There are like 3 app entries with possibly the same cheap app and the same screenshots. Could this be more fishy?
So I tried adding my university email account to my phone today after putting it off long enough, and it basically wants full control of my phone. What the fuck, I get the uni are a bit paranoid after a massive documents leak a few years ago, but shit, why do you need to know everything about my lock? Weird having an email app request that. Also, anyone got any recommendations for a Nexus 4 case? Just something to stop me scratching shit up when it's pocketed and to stop me wrecking it if I drop it (though if I managed to not drop my 3GS, I should be fine :v:)

Your uni probably never bothered to alter the defaults. Just add your uni email account to gmail to get around it.

Forwarding all my shit to GMail seems like a fair enough suggestion, I don't use the other exchange features anyway.

I was so glad when my school dropped that bullshit of controlling my phone locks and shit. Rediculous.
Well finished most of my icons (at least the ones I put on my homescreens): [t]http://puu.sh/4n5FA.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/4n5QN.png[/t] Now I just need to find the easiest way to put these in an apk with as little coding as possible. Any ideas?
Could anyone give me a hand transferring apps and data between 2 phones? I had a galaxy s2 and I want to transfer the Authenticator and its relevant data to my new phone, a Nexus 4. I tried Titanium Backup, but it just loops for ages doing nothing when I restore. I tried simply copying the data into the app, but it just crashes on launch. Help, I want my authentications :(
If you've got college, school or university, I really do recommend this app to keep your time table on. I've only been using a week, but it's definitely made life easier. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gabrielittner.timetable [editline]9th September 2013[/editline] It's also got a brilliant tablet UI, if you bring your tablet around with you, you'll love it, probably.
Well the only thing XDA is that clock widget and messaging app. Everything else is me. I don't understand this irrational hate for XDA you guys have sometimes. They're not all 1337hax0r420noscope, you know. Most of them are honest enthusiast devs.
I'm sorry, maybe you should have a look at the skins that the people of XDA make. Most of them are fucking horrible MSpaint skins, and it comes in 15 different fucking colours. But what pisses me off is the fact that the threads are several pages long with people complimenting them, and if someone criticize the OP, that person gets flamed. Its always 'maybe you should do that instead of complaining'. Can you imagine this, but with 100+ different themes with similar looking themes, in shitload of glaring colours and then people say 'keep up the good work!' Who fucking gets skins from XDA to begin with? Most people on XDA are there to get ROMs and kernels. Whenever bullshit skins like this come up, people compliment them to avoid looking like assholes. Doesn't mean they love it and use it on a daily basis, unless they too have horrible design taste. Point is: it's dumb to hate an entire site because there's some shitty skins on it. Like it or not, they're the reason Android rooting/ROMs ever got popular.
10/10 theme, the dialer is simply exquisite.
Don't know what ROMs you people are looking at. Jesus fucking Christ. None of the popular ROMs for the One have bullshit like this. Most are even unthemed Sense. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.rakuun.MyClassSchedule.free&hl=en That's the one I'm using and it's pretty good. Would you recommend yours over this one or are they both the same idea?
Looks like I'm switching to the Sony Xperia Z1, one of them may actually use the frequencies AT&T US/CA uses so I don't have to get a AT&T locked version, locked bootloader, again or it just outright doesn't come to the US again.

I came in, explained I was willing to become a self builder (and incidentally, was intending on doing so for shits and giggles anyway), wanted to know how to reverse this change for myself. Immediately, this prick comes in and starts calling me names and insulting me and is all "well why dont u fix every1s problems with the rom before you come in and say they exist huh". I didn't get any answers until I ripped this kid a new one for his behavior. When I have to flame a user to get something fucking done, it doesn't say much for the way things run there. I'm surprised I wasn't banned for it.
I don't ever flash ROMs with custom UI modifications, unless it's an all-black theme (which are really popular on the Note 2 it seems) in the settings app, toasts and popups

Looks like you have to manually enter your classes for this app, nty.
Here I go flashing a new ROM because my current one can't even play music with the screen off.
If you use PowerAMP, you can enable the option to raise the audio thread priority. Might fix it.

Gah. That timetable app is perfect in every way except you can't add a course that only occurs every 2 weeks (for labs).

On my phone there are thousands of pages. It's fucking mental. You can't post in the thread, you'll be flooded with posts from other idiots. Even if you do manage to get a reply it'll be someone saying that your question has been asked before and that you should read the thread. It's not like this everywhere, though. The CM thread for the note 10.1 is pretty cool.
If you use PowerAMP, you can enable the option to raise the audio thread priority. Might fix it.
Mah, All Access. With stored music, nonetheless. Works fine if the phone shuts off on its own accord, leading me to believe that if the screen times out it never enters power saving mode.
My cousin is going to Australia in october and staying til early next year, if he buys a Nexus 7 (2013 version) WiFi model there, it will still work in Sweden right? Possibly the dumbest question ever but I don't know if countries outside europe uses different WiFi signals (like 4G and 3G signals are different in US and Sweden as an example)
obviously it will
Going back to school and as such I need something for work. I'm thinking of going with this: £130 refurbished 16GB Nexus 7 £23 bluetooth keyboard dock For a £150 budget is this good? The keyboard dock I've linked has rather low reviews on the UK site but yet on the US site it has more than 100 4 star reviews. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00948FSH4/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00948FSH4&linkCode=as2&tag=neadea-20 Is there an alternative keyboard dock that some of you could recommend?
If you just want to take notes on it then get a surface rt They're like $300 and include the keyboard now
turns out your phone doesn't work too well without gapps flashed like, keyboard won't even work not well. and can't get into the play store to install a new keyboard because there's no gapps!

So yeah tell him to not worry about it.
