Sammy does cool stuff sometimes http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTQzODQ
They were forced to do it, because, AFAIK, a lot of code was open source one, and if they were going to keep it closed-source, they could get a lot of problems, since GPL forbids this. Yhe most developer-friendly company is Sony, as I heard.
They're one of the only manufacturers who support it, so I'd hope they care a bit
Sony has also started caring, although very recently
I honestly don't like the new changes in how 4.4 looks, I don't know why, but it reminds me slightly of touchwiz. http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/11/new-nexus-5-kitkat-leak-shows-transparent-nav-and-status-bars-new-app-drawer-and-wallpaper-possible-always-on-listening-mode/
Widget tab have always been really annoying to me, since I am not setting widgets often. Well, launcher itself was one of the brightest Samsung ideas...
Android 5.0 better bring some sort of native multi-window feature.
Sony has also started caring, although very recently
If LG doesn't release a 32GB G2 soon and the Nexus 5 doesn't come out in Austria at a decent price (like every other Nexus) I'll get a Z1 for that reason. I'm really confused about the 16GB G2 though. It's such a high end device, yet it has TEN GIGABYTES of usable storage and no way of extending it. That's so ridiculously little, I'd expect more from a Galaxy Y (and rightfully so since it has a µSD slot). [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] Also, remember how I posted a few days ago about how unstable my SGSII is? I installed Sentinel ROM yesterday and it's 4.3, is super stable, very fast and even the battery life is pretty good:
The thing that still drives me fucking nuts about SD cards is I can't put my Google All Access music on it. That's like, 30% of my storage usage. I have my photos saved to my 16GB SD card, which is good because that storage will be ever growing. But I have ~10GB usable on the internal storage and I have 4 gigs of music stored on my phone, so the rest adds up fast.
That Google Now on the far left sounds great. I'd use the fuck out of that. And having it on the left makes more sense than, say, the way Moto did Blur on 4.2 sticking an "add home screen" screen on the farthest right. And I'm not a big fan of the dot-style screen indicators, the line is better. And less samsung-y. I agree, though, all access jams take up a lot of space. I think, if 32GB doesn't becom the norm for internal storage, it may be time to bring back the MP3 player. [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] I still have one, and I only recently quit using it.
If the price is right on them Sony bits with the nice DACs I might buy one for my music. Not worth blowing through all my data with All Access anyway.
If the price is right on them Sony bits with the nice DACs I might buy one for my music. Not worth blowing through all my data with All Access anyway.
I might just factory reset my RAZR HD once I get a new device and pin all my music on it. Use that.
I was going to use my Evo 3D until the headphone jack wasn't working :C
I'm making Carbon ROM my daily driver. Shitloads of functionality (Halo and Hover Window, Active Display) that I actually like and use, stable, good battery life, and they've got Linaro-stuff, which helps a lot on my SGS2 when it comes to performance. Oh and Android 4.3
Holy fuck 4.4 looks nice in those images. Really wish I had a Nexus phone, starting to hate my GS3 more and more, especially now that a new version of Android is being released.
Just got the HTC one, made the switch from the iphone 5 after owning iPhones since the 3gs.. Im finding it odd to adjust to new software but the phone is beautiful!
I was going to use my Evo 3D until the headphone jack wasn't working :C
same here with my razr maxx.
Wow, so there's finally a stable release for CyanogenMod on the Galaxy S2? Everything works? My current firmware is a battery hog, I think now may be the time to change.

10.1 by the looks of it, I would keep checking the site and it would just have nightly builds for my phone, not even a RC. Now to wait another year for a stable 10.2.
Who the fuck thought the new phone icon in 4.4 was a good idea? [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] seriously
This is why I fucking hate what Samsung has done to android. They bill themselves as the quintessential android OEM, and ignorant people fucking believe them! Every single negative thing they day about "android" in this is specific to Touchwiz! http://www.pfeifferreport.com/v2/essays/how-ios-7-stacks-up-smartphone-os-user-experience-shootout/ [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] Disqus is being retarded right now, so I can't comment, but that guy is retarded. [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] Not only is his statistical operationalization flawed, but his definitions are all off and he doesn't know what the fuck Android is.
I had somebody ask me whether I used an iPhone or a Samsung the other day.
I had somebody ask me whether I used an iPhone or a Samsung the other day.
The correct way to respond is "a Samsung? a samsung what? a samsung dishwasher? a samsung radio?" :v:
I hate that fucking company. Just fork android already. Pretty motherfucking please quit subjecting hobbyists and enthusiasts to this kind of ignorance. [editline]11th October 2013[/editline] Really, it's pretty much forked already. Samsung has introduced a competing service or app for literally every single thing Google does on android.
The correct way to respond is "a Samsung? a samsung what? a samsung dishwasher? a samsung radio?" :v:
A Samsung howitzer? :smug:
Yeah I have bluetooth Samsung toilet paper that reads my text messages to my butt
The correct way to respond is "a Samsung? a samsung what? a samsung dishwasher? a samsung radio?" :v:
"Yeah, I have a Samsung flatscreen TV at home"
Yeah I have bluetooth Samsung toilet paper that reads my text messages to my butt
So when did you get the gear?
So when did you get the gear?
Since the S5 came out
Finally got into the Themer Beta. Only to find out that my Note1 is not supported because of it's 16:10 resolution. Any way to load that APK anyways?
