Fixed my data speeds on AT&T HSPA+. Now instead of getting less than 1mbps I'm getting 6mbps! I realize it's not much but T-Mobile is very spotty in my state so I AT&T is the only reliable option here.

Don't trust anything that isn't official. Ones for the Nokia windows phones will work. These cheapo chinese ones will hardly charge your phone and probably just stop working in a month.
Source: A bunch of people on SA bought a few cheap Qi chargers that failed in no time
Is $28.00 + $5.00 shipping a good price for the Nokia charger?

Verizon has it for $50 so that's basically MSRP for it. $33 is good, I guess.
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/10/galaxy-note-3s-benchmarking-adjustments-inflate-scores-by-up-to-20/#image-1
That's pretty funny, though not everyone cares about benchmarks.
This is stupid, because ars is trying to tread ground that's already been tread before.
Literally, back in the GS4 Anandtech specifically called out that the GS4 already did this, as do nearly ALL major OEMs. That's part of the reason why custom kernels can drop benchmark scores so drastically, because the CPU governor doesn't ramp up fast enough for battery life reasons.
It's not nearly as bad as the GPU overclocking business. This would actually be reasonable to expose to the user, although thermal throttling is more likely to happen.

Also, word on the street is that the international versions are getting the 4.3 update later because they're trying to sync up US/international update schedules.
The big difference is that the international versions will get Sense 5.5 with Android 4.3, the US versions get Sense 5.0 with Android 4.3.

Either way, flash a custom Rom if you want the latest version.

Or live in Taiwan, because they push every update to unlocked 709 region devices.

Ah right, but that's just because your device is relatively new.
Could someone upload the latest Google Keyboard APK?
I'm still running 1.0.1870.703320 from who knows when it was posted here.
Can't get it from Google Play because Google, Finland, Galaxy S2.

Working beautifully so far. Spotty signal in my area, made up for the fact that I can call and text through Google Voice :O
ZeroLemon looks like a really good deal, do you know how it fares with heat? If I can find a case for it, or figure out how to mod a case for it, it will pretty much definitely be on my shopping list.
If you buy it on Amazon, it actually comes with a case. Not sure about heat tolerance.
EDIT: here's the Amazon link, this is for the black case but you can search around and get a white or blue one instead

Huawei is having a big boom here atm. I wonder how much this cheap phone craze will last. They're pretty good tho.
To all you non-americans out there:
If you have Roboto font installed on your desktop but Play Store web is fucking up your local letters (you can obviously see the letter is in a different font and bold, like this), delete all Roboto fonts from C:\Windows\Fonts and install all Roboto fonts from here:
http://www.google.com/fonts#ChoosePlace:select/Collection:Roboto|Roboto+Condensed|Roboto+Slab
(Add all 3 to Collection, then click the download button -fat down arrow- at the top right of the page)
This is the latest Roboto font version which doesn't fuck up anymore.
can anyone think of a reason that CM10.1 doesn't clear apps from the RAM unless you clear them through task manager? i ended up having like 14 apps open the other night (two of them were 3d intensive games) and winamp was stuttering playing music. then i closed the apps and it was fine

There's no reason to when there's no request for more RAM by an active app.

Does anyone get the Mediaserver process in their battery stats? It loves to eat up battery whenever I listen to music.

Mine only uses like 6-7% even if I listen to music all day.

Thanks! It was messing up regular ASCII characters for me; now it's better. The only problem is that hinting is still messed up for capital P in 10-point (13px) and 11-point (14px). (Yeah I use a low DPI monitor still, wanna fight about it?)

I do. I think it's because mediaserver is used to play the music.
My WiFi signal keeps cutting out, I hope my 2012 N7 isn't at fault. I need it and I can't fix it.

are you at long range?
are you at long range?
No, I'm right next to the router. The connection is also slow as shit.
Mine only uses like 6-7% even if I listen to music all day.
If I don't carefully watch my battery it can eat up like 20%, being used all day long.
No, I'm right next to the router. The connection is also slow as shit.
Happens on all networks, too.
