I'll wait for reviews, though, to see if it's really worth it over the $15 MoKo case.
Hah I didn't see that price. $50 for a case!? (this coming from the guy who paid MSRP for an iPad smart cover... whoops)
Hah I didn't see that price. $50 for a case!? (this coming from the guy who paid MSRP for an iPad smart cover... whoops)
Exactly. It looks nice but for $50 it better suck my dick.
Exactly. It looks nice but for $50 it better suck my dick.
Man for $50 around here I can get the full experience
The golden 5S does not even look that gold. It is more like champagne when I saw it in real life. Subtle. Samsung and HTC really do not get that making your phones piss colored will not help against the gold iphone.
HTC is making five. This isn't a mass market thing. [editline]8th October 2013[/editline]
My HTC One Mini arrives tomorrow. Looking forward to trying android on something that isn't a tablet.
I really loved the formfactor of that thing. The size was perfect.
So now Play Music is in Mexico... I'm so sorry for you Canadians.
I can't install apps on the Play Store. I keep getting unexpected errors on the website and apps are downloading on my Nexus 4. Why? Is play store having issues for anyone else?
I seriously just can't read some threads because of how dumb things get. People that really think carrying around a bandolier of spare batteries is a good fix to the battery life problem are just beyond reasoning when they're so entrenched in their logic. Unless these people are walking around with cargo pants, it's not reasonable to carry more than one spare battery. I would understand getting a Zerolemon or something and dealing with the consequences of something that looks and feels like a shoe, but the battery life gains from carrying around an extra battery really doesn't make a huge dent if I'm using my phone heavily enough to kill it within 5 hours.
What is this replaceable battery you speak of. :(
Skype has been updated for Tablets. It now has a portrait view!
What is this replaceable battery you speak of. :(
Samsung master race
I've got another year on my contract, I just hope my battery will hold out until then. It's still going strong, but with my luck it'll crap out in the next 6 months.

I just feel like more money could be made making more champagne colored Ones than Five Gold Ones. At the same time it is not to make money, but to market it I guess. Still ugly compared to the iPhone 5S though.
Digital Blasphemy just started doing 1080x1920 wallpapers, for those that have an account.

You can stop reminding us every other page now.
Removable batteries are durability suicide IMO. You're asking for trouble. I'd pit the Maxx up against any other phone for battery life. No need for removable batteries, the OEM's just need to quit designing shit chassis that only fit 2000 MaH packs and quit using software that sucks juice.
With rooting a phone, how long are the various backups and restores supposed to take in the process? For me, on my Optimus L9, they're taking a few seconds, and it doesn't seem like it's working. Anything I could be doing wrong?
Even on minimum brightness my S3 still ignites my retinas when I unlock it at night, yet my iPod touch can go much dimmer and is more comfortable to use it's also the opposite way round in brightness, I can barely see my S3 screen unless it's on full brightness but I can clearly make out my iPod touch screen, I wish samsung would stop using SAMOLED screens they suck balls
Okay we get it, Reddit is stupid and you're superior to everybody on there. Battery life is shit in phones these days, and "carry more batteries" isn't the answer.
For fucks sake, Dolphin, get your shit together. After my S2 I've stopped buying Samsung. Is it a good time for to change to Nexus 4 from my Xperia Z now?
Any good wallpapers (not photos) for lockscreen and menu (aka, background) purposes? HTC One
I would suggest downloading a ZIP archive of all the stock Nexus 7 (2013) wallpapers [editline]9th October 2013[/editline] http://d-h.st/w7E
The "few hundred battery" theory is flawed as hell though. Battery life is shit in phones these days, and "carry more batteries" isn't the answer.
Battery life is shit because the optimization is shit. I've never seen a phone as bloated as my GF's Sprint GS4 with specs that are easily 5-8x better than my phone yet can sometimes be as slow if not slower occasionally. Use less resources, use less battery. Also having a good power efficient screen rather than one which will suck half the battery in 30 mins because it's using a white app or whatever silly stuff happens with Samsung phones.
Samsung have announced the Galaxy Round. Full HD curved display, same specs as the note 3. This seems pretty cool:

Out of all the screens, the S1 still has the best quality screen in terms of colour, gamma and absolutely no ghosting after tuning the screen with CM Tuner. S2 has some disgusting tinting and way too much saturation. S4 has some weird tinting when on lowest brightness and gets ghosting when scrolling. Also the gamma is all weird causing more contrast than what there should be. My HTC Incredible S (used for an entire week last week) LCD screen looks like vomit though in comparison to all these devices.

Guess it'll be a niche device though.
Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only one around on the internet that owns a Moto X. The active display is pretty similar to that, as I can tilt the phone slightly when it has been sitting on my desk to show the time. It's pretty handy.
Chrome has the most insane battery drain I've ever seen. Killed a quarter of the battery on my N7 in around an hour. I don't understand why they don't just use the page renderer from the default browser. It's so much better. Shame the default browser doesn't have any of the sync features from chrome. The default browser also doesn't randomly resize text on forums like chrome does.
