I'll buy one and eat it in your honor.
My 2012 N7 is fucking up audio wise. If I have earphones in, it produces a bunch of static, but only when I do specific actions, like opening a new tab in chrome. YouTube app plays it constantly. It happens with all earphones. It's fairly quiet, buy still annoying. Has Mt tablet got a load of crosstalk in it?

The Tegra 3 DAC, ladies and gentlemen.
This happens to everybody?
[editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
Oh, yeah, the tablet's speakers don't do it.
[editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
Didn't mention that.
[editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
I looked and I guess it's a common issue. Doubt I can replace it, either, as I got it used.

It's normal. You can't really fix it.
Anybody reckon all that optimisation on RAM whoring that was rumoured for 5.0 will be in 4.4?

Wouldn't be surprised.
They'll remove garbage collection and RAM optimization entirely. Every handset will run at 3GHz, regardless of the capabilities of the chipset.

Asia is the next big market to develop. That means lower specs to hit lower price points.
Picked up my new [URL="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3763603/Nexus%204.4.jpg"]Nexus tablet[/URL] today!
Anyone here with a S3 and CM have issues where the volume during calls is really high during calls even with the volume at the lowest. Can't use my headset during calls with this issue, gonna ruin my ears

Mine seems to be the complete opposite of yours, the sound for everything is too quiet, even when using earphones. Also how is your battery life on CM?
Like what seems to be ALL 2013 N7s in Australia, mine has 3 dead black pixels, sigh
[QUOTE=Jeller;42074092]Mine seems to be the complete opposite of yours, the sound for everything is too quiet, even when using earphones. I flashed it a few days ago and with bare usage it lasted 7 hours... Yet on stock battery life is great.

Call Google, they'll most likely replace it.

It was the only thing i missed when flashing because it was so good. I started using CPUtuner and Greenify and my battery life got much longer. Not having the Facebook app also helped

Nah not really, I've probably used that feature twice since I got the phone, which was long driving journeys when I wanted my music on.

What's laughable is Google haven't started selling it in Australia yet, just retail stores. But all the people talking about heaps of stuck bright pixels and people with 15+ dead ones, think I might just say I'm lucky and keep it.

At least you have yours, I was supposed to get mine last friday and now the store has no idea when they are getting it in.

I think 3 dead pixels pass for replacement with most OEMs of any kind of display technology. You should replace it.

I have one dead pixel on my 15" laptop and it pisses me off to no end.
3 on a 7" tablet would probably put me into a mental asylum.
Got a question here: will rooting my Xperia J benefit me much?
Today I learned that most people I know who use Android, don't like the way #HOLOYOLO looks. I can't say I don't disagree with them.

Android is quite an open platform as it is. But if you are interested in flashing custom firmware etc then go for it, just make sure you back up your stock firmware before you install a new one. Its really straight forward.
I've seen XDA themes that look better than HOLO. But I guess i'm just blind.

Just down to personal preferences really. I personally like HOLO but have noticed that Google are starting to pull away from it, it'll be interesting to see what the next major android build will look like.
I wouldn't mind something like MIUI. It's clean and simple, without looking bland. Tempted to flash MIUI on my S3 again now.

Yeah MIUI is really nice looking, only reason I uninstalled it was the mass amount of Chinese on it and the way it handled app icons
Holy shit the back of my phone is really hot after flashing a CM 10.2 nightly
[QUOTE=Oicani Gonzales;42075367]i'd like to remind yall that this is still holo

Timely kinda breaks the style of HOLO though
