I died such a death... Johnathan Franklin posted that on G+.

The best ROM for the HTC One is Viper. You can turn off the Red theme and it is like Android Revolution but much faster, with more options, and insane battery life.
dumb question but can i transfer my at&t contract from my at&t phone to an unlocked phone that i payed for myself and not pay the early termination fee? like can i buy the next gen nexus 4, take it to at&t, and transfer my 2 year contract on my galaxy note 1 to my nexus 4, and not pay any early termination fee from my 2 year contract? i would still be paying for my subsidized galaxy note and i payed full price for the replacement phone, at&t wont loose a dime from this arrangement [editline]28th August 2013[/editline] oh shit can i just take the sim card out of my galaxy note 1 and put it in the nexus 4? is there some custom firmware or something that will allow me to do this?

As long as the radio in the new phone is compatible with the network, you should be fine.
AT&T is GSM so it'll be fine with the Nexus 4
woah hold on for a second. are you guys saying that i can just take the sim card out of my still in contract galaxy note 1, and just put the card in a nexus 4 and the phone will ~just work~??? i don't believe this, i'm certain that att would put some sort of lock on the sim card that prevents people from doing this

Since the Nexus 4 is unlocked, you can indeed just put the SIM in and it'll work. (Why would AT&T care which phone you use your SIM card in? You're still paying them for service either way so why would they care?)
Regarding AT&T on Nexus 4, it works absolutely great for me since I have terrible T-mobile coverage in my area. Speeds are slow but I found this articleto get decent speeds on HSPA+ but I haven't tried it yet.
because Verizon finds pleasure in fucking over their customers
Fixed that for you. AT&T is generally pretty consumer-friendly, by market standards. [editline]28th August 2013[/editline] I understand why some people think they aren't, but at least AT&T will unlock your phone.
Why has no one mentioned Sense 5 with Android 4.3 yet? Is it a hoax or something?
It's real, just very minor changes.

You can just go to AT&T and have them give you one of the correct size for the N4 for free. They're seriously fine with it as long as you pay your bill

I found a template that you print out (Making sure it's scaled correctly) and tape your SIM to, then you use a ruler to trace out the lines to cut along. It worked fine, saved me from waiting in line at a Rogers store for twelve years and having to pay $25.
Share the template please.

The T-Mobile LTE network around here is supposed to get like 40 down and 20 up or something crazy like that, can't quite remember what the guy at the T-Mobile store showed me. My mom's Nexus 4 gets 25-29 down and 9+ up almost everywhere here. It's a town of about 150k people here and we didn't even get cable til the 90's and broadband decently into the 2000's. Comcast just recently started offering 50mbps around here about maybe a year or two ago, the HSPA network already does a solid 30 easy and the LTE networks do more than that for $20 a month. Seems like it's going to be cheaper to drop cell towers everywhere instead of updating or running new infrastructure. They already dropped all the plans for updating the city with fiber in the late 2000's, I think this decade will get really interesting with half the carriers not having their shit in order as well.

Or maybe "just how much american carriers brainwash their customers".

Sprint/Verizon also do not use sim cards, they use their whole CDMA magic stuff.
