Oh, I also got $50 of Google Play credit with it too Just checked each of those, doesn't appear to be any problems. I've noticed the touch screen isn't as responsive as my old SGS3, but when touches go through it's a lot smoother. Is that normal? Aussie mobile plan, $80 is a pretty standard price (particularly with Telstra) down here. Are HTC really going that bad?
The news is not good. The One is definitely the best phone they have released, and is one of the highest rated phones this year, and it is still not enough to keep the bad news from coming.
$12/mth with Vaya cunt
Ah, cunt, the warmest term of endearment between fellow Strayans.
$12/mth with Vaya cunt
I had never heard of them before now, but it looks like they're through Optus, dickheads can't get a decent signal down where I am
Pocket Trains has killed me, I am dead now because of Pocket Trains nvm got to get some milk to casablanca
Aussie mobile plan, $80 is a pretty standard price (particularly with Telstra) down here. Are HTC really going that bad?
To some extent, they've been completely run out of their former glory by Samsung's carpetbombing of the media and getting burned by bad platform (Snapdragon S3 was trash, so was Tegra 3), and their severe lack of focus and brand-building. It seems like they're definitely in the middle of a turnaround though, HTC is still capturing marketshare that I've never seen Nokia or Blackberry even come close to touching. I think a lot of it has to do with how HTC is currently in an awkward spot where they aren't so dead that it's ready for eulogizing like BB and Nokia, but they aren't in a good spot with incredible growth like Xiaomi or Oppo.
I had never heard of them before now, but it looks like they're through Optus, dickheads can't get a decent signal down where I am
Yeah Optus and Vodafone are pretty spotty. Travelling to the city on the train, coverage fluctuates between HSDPA and fucking nothing. A couple suburbs I've been to are blackholes for mobile reception however Optus is generally good where I live. Telstra works on the darkside of the moon though.
Apparently I missed the memo and my phone has CM10.2 now. shiiiiieeeet
Recently my note2 suddently restarted ~3-4 times a day, So I jumped the ship and Updated to CM 10.2 from my Stock Samsung 4.1 ROM. And holy shit the improvements. Like seriously man.
Speaking of 10.2, why haven't there been any nightlies for two days? I'm going through nightly withdrawals here.
Best tool ever. Never needed a torx screwdriver. I don't know what I did to open this Evo 3D before. When I stripped the shit out of the torx it was game over anyway - I just used some nippers to twist it out. What do I need to do for this to be safe? Anything? Cache wipe? [thumb]http://i3.minus.com/jbyPVTUiqSBaG.png[/thumb]
$60 on T-Mobile for unlimited talk, text, web, with 2.5GB up to 4G speeds. I never come close to that cap and the plan is no-contract so it includes tethering and mobile hotspot for free.
What do I need to do for this to be safe? Anything? Cache wipe? [thumb]http://i3.minus.com/jbyPVTUiqSBaG.png[/thumb]
Nothing, CM updater does all that is needed for you.
What do I need to do for this to be safe? Anything? Cache wipe? [thumb]http://i3.minus.com/jbyPVTUiqSBaG.png[/thumb]
if you're already running cyanogenmod then all you need to do is let it install itself. assuming you've already got cwm recovery, it should automatically reboot into recovery mode, install 10.1.3, then reboot again. unless I did something wrong with my own phone, I didn't have to do anything to go from CM10.1.1 to 10.1.3
What do I need to do for this to be safe? Anything? Cache wipe? [thumb]http://i3.minus.com/jbyPVTUiqSBaG.png[/thumb]
I generally don't cache wipe unless it's a major update, or it's been a while. "Dirty" flashing it doesn't cause problems all that often, but if it does, you know how to fix it
Well, I'm on safestrap, but it should still work, huh? [editline]30th September 2013[/editline] Thanks, by the way. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline] Worked great, thanks! Also, what the hell with this CM account I just made? What's it for?
Hm, some cookie clicker game apps are on Google Play, all not official.
What is the current best custom ROM for HTC One? "Best" as in most stable, fluid and bugless.

My GS4 is acting strangely. Sometimes when I boot up it gets stuck on the Verizon splash screen, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to be entirely intermittent and I can't seem to figure out why. (I haven't tested long enough but it seems that it only boots up when the SD card is removed, but even with it removed it won't boot up half the time.) I had rooted it, then accidentally did a system update which removed root. I then used this at an attempt at fixing the problem, but it didn't seem to work. I did restore root, however. I really wish to avoid flashing a totally clean ROM but I will if it comes to that.
If there's a root exploit for the latest firmware, you might want to do a factory reset, run any updates there may be, and reroot. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline] Basically, I'm saying clean the system up. I've had to do this... A lot.
Worked great, thanks! Also, what the hell with this CM account I just made? What's it for?
Currently, all you can do is locate the device and remote wipe it. It's like the Android Device Manager for people who don't want to install gapps for some reason. I'm pretty sure they're going to expand it to do more, like device sync and so forth.
Ah, cool. Thanks. [editline]30th September 2013[/editline] Looks like we'll be getting a butterfly 2 before the OneX2 Android Headlines: HTC Butterfly 2 Front Panels Leak Out; Hints At More Color Options. http://google.com/producer/s/CBIw57KrzAI
With this cookie clicker game, I will be running it overnight. a.k.a. my phone is not just charging at night, it would be doing something useful-ish.
GPE
This vs CM?
http://phandroid.com/2013/09/30/kitkat-android-contest/ The gist of the story is: KitKat x Android promotion is broken, everyone in the US gets a $5 code, and they only get one prize total, ergo the $5 prize is all you get. Wow!
yay, new hangouts update fixes problems with messages being stuck on sending or retrying

Wow!
i fail to see how its broken you don't deserve 500 dollars of free google play credit also its not broken if its in the contest rules
i fail to see how its broken you don't deserve 500 dollars of free google play credit also its not broken if its in the contest rules
it's broken because people in the UK can enter one code a day and in the US you only get to enter one, period.
i fail to see how its broken you don't deserve 500 dollars of free google play credit also its not broken if its in the contest rules
According to the rules you get to enter a code once a day, but all codes in the US win $5 so no one can enter more than once (win nothing, enter next day possibly win nexus7).
