Ever since my phone took a dunk and I fixed it, it does the weirdest shit. Like dropping the SD Card out of nowhere, causing my music player to flip tits and not work until reboot, music skipping and the occasional crash on call/photo
I wish more phones had physical keyboards
I won't lie, I like the looks of the new Droid 5. That said, something about physical keyboards just rings to my teenage years and I don't like it.
I've never really cared for most of the keyboard phones out there, I can't stand sliders. Something about a slider phone just makes me think about the plastic rails that it slides on grinding themselves back and forwards for the phone's entire life until the screen just falls off. I absolutely love the Z hinges on my G2/Desire Z though. It's by far the most pleasing to use phone and after about an hour it feels second nature to open the keyboard. HTC call this the Z hinge. It has been specially developed in response to feedback that HTC got from customers regarding their other QWERTY devices. On other handsets, not just from HTC, the top row of keys on the keyboard was positioned very close to the screen so that when it was in the open position some found it hard to use that top row. The Desire Z addresses this by having the QWERTY sit almost flush with the screen when its open. Less of a step means it's easier to type on that top row.
However, there was a huge backlash which included people being too dumb to understand the design in that the screen doesn't actually snap into place or anything like that. This included thousands of returned phones of people thinking they are "broken" as well as your usual idiots who manage to break them by snapping off the screen or something stupid. So I got the double dip flip case. Disappointed by the lack of... well, something that keeps the cover closed, it's like half open all the time
i have photon q by motorola with aokp 4.2 flashed it has a physical keyboard
My only problems with the HTC Desire Z/G2 were the 800mhz processor, and the fact the camera lens got so scratched after a few months I didn't even bother taking pictures anymore keyboard was 10/10 though [editline]27th August 2013[/editline] Oh and mine was faulty so it would vibrate louder than it rang, so I always kept it on vibrate [editline]27th August 2013[/editline] BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
so I always kept it on vibrate
You sound like a girl I knew at high school
You sound like a girl I knew at high school
I don't know how to interpret that
She was rather......happy her phone's vibrate was powerful and kept it on vibrate. On a different note since it's midnight and I'm not thinking straight, got an email from Amazon saying my Chromecast will be delivered by the end of September, not December. Was hoping the ABC in Australia would support it with their catchup service, but they have been working a solution to get it working on Android for over a year so I have no faith.
The vuvuzela of phones :v:
my older PDA phone (windows mobile something) was awful with vibrating, when it reached 10% battery it'd vibrate on full for a solid 10 seconds to let me know the battery was getting low then it would vibrate for another 10 to tell me it was at 5% then by the time I looked at the screen it'd start to vibrate to say it's shutting down then run out of battery before finishing the proper shutdown

The problem with this article is that the author doesn’t understand what Nexus phones are. They’re not just “Google phones” or developer phones, they’re reference phones. They’re the example the OEMs are supposed to follow. It’s not Google’s job to dogfood shitty Samsung phones because Samsung essentially can’t follow instructions.
I wish more phones had physical keyboards
I never, ever use mine
physical keyboards suck if they're that small, they're just not pleasant to use
SwiftKey just makes using a physical keyboard look bad
Anyone know of a space analyzer tool for android, like Spacesniffer is for Windows. I keep getting warnings about low internal space but i don't know what's taking up the space

Hey since my phone has some snapdragon processor and what not, does it mean it has a decent DAC? Anyone know how good or bad the DAC is?
Seems like an Cyanogenmod update broke CWM, my Note is now stuck on boot, cannot go into recovery either, I guess I have a brick now..
Seems like an Cyanogenmod update broke CWM, my Note is now stuck on boot, cannot go into recovery either, I guess I have a brick now..
Umm can you go into download mode? (If you can, you should install TWRP instead of CWM; it tends to break less)
Umm can you go into download mode? (If you can, you should install TWRP instead of CWM; it tends to break less)
Actually Download mode still works, never did anything with it so I have no idea how to make it work EDIT: You are a wizard. After I pressed cancel in download mode CM started up normal and fine...
Samsung Galaxy series are extremely hard to brick. At worst you would've lost data but you could easily flash it through download mode and odin, and have it back working.
Samsung Galaxy series are extremely hard to brick. I read in the CM forums that someone managed to fix it with odin and Philz Kernel, however this is pretty much out of my league.
Well I'd rather not give you advice on what exactly to do, since I haven't had a Samsung device in my hands for a while, but there's loads of others here who should know.
Anyone got a new update? Says it's 4.3 still, probably just bug fixes. Need to wait for my phone to charge up first before I can install it.
Hey since my phone has some snapdragon processor and what not, does it mean it has a decent DAC? Anyone know how good or bad the DAC is?
Look for a teardown of your phone, or tear it down yourself and find out
