Well, it is well used and has had a failure (wouldn't boot up for a few days, buyer knows). Battery life is also below average because its been living on the charger for a year.
Also, it's apparently an 120GB 840 Pro, worth $150.
Highest I'm seeing the touchpad is $145 on ebay, so I'm still thinking I'm winning here.
If it's 120GB it's not the pro version.

nope you can get a 120gb pro

So what do people think the best case for the Nexus 4 is?
I got a Nilkin flip one but it started falling apart and got a replacement that fell apart too.
I want something that can protect my phone but isn't really bulky and make the phone super ugly.
Sort of like the flip covers for the S3.
Any recommendations?

I have the official one, and unlike many others, my plastic frame never cracked at the USB port during normal use. I even managed to separate the glue between the plastic and the rubbery bits and disassemble it, and believed that meant mine was free of the defect. Months later, I take it apart for the ~50th time, and naturally the plastic frame snaps in the process. It still holds though, and it'd be fixed with a dab of glue.

The non-pro version states that it has 120GB, while the pro advertises 128GB. However, after windows formats my pro, I have exactly 120GB on my pro. Pretty confusing imo
The only real way to tell if its a pro or not would be to test the write speeds, or see if it has 112GB after format
Bought a S1 yesterday, got it in the post today, flashed it this morning and am now waiting for a usb jig to come in the post.
[Q] [CM 10.1 Nightlies] android.process.media gone insane
Like you probably expected from the title, the media process is currently using up obscene amounts of my CPU for some reason, and for extended periods of time.
I Googled, and I got two solutions:
Clear the Media Storage app's data
Remove and/or repair the problem file
The problem is I cleared the Media Storage data and removed all sound files from my phone, and the problem persists. So it's a different problem. I can temporarily remedy the problem by going into its app info and tapping "Force Stop", however this is undesirable for quite a few reasons.
This wasn't a problem in the April 12th nightlies, but from April 30th onward (I don't normally update often) this started happening.
Any ideas?
Mate wants to flash cm10.1 on his xperia z, he bought it retail, checks if he can unlock his bootloader, says no. Why does it say no when he bought his phone retail and not under contract, and what can we do about it?

my phone has the exact same thing, if it says no, you cannot unlock the bootloader.
I'm so glad i got to keep my old battery when i mailed my broken phone, now i don't have to give two shits about extending my battery life.

Thing is, his phone should have an unlockable bootloader, he bought it retail, retail phones should have an unlockable bootloader.

media processes are a fucking nightmare. I'm so glad I didn't have a single problem with any of them on my Nexus 4.
edit: fixing them is pretty much a guessing game (from what several CM devs said in the past). Trouble is they sometimes break without even being touched.

the only permafix I have is reverting to April 12th's nightly, but I don't want to be on April 12th's nightly.

the only real reason is either 1) it's actually carrier locked, or 1b) it was a carrier locked phone but was unlocked or 2) Sony messed up

Turns out he used a bad root method which locked his bootloader, now he's trying to figure out how to flash a fix. I have no idea how since I've only owned samsung phones and apparently flashing doesn't work the same.

maybe that's why mine is locked too, pretty sure it's because carrier lock

isn't the name printed on the drive itself? or, y'know, the box?
I myself would love a 128/256 gig 840 pro, woud be a great upgrade to my 120gig agility 3 that I got before I realized that OCZ SSDs are fucking shite
alright i reverted to April 12th and it's still wigging out
I'm going to use Titanium Backup then do a fresh install of CM, see if that fixes this for good

why would you buy an S1?
also afaik, at least for my S2, you can replicate everything the USB jig does via button combinations on the phone or via software

It's useful when you've bricked your phone. A USB jig will often still force your phone into download mode.

Charge both of them in the phone? Once the first one hits 100% swap them, repeat and just keep the extra on me.
It's not a super convenient solution but it works.

Doesn't really work when I only charge my phone at night :P
I figure for the most part, i won't need the extra battery but it's there if i need it. I charge my phone every chance i get though
I charge my phone at night and at school, probably 2-3 times a day.

Yeah the S1 does have a weird button combination that simulates the jig. I've had to do it before when I bricked everything.
Also why would you buy a 3 year old phone? I'm still looking for an adequate replacement for mine.
hey, free electricity! and wifi (used for youtube videos a.k.a. preloading)

yep, home+power+volume down gets you into download mode, the same but with volume up gets you into the recovery
