I wonder how long until WhatsApp shuts him down. AFAIK there's no public WhatsApp API. Plus, the app looks aren't exactly pleasing. WhatsApp looks MUCH better nowadays.
Way too normal for your average Tapatalk user.
I noticed when I was browsing the S4 section, there were a ton of people talking about how they love their S4, or had S4 related signatures and whatnot, but they were posting from the most random android models, one of which I couldn't even find

On a slightly related note, is anyone else having problems receiving hangouts notifications on their phone?
last I tried, some Hangouts notifications came in delayed 10-20seconds.
Some come in delayed 10-20 hours..
Man I upgraded from 4.1.2 TW to 4.2.2 AOSP on my Note and FUCK TOUCHWIZ. Android can be smooth? Fuck off with your shit Samsung.
Key Lime Pie is dead, long live Kit-Kat!!! https://plus.google.com/104629412415657030658/posts/CxiQidWrPR6 [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] I knew they were gonna do this :P
It's also going to be 4.4, not 5.0 http://www.android.com/kitkat/
WTF. They're officially using the KitKat trademark? That's interesting. But seriously give me more smooth butter. [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] What's even more interesting is that they officially revealed it without a press conference or a new device, and before it's getting released, too. And "an amazing Android experience available for everybody." - how exactly is that going to work? O_O
but key lime pie tastes better than kit kats

I feel like it's a licensing/promo deal. they're doing kind of a sweepstakes style giveaway with specially marked kit kat packages. [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline]
It's also going to be 4.4, not 5.0 http://www.android.com/kitkat/
2.2-2.3, same name, same design language. 3.0, different name, different design language than before. 4.0, different name, different design language than before. the weirdness starts with 4.1-4.3, all jelly bean, all holo. by and large, a whole number indicates a new design language. 5.0 will have to be a new design language, meaning 4.4 will have big changes, but not in design.
TBH I think the current design is just good enough for now. No need for drastic changes that would only make every app in the Store look outdated.
I hope the interface colors on KitKat will be changed. I got tired of standard black-blue very quickly. Yeah, I know about themes or launchers or whatever, but I like it when the device works and looks good from the beginning.

I could see them sticking one of the Holo colors as stand in for #33b5e5. If you download the swatches from the design page, you can see there's quite a range of striking colors to pick from. [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] Maybe white/blue holo will be standard? uses more power, though.
KitKat, biggest product placement ever?
Didn't they say they wanted to optimise the next version for people with 512mb ram devices? If they keep to that I'll be a little more inclined to stick with my current phone a little longer.
And "an amazing Android experience available for everybody." - how exactly is that going to work? O_O
Wow... how is that gonna work? All of the OS features go to Play Services or standalone apps? Like, launcher and all? [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline] actually, that's concievable...

I'LL THEME MY PHONE BACK TO HOLO BLUE.
Put on the case, check dBm, take it off, check again. You will probably see a 10 dBM difference, which is simply enormous.

Will check when I get home. So far the signal is just as great as before but I'll try when I get home and have a screwdriver
[t]http://puu.sh/4iekL.jpeg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/4iele.jpeg[/t] Can upload more pics if neccessary, signal is still amazing.
You know I think Kitkat 4.4 will be a great release after all.
Kitkat sounds adorable for an OS iteration, and I look forward to telling people my phone is powered by KitKat.
This whole KitKat shit has me confused. I dont know what to believe.
Oh god my huawei y300 is gonna love this. Unless the update has to go through huawei, then I'm fucked.
Oh god my huawei y300 is gonna love this. Unless the update has to go through huawei, then I'm fucked.
I don't think that slogan means what we all wish it does. Making the update available for everyone is technologically impossible with the way Android and the devices are currently set up AFAIK. "available to everyone" sadly probably refers to the contest of winning a 1000 Nexus 7's with KitKat bars. And I'm guessing that contest will be US only as usual..
[thumb]http://i.minus.com/i1sPcGfAJGa0e.JPG[/thumb] Ahh, this was over a year ago btw.
DONT EVER BUY A WATERPROOF PHONE if the waterproofing is faulty and your phone gets wet then your warrenty is invalid. fuck you sony you scamming little cunts.
Their advertising just promotes the waterproof-ness of the phone which includes having telling people to get it wet.
