Now I have $10 of Play Store credit from $3 of Kitkats, no idea what to buy.......
bux for pocket trains obviously.
what is the trending keyboard these days?
Give TouchPal X a go. It is actually pretty damn good. Runs significantly faster than SwiftKey on my old phone whilst retaining basically all the functionality. It's also free.
I can't use anything but Google Keyboard. I tried fleksy and missed the gesture typing. Swiftkey's auto correct was too aggressive (and I don't feel like dumping $3 on a keyboard anyway)
Is using MarketEnabler to download Plants vs Zombies 2 (Australia) version bad?
I got bored of all my other games on my phone and need something.

9 android games for $5
Google Play giftcards finally launched in Canada:

It was rumoured that we'd be getting Google Play Music sometime in September so hopefully this is google setting the stage for a launch by the end of the year.
A shame they can't be used on magazines though, that's so weird
I honestly just wouldn't get either at this point. Samsung doesn't actually add any value to their products, they're just the best at integrating whatever Qualcomm/Samsung LSI/Sony has to sell them.
If you're looking at the S4, look at the G2 or Xperia Z1. If you're looking at the Note 3, wait for the One Max or look at the Xperia Z Ultra.
Speaking of the Xperia Z Ultra, Sony is once again dipping into making a ton of accessories for their devices. This time, a case that also holds an extra 3,000 mah battery and a stylus.

Oh and rumors suggest a Walkman branded media device coming out next year.
Oh and rumors suggest a Walkman branded media device coming out next year.
Goodness, last walkman based I saw was my old SE phone back in 2004.
So I've been looking around for a decent android phone for about £100. I came up with LG E460 Optimus L5II and I want to know if you guys have a better idea for one.
I just want one that's able to text, make calls, and browse the internet and twitter without completely crapping itself. Any better ideas?
Wanted to test the camera on my new phone and took this picture:
[IMG_thumb]http://jesusfuck.me/di/PDR5/CAM00171.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
It's staring into my soul. Also, there are hairs everywhere oh god what the fuck
Can you guys recommend any good camera apps?
I'm thinking of rooting and flashing CM or PA or something but I really don't like Focal or the stock camera app.
fleksy works pretty swell on my phone but when I insert it in its dock (tablet) it gets really hard to use. feel that fleksy fits much better on a phone than a 10'1 display

Camera JB+ is basically the CM camera by the way.
I just picked up a HTC Droid DNA yesterday, anyone else out here have one? Im looking into CM for it, just iike my Fascinate, Thunderbolt, and Galaxy Nexus were. Looking for some input.

Japanese version NW-ZX1 comes with 128gb storage, International's biggest model is 64gb. Devices seem a little thick, especially the Japanese version with a huge bulge on the bottom of the device.

It makes NO SENSE but I really want the 128gb one.
I can then be a douche and use lossless files and connect my awesome headphones to it.
Now that we have our #holoyolo overlords, it doesn't make sense to me how people thought, gradients looked nice for the past 10 years.

iOS. And windows. At least Google never went full retard and implemented a bunch of skeuomorphism in android.
Honeycomb was pretty bad, though.

Speaking of going full retard, chrome beta on my tablet just went nuts.

The difference is that flat design sucked before because color theory and nice spacing and nice fonts were nowhere near as easy/possible/widely understood 10/15 years ago.
Gradients / web 2.0 stuff was the middle step between both, I think
I hereby declare my distrust in titanium backup.
I backed up my apps to the default folder, I flashed a new ROM (wiped everything of course).
Basically Titanium backup says there are no backups. Bullshit. I go to the settings to change the backup location. It opens the default folder saying "THIS IS THE BACKUP LOCATION". All my backups are in that folder. I can see them right there in the selected folder, but when I go to the "restore" menu, it says there are no backups.
Shit app.
[editline]4th October 2013[/editline]
It's not like the "data" restore worked reliably anyway.
I would recommend helium but it always "fails" when restoring from any source, even if it actually works in the case of message storage.
This problem has persisted across several ROMs and versions of Android.
I was just contemplating whether I should root and flash or not because warranty and my dad just said that if the phone is fucked, but basically still usable, I can just unroot and install stock again and if it is fucked beyond use, they wont go through the trouble of finding out if I rooted, so it basically doesn't matter much.
How did I not think about this before....
Brb, getting root.
I like how Samsung is trying to kill itself as the #1 Android phone seller with SIM card restrictions. First the Note 3, now there's reports that they might introduce it for Galaxy S3 and Note 2 with a future update.
Oh my god I am an idiot, I've been trying to get ADB to recognize my phone for a good hour now, with me installing and uninstalling all kinds of drivers over and over until I just now realized I forgot to enable USB debugging on my phone.....
:suicide:

to be honest the SIM card lock isn't affecting me in any way at all so I dunno why I should care about it
same thing happened to me not too long ago. Didn't realize I had to allow my PC in development settings.
The authorization popup didn't turn the phone screen on, which it should IMO (or I'm just trying to make myself look less retarded).

Try travelling and using a different SIM in that country.
Samsung claims that it will work if you had the "home country" SIM in the phone before, but there's more and more user reports saying that it doesn't.
Samsung doesn't care because the lost sales are more than paid for by the carriers shoving them money.
Not that it isn't stupid, it's just profitable for Sammy.
MyColourScreen release a app called themer, check it out:
