Back when I got my SIM card cut down, the owner of the mobile phone store decided to do it me for free, because "I'm amazed that you've managed to get yourself a Nexus 4". This was back when it was almost impossible to get one.
Tempted to flash Paranoid Android on my S3 again. But i've left it so long since the last update, that if I go and flash it today, an update will probably come out in the next 2 or 3 days.
Everywhere charges $10-$15 to do that here, it's a load of shit.
And I thought our carriers are being assholes when they charge 30USD for 120 minutes, 100 texts and 300MB data monthly. (Luckily I got that plan for half the price since I do research before I jump into something.) But charging that for a fucking microSIM is just sad.
so is there a reason my phone apparently charged itself while in my pocket or is my phone just magic [img_thumb]http://i.minus.com/i7UyRWkBAxU8r.png[/img_thumb]

Anyone gonna get NOTE III? Seeing at it releases this month?
no because we're all poor unlike you
No because samshit touchpoop.
I'm not too fond of the look of TouchWiz but it offers a ton of awesome features compared to stock Android. Multi-window especially is very awesome [editline]7th September 2013[/editline] (it's arguably less useful if you don't root... if you root you can set the multiwindow thing to be allowed on any app, not just those who explicitly support it)
is the premium version of helium worth $5? is there a free alternative that also uploads my backups to dropbox/google drive? [editline]7th September 2013[/editline] https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup.license
Heyoooo I want this like mad. Not sure about that Dpad though.
That is pretty cool
I cut mine with a ruler and a stanley knife, works fine.
I got it sorted today, my brother bought a cutter it turns out so I used that. Not the best cutter in the world it turns out, but it's working. So nice having a responsive phone that doesn't crash browsing the Internet. Just need to play around with things and get them how I like them and I'll be happy. Also going to look for a case because I don't trust myself to not scratch it up at some point.
Oh my god, buttons not ABXY. Not getting my money
lol cutting SIM cards I just walked into my carrier store, said I need a microSIM and they gave me one of those where you can snap the microSIM out of a regular SIM, no charge, no questions. done in under 5 minutes. And when I switched carriers a few months back, I got multi-size SIM card by default.
Didn't want to lose my current tarrif or deal with transferring shit through O2 to a new SIM, cutting it worked out okay.
no because we're all poor unlike you
Oh ok.
no because we're all poor unlike you
Please, don't start this.
Is there a single mobile controller that has a proper goddamn d-pad?
Is there a single mobile controller that has a proper goddamn d-pad?
You can technically use a PS3 controller, which has a nice D-Pad. The Gametel has a pretty good D-Pad, even if it's faux-joystick style.
So I traded phones and now have an HTC One. ROM question: Viper or Trickdroid? I'm currently on AndroidRevolution but it's a bit too vanilla for me.
Viper all the way
Oh my god, buttons not ABXY. Not getting my money
i wouldn't mind that so much if the buttons weren't fucking "PLAY". seriously manufacturers, stop trying to be cutesy shit
So, I looked at and played around with the LG G2 today. fucking christ that phone is beautiful
So, I looked at and played around with the LG G2 today. fucking christ that phone is beautiful
Wow, where'd you see it at?
So I'm in the market for a tablet with a max budget of $300. I have never purchased one before and I'm looking for some advice/opinions/options for tablets. After having done a bit of reading on the current tablets I'm torn between the nexus 7 and the Galaxy Tab 3.8, but leaning towards the tab. The lack of an SD card slot in the nexus is a major drawback imo, and the bigger screen size of the tab is really appealing. What do y'all think?
Wow, where'd you see it at?
One of the guys at t-mobile got his hands on the phone, and he let me have a look at it. It's seriously a beautiful device.

Though the Nexus 7 currently has more impressive hardware, specifically in the screen department.
So, there are 111 files missing from the latest nightly of CyanogenMod. If you copy them all over from 20130905 into the 20130907 zip, it seems to work but cell radio doesn't work... baseband unknown maybe I should build it myself... or just wait
I am a fan of Samsung hardware, but I would flash CM or something onto the tablet immediately. Though the Nexus 7 currently has more impressive hardware, specifically in the screen department.
Yeah, I have a GS3, and I do have to say Samsung's stuff is usually pretty well made. I'm not super worried about the screen resolution difference. But really, I'd be much more inclined to get the nexus 7 if it had SD card support. What's the point of having all that screen hardware if you can't store a decent library of media on the device?
