killing my battery, I need to enable power saver just for it to get through the day How easy is it to install CM on it?
I've heard great things about the one but supposedly it has shocking battery life?
I went from Lumia 800 to HTC One about a month ago. I can use it throughout the day and still have 40% battery left, with web browsing, texting and the odd game. It's such a leap forward from the Lumia. Dunno why I put up with it for so long :v:
plus I couldn't be fucked purchasing one from the states and paying a lot for shipping.
Galaxy S4*** and HTC One can be changed to the "Google Editions" running stock Android, you don't necessarily have to purchase the GE editions directly. *** Regarding the S4, it has to be the i9505 (Quadcore Snapdragon version), not the i9500 (8core Exynos). Just FYI.
How long did you last if I may ask?
I got the Lumia 800 on launch day, so about a bit over a year and a half. HTC One is just so far ahead its insane.

Took me maybe 10 - 15 min. Don't remember all i did, but i don't remember anything going badly. Can't remember what guide i followed though
Any word on a new nexus phone from google?
saw this in my Google+ feed
the rare elliptical planet
I've heard great things about the one but supposedly it has shocking battery life?
Battery life is pretty good. Coming from an LG Optimus 3D I love the battery on the One. I don't have to worry too much about it, unless I use it to navigate long distances. And even then it often does fine.
the rare elliptical planet
I literally do not understand people who aren't bothered by pictures that aren't 1:1 to their original ratio, I don't care if it gets cropped and you lose some of the picture, just fit to screen god damn
Ok, ordered (more like, left a request) the HTC One. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a call and pick it up after work. My city even has LTE, and even my internet plan includes it, and not even for a higher price :v:. Is it true that you have to enable 4G/LTE every time you want to use it? (I don't really care, I still got 100mbs a day on 3G speeds)
I got the Lumia 800 on launch day, so about a bit over a year and a half. HTC One is just so far ahead its insane.
I got mine July last year and I don't think I could last another year with it, just that HTC one looks a bit expensive for my price range of $300-$430
I've heard great things about the one but supposedly it has shocking battery life?
The One has pretty great battery life. Around 5 hours of screen on browsing in normal scenarios that involve going outside and lots of standby time, around 6-7 hours with less standby and more WiFi. [editline]19th August 2013[/editline]
Any word on a new nexus phone from google?
It will be a Motorola phone. @Evleaks for info. Besides if I got the LG, couldn't I just put stock on it and receive google updates or have I got that completely wrong and I should shut up now?
Besides if I got the LG, couldn't I just put stock on it and receive google updates or have I got that completely wrong and I should shut up now?
LG writes shit drivers so even if you were up to date on your Android version, good luck having an accurate battery reading. [editline]19th August 2013[/editline] Hey so if I was to get a SD card for my phone could I start saving all photo and video to it? I have a few gigs of both I would like to free up.
Besides if I got the LG, couldn't I just put stock on it and receive google updates or have I got that completely wrong and I should shut up now?
You can flash ROMs based on the Nexus 4, but you can't get OTA. That requires flashing a full firmware package and that is also a good way to require JTAG/logic board replacement.

Guess I'll have to keep looking around, maybe an s4 or something because they don't seem as expensive and I can flash stock on that hopefully, I just love stock android its so beautiful and way better than touchwiz or sense tbh

If you have an i9505 you can flash to a GPe ROM, same with the One. Standby drain is around a third of a percent an hour with reasonable sync and low partial wakelock on LTE.

However, there's now a button in the bottom right corner of the video to force landscape if you want. I think this is the ideal solution to this previously controversial situation.
This is the best update Of All Time.
