I can't tell if this was an oversight or on purpose. Either way, it looks terrible.

Also, unlike the other two, the background gradient doesn't suggest depth at all.
I think I've got it now, how's this?

also, some of the shadows got cut off at strange places
it's getting better
it's getting there
the camera icon is particularly awesome though
Maybe move it left and down a bit? It should look like it's shooting directly out of the side of the center circle.

is there a way to replace induvidual icons with one particular icon from an icon pack? my camera app doesn't use the stock android icon so it wasn't replaced by the icon pack icon, which i obviously want changed

On Nova and Apex, you can long press an icon, press "edit" on the dialog that comes up, press the icon, then pick the pack and the icon you want to replace it with.

The PDF is also huge
Just thought I'd drop this off in here, if anyone wants an alpha access code for Aviate, here you go: D7FA6 . For some reason I got one a moment ago, along with the one I got about 2 weeks back. Really enjoying it. Better than Themer, although that's more due to the lack of actual themes, which I'm sure is an issue that will fix itself once more people get involved.
thanks for the Aviate code, it's pretty cool

i don't like it more than i liked trebuchet though
Nvm, have to put the APK in some folder and don't feel like doing that.
I will have ~£250 to spend on a phone very soon, and I want to go with Android. Should I go with a Nexus 4 or is there something better that I should go with? I'd like a decent screen size but not something stupidly big like the note, with Jellybean and fast enough so it doesn't feel sluggish.
Wait for the nexus 5
Can't wait. Speakers fucked in my HTC Desire HD (icing on the cake for my experience with this phone, really) and need one asap.
Wouldn't the Nexus 5 be more expensive anyway?

Potentially. If it is, just get a used nexus 4, as their price will be dropping like a rock once the nexus 5 is announced/released
They also upped the temperature needed until the GPU clocks down and overclocked it.
That's the GS4 Exynos variant only.

I have a strong feeling that a lot of OEMs mess with thermal throttling when benchmarks are detected.

Agreed. Used N4.
I just noticed it's with hope going to be announced this month so I might try to wait it out. Having to depend on texts is shit though. On the plus side if I wait i'll have a phone that'll last for a few years.
Thanks for the advice guys :)

OH, shit, dude, get some cheap earbuds with a mic until you can get a phone.

I hate when people ask for advice on their "Samsung" and you're like "What phone is it and what Android version" and they're like "It's a Galaxy Y on 2.3.6" and you're like "There's your problem!"
Seriously. You got a phone with .17 GB of storage and Touchwiz on top of Gingerbread. Of course you're out of storage.
I feel bad just telling them to do a factory reset or flash a custom rom, but it's really their only option...

Better off buying an old high end phone than a new shit phone.
