Calibration's not it. I tried to go back to the stock meter but I couldn't achieve it with ROM Toolbox. It's all kinds of fucked.
Then I have no idea...
Paid up for my first phone (well, personally bought phone, hand me downs are starting to suck). Nexus 4 16GB. Good idea? Considering I've got an offer for a free iPhone 4s hand me down from my Dad and the phone won't ship until the 10th I can easily cancel it if the phone sucks somehow :v: Though my research has said it's pretty ace apart from the glass back. My first real foray into Android too, I tried the iDroid project back when I had a iPhone 3G but obviously that was awful.

The N4 is on the way out, but there's no known dates or anything for the N5. If you're doing the on-contract thing, you could look at the X, but I have a feeling the N4 will serve you fine, as long as you're ok with a new one coming out in a few months.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/YjfdKhS.png/[/t] Nothing fancy, the only thing i change is my wallpaper every few weeks And no that's not the FP app, but a bookmark to FP with the icon changed to the app's icon. Fortunately it stuck even after i uninstalled the app

So the N5 won't bother me. I mainly came to like the idea of the N4 because I don't want a contract, but needed a new phone as my 3GS is suffering daily, cracked back, dust behind the glass, heat issues, recharging at least twice a day if I use it for any period of time.
doing an eat a hat for something being announced september 6th
I would laugh out loud if they did it september 11th.
[t]http://puu.sh/4jg2m.png[/t] The only reason I have that as a background is to lie to myself and not say I made mini metro icons.
ya'll ain't got shit [Nicholas Rage]
I want it. [editline]time[/editline]
What icons are those?
They're called Flatro.
Is there any way to fix the battery bar on the notification bar? I tried installing a custom icon with numbers with rom toolbox but it got fucked up and shows a different number of battery percentage.
I tried doing a fabric restore but it didn't change this ugly battery icon. Anyone know a way to restore the icon to stock?
Icons and the theme.
It's just Nova with Flatro icons and this wallpaper.

Oh, and this clock. [editline]4th September 2013[/editline] Just so you know, the little blue semicircle in the lower right side is the Slideover feature of Sliding MEssaging.
I change wallpapers like once a month now. Better change it now
Pleather is more premium than hyperglaze I guess? v:v:v Did they do anything weird with the new Note 10.1?
They put a hardware home button on the front and from the glimpse I saw on FB they moved the speakers away from the front, I think. Packed it with 8 cores. I kind of imagined a chinese knockoff of the original would look like the new one. Wow this quote from CNET,
Samsung first unveiled its eight-core processor with the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, but only the lucky few in certain parts of the world get to enjoy the eight-core S4: it comes with a boring old quad-core chip in most of the world.
Next year, phones with 16 cores and no old boring 8 cores.
Are phones even utilizing quad-cores nowadays? Jeez, Sammy. I might have upgraded to the new Note 10.1.
Very tempted to get a Galaxy Note 3

Not very well calibrated either. High reflectance. [editline]4th September 2013[/editline]
Very tempted to get a Galaxy Note 3
I really don't feel anything towards it. The stitching is guaranteed to collect dirt that can't be cleaned, the display is going to be the same old Samsung non-calibration, camera still doesn't have OIS, battery should've been bigger at stock, software remains thoroughly meh, etc... The LG G2 and Honami are more interesting to me. The Honami is too wide/big though, not sure how they did that when it's a 5" display, should've just reduced bezel and increased thickness.
Just out of curiosity, I want to do a little poll to see what people here own more. Which phone are you using currently? Agree for Galaxy S4. Disagree for HTC One. Optimistic for other.
Are phones even utilizing quad-cores nowadays? Jeez, Sammy. I might have upgraded to the new Note 10.1.
Yeah in the same way computers are using their quad cores, it's the whole multitasking thing. The new quad core phones react and respond so fluid and smoothly compared to any of the dual or single core phones. It's about time we're seeing more cores in phones. Running CM10.1 on my old Desire Z is painful simply because when opening/closing anything the CPU basically maxes and everything slows down to a halt.
Just out of curiosity, I want to do a little poll to see what the general public thinks. Which phone are you using and/or think is a better phone? Agree for Galaxy S4. Disagree for HTC One. Optimistic for other.
Just going off of other people's experiences and my experiences with the GS4, it's just not really as good as the One in the places that matter. It sells well but it isn't the technically best device.
Just out of curiosity, I want to do a little poll to see what the general public thinks. Which phone are you using and/or think is a better phone? Agree for Galaxy S4. Disagree for HTC One. Optimistic for other.
Depends on your needs. Would you rather have; better battery life, a better daytime camera with a very high megapixel count, a pentile OLED screen, a swapable SD card and battery, marginally faster internals, and a bunch of neat little gimmicky features that you'll probably never use? If you need this, get the S4. Or would you rather have a phone that is aesthetically very pleasing compared with the S4 on both the hardware and the software level, is better for nighttime and indoor photos, has a traditional LCD screen, and has a very loud set of stereo speaker that has Beats™ by Dr. Dre built in to distort your audio? If you said yes, go get the HTC One. Basically there's no objectively worse phone. Just get the one that suits your needs best. For me, the S4 fit my needs because I needed the high battery life for tethering and the high megapixel camera because I'm constantly using it to take pictures of books and documents. Please remember that Samsung is a sponsor for the IOC. If you happen to be boycotting them, just get the HTC One. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] It's a shame that I'm not allowed to edit this and only this post.
Just going off of other people's experiences and my experiences with the GS4, it's just not really as good as the One in the places that matter. It sells well but it isn't the technically best device.
So better battery life, better screen, expandable memory, replaceable battery, and better daytime camera don't matter? Personally I think they're exactly as good as one another. Despite the things I just said were better about the S4, I will admit the One is built better and is more aesthetically pleasing. HTC Sense is also a far nicer experience than Touchpiss. Only reason I picked the S4 was because of a richer ROM/Kernel selection. More people buying it = more devs behind it. That said, I'm running KANGABEAN on my S4 with the KT kernel. Pure Jelly Bean. It fucking rocks and anybody out there with an S4 needs to give it a shot.
