Nexus 7 2012 3G is your best bet at that price point
I'm looking to buy a cheap ARM device to run XBMC on and I was wondering if any one has used these products before, and which is the best bang for the buck?
I have the first gen Pi running OpenELEC. It's having a rough time handling it, sadly.
I was hoping to find something that I could use for running YouTube, Netflix, etc. I was looking into either an ODROID-XU or an Android based [embedded?] system.
Try Raspbmc? Been running it for a year now.

Some of the rumors claim that 4.4 will allow users to change a default system color

This is one of the things that makes me want to install PA on my devices. Nexus 4 and 7 both have regular LCDs so I don't have to worry about making everything black and blue for max battery life.

That sounds too good for Google. Shit, you can't even swap between Holo, Holo Light or Holo Dark on any of their apps. I'm forever looking at this wankstain of an app on an OLED screen.
I have #failed the #holoyolo #gods
You did that already by having an iPad.
You can somewhat remedy it by putting Matias Duarte on it as a wallpaper.
I used to like the dark theme on everything, now I like the light theme on everything.

Ever since I moved from AMOLED to IPS (Galaxy S2 to Nexus 4), I fucking love white themes.
I'm still on my potato LCD, I used to love dark themes so much. Black themes were eye destroying because of the contrast.
Is it normal for an OLED screen to have dark spots on a black screen? It's weird, like the back light for the screen doesn't light up certain parts, but only when it's supposed to be black.
Well, that's annoying. At least something isn't broken.

Perhaps the Asus Memo 7? It's gotten really good reviews in its price range.
I asked ciwrl in #cyanogenmod-dev if it would remain free for personal use and he said yes
didn't see it clearly mentioned in that blog post so i thought i'd mention it now
Yeah, they're not gonna go back on their core audience by making it paid. That wouldn't even work anyway; they're keeping the core open-source. So far, they haven't stated definitely what their business model is, but probably a combination of OEM licensing, maybe making new closed-source apps (still probably free for personal use but again, licensed to OEMs), maybe even an enterprise security system. But they've said that their venture capitals aren't even pressuring them to monetize at this point; one of them also funded Red Hat. Their priority right now is to work full-time on making it the best ROM possible, and their VCs support that.
EDIT: it seems more popular these days for VCs to operate that way; AirDroid is also funded by VC and they haven't been pressured to monetize yet. Also, Reddit was picked up by Advance Publications and still isn't really monetized (ads and Reddit Gold just keep them afloat).
What was the app which allows other music players access your music on Play Music?
What was the app which allows other music players access your music on Play Music?
I don't think it works still. I've been just getting the .mpgs from the GMusic folder in /data/ and dropping it into my SD Card.
I seem to have no files in there, any idea why?
Can someone suggest me a good ROM for the Galaxy S2?
I've been using a pretty old ROM for the past few years, so I'm planning on wiping the phone and installing a good new one for it.
I'm looking for one that's good for overclocking and such.
Fucking hell.
My phone couldn't call anyone at all, even after I rebooted I couldn't call. It finally works when someone calls me.
What the flying fuck.

CyanogenMod is the best mod available. Most features, most stability. Get cm-10.1.3-RC2. For overclocking, you'll need a custom kernel. Try one of the ones here; I've heard SiyahKernel is good.
EDIT: not sure which variation of the phone you have and whether those kernels work with it. I don't mess with kernels, because I don't overclock
looks like the Htc one max wont be getting a snapdragon 800
The T6TL won't. Not sure what that variant is, T6_WL is usually the dual sim version.. T6_UL is international GSM/LTE.
