Really? where exactly is that folder? I only had it to see how it worked
com.snapchat.android something like "received snaps". Need root to see it. Or you can extract the entire content of your phone to your computer (but don't. Its cumbersome). [editline]9th May 2013[/editline] You can see the tree in the video on the link.
Hrm only got cache and mind is rooted but is the folder only created once I actually download images from someone else? I think that why because I havent actually USED it but i have the app.
Yeah, that's probably it.
Pardon my ignorance but I'm using some root explorer app and it can't find ".com.snapchat.android"
Its probably under android on internal SD card. Android>Data>com.snapchat.blahblah>cache>recieved images snaps After that, you'll have to edit the files to remove the nomedia extensions (probably in the computer).

I'm impressed.

does using a bluetooth headset result in a significant battery life hit? cant decide if i should order a sony sbh20 headset before the weekend so i have it for when i receive my new phone
I really like the HTC One, but I really don't think I'm cool enough for the beats logo plus it's got a rounded back. (hope the host doesn't find out im hotlinking!) Why am I really picky with my phones? It's not like they're costing me an arm or a leg or anything!
The point of the rounded back is for better in-hand ergonomics. Unless your hands are actually clamps. [editline]9th May 2013[/editline]
I was looking at this review between the Xperia Z and the HTC One. http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_vs_xperia_z-review-917.php It seems like they're pretty much on par in terms of specifications (that matter to me), but the S4 excels both of them (by a small margin). The HTC One seems like it'd be the best for me, but I like the water-proofing of the Z, but I don't want the "eh" battery life of the Z while I want the SD Card slot. Why must shopping for phones be so difficult?
The S4 and One are basically much closer. Stop reading GSMArena because they fucking blow at all testing ever. Anandtech is basically the ONLY real website for technical smartphone testing. Basically, don't bother with the Z unless you absolutely need waterproofing like someone's girlfriend that has killed 4 or so phones from water damage. The S4 is only a good option if you absolutely want AMOLED saturation and contrast, you want removable battery, microSD, you want Touchwiz, and you do most of your photos in good lighting on the phone. For everything else, the One is basically the better choice. Better screen calibration and viewing angles, better outdoor visibility, better battery life, better indoor/low light camera, better radio reception, better speakers, better FFC. I could literally write five thousand words comparing the two but I'm so burnt out from /r/android's sheer retardation that I really can no longer handle just how shit these people are at technical understanding. Otherwise it will have a pretty big idle battery life hit.
The point of the rounded back is for better in-hand ergonomics. Unless your hands are actually clamps.
I don't understand, you don't palm your phone so why would a rounded back matter, what you want is rounded/comfortable sides because that's what is sticking into your hand. My sister got an iPhone 5 last week and when holding it, the corners are sharp and it's not comfortable at all.
Since having my note 2 for about 3 months now... I look at people Iphone and other phones and realized I can never go back to a screen smaller than 5.5in. I wonder if they will keep making them around that size
Oh, and if microSD/removable battery bother you that much, then my question is whether you actually swap batteries or use microSD slots. Unless you regularly find yourself using more than ~50 gigs of storage, don't bother with microSD because it's a piss poor storage standard. Unless you actually swap out batteries daily, nonremovable batteries are not going to affect your life. Flat backs mean you have to keep your fingers straight to keep the phone flat, which takes more effort/induces more strain.
I'm looking for a cheap tablet for pdf ebook reading and some dev work. Large screen resolution is pretty much my main priority. Is the Nexus 7 still my best bet? I haven't been paying attention to the tech news sites for a while.

I think it's due to be updated at I/O or whenever, so it might not be the best time to buy one unless you really need/want one right now.
Since having my note 2 for about 3 months now... I look at people Iphone and other phones and realized I can never go back to a screen smaller than 5.5in. I wonder if they will keep making them around that size
If the rumor mill is any sign, the Note 3 will have a bigger display. I for one am never going to go over 5 inches. I am done with this game of "just the tip" for screen size. 4.3" is the ideal size for easy one-handed use, 4.7" is bigger but harder to work with, and 5" is the extreme limit.
Oh, and if microSD/removable battery bother you that much, then my question is whether you actually swap batteries or use microSD slots. With microSD, I regularly pop it out and put it in my card reader to load a new season of TV. microSD is a good enough standard for media.
Unless you actually swap out batteries daily, nonremovable batteries are not going to affect your life.
I don't swap batteries, but I like to install extended batteries. I know there are battery cases that clip on and plug into the microUSB port, but those seem more awkward (one battery charging the other is weird when you could just have one bigger battery). I agree that I wouldn't need removable batteries if they actually started putting bigger ones in to begin with. It's a shame that the RAZR MAXX is the only phone with a decent battery capacity.

yep it works [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/cVYrDBB.png[/thumb] /data/data/com.snapchat.android/cache/received_image_snaps in droid explorer for pictures /data/media/0/Android/data/com.snapchat.android/cache/tcs_pahn for videos
Is that one that you've viewed already? Or is it one that's waiting to be opened?
