Only the phone one looks vastly different. Nice to see Messaging not there, go Hangouts!
My phone can't even run Hangouts, it's laggy as hell and takes a good minute or so before I can even send a message. :( The CM Messaging app is like everything I could ever want out of a messaging app, Talk is also better for me as my HTC Desire Z was the last high-end phone to not have a front facing camera anyways..
Anyone think it's worth it for me to spend $10 on a replacement Droid X battery (mine exploded last summer from the heat, even though the phone had been sitting off for 5 months by that point) and an OEM USB charger? The battery used to hold a very small charge but now I can't get anything in it at all and I broke it by accidentally doing an OTA update last time I played with it. Unless something has changed, I believe you need the OEM USB wire to get it to go in to bootloader mode to flash another SBF, right? My iPhone is really pissing me off so I'm really tempted to try out my Droid again (until I upgrade in November), but I'm sure I'm forgetting about some of the evils of the device.
In general any QUALITY USB to Micro-USB cable will do.
Oh, I thought it had to be an OEM wire. Seems easier to just grab one for like $5.40 on Amazon (with the wall charger too), otherwise I have to figure out which USB wires at the store are shit and which aren't. [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] We have one of those universal charger wires where you put on the 30-pin iPhone connector or the micro USB and it'll charge but I don't think it would let me flash with it

Do it, flash a recent rom on it, overclock the piss out of it and get some new life out of it until your upgrade. I'm still pretty happy with my HTC G2 until I have to make it do something in a timely manner when in the car, ect.
I'm really cautious of $8 "new" batteries for phones, I've read a few reviews on Amazon where the phone doesn't recognize it as a replacement so it won't show usage/percentages
Again they decided to put the buttons onto the screen...retarded, kinda annoying to play games where you have to sweep your finger from bottom to up.
They make apps that hide those buttons [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] Also: I just noticed that the FCC information on the back of my 2013 nexus 7 is printed in ink that's designed to rub off or fade away. The FCC info is just like, gone Neat
Again they decided to put the buttons onto the screen...retarded, kinda annoying to play games where you have to sweep your finger from bottom to up.
The only upside of on-screen button that I care about is being able to hold the bottom of your device in landscape mode without accidentally triggering capacitive ones. Otherwise I find physical ones a lot more practical
Well, another upside is that your home button won't pack in from taking a beating everyday from your finger/thumb. [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] Now that I look at some mock-ups of the 4.4 launcher, I take back what I said about it. Holy shit, help! I have a rooted HTC One and I had a virus that was making all of my apps stop and none of my malware apps detected anything (I download every single one I could find when it happened). Anyways, I disabled NFC Enabler because I thought it was fake and I think I ended up deleting it because I'm pretty sure that was the source of my issue. I need NFC though! I'm doing a speech on it this Wednesday and I bought tags so I could demonstrate it, but it's not available under settings. Does anyone know where I can download the .apk from?
Also: I just noticed that the FCC information on the back of my 2013 nexus 7 is printed in ink that's designed to rub off or fade away. The FCC info is just like, gone Neat
And it leaves no residue/scratches around it? Fucking AWESOME. I hope that's the case for the Nexus 5, too. Stupid information nobody cares about bothers me on my Nexus 4. NEXUS sign and LG logo, everything else fuck off pls.
Instead of an .apk or whatever, I guess I'll just reinstall the stock rom, it's not even worth it, and I'm hoping it will have NFC built in.. please god.
... How the fuck did you even manage to install a virus? Hell, where did you find one? First you have to find the damn thing, then you have to install it, then the malware pop-up comes on, so you have to ignore that... I don't even...

Anyways, I know I wouldn't have completely removed the NFC entry on the phone, but I can't find it in System Tuner, which is where I would have uninstalled it.
I think the solution is don't download apks from untrusted sources?
The dialer icon still stands out like a sore thumb.
Yeah, that one still bugs me. [editline]12th October 2013[/editline]
shame on you, this is the reason why people don't bother making apps for android or moving their iOS apps over
Because Jailbroken iDevices doesn't exist
Okay what the fuck In the latest version of Chrome, if I go to a specific website, search for something on it, then scroll through the results, my tablet vibrates as I scroll It's like a tactile feedback thing, vibrates faster as I scroll harder But it only happens on the search results of this one website
Anyone of you could upload the APK of this? My phone isn't supported because of the Screen resolution.
shame on you, this is the reason why people don't bother making apps for android or moving their iOS apps over
I'm selling an Android app and even though it has a pretty bad rating (3.4 stars) and isn't all that original, against all expectations, it's selling really well. I can't complain :v: [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] I met a paramedic once who had pirated my app though, it was fun when I told him I was the developer.
will my nexus 7 charge faster if i use USB and wireless charging at the same time
shame on you, this is the reason why people don't bother making apps for android or moving their iOS apps over
I don't see why it's such a big fucking deal that I asked if it was possible to get NFC back. It might even be the ROM I'm currently running on my device. I never use NFC, but I chose it as an emerging technology for a topic for a speech class. It was months ago that my phone was being fucky, I figured it was malware. I'm pretty sure disabling NFC was the root of it. Anyways, I guess I'll just flash the Stock ROM. I'm sure I'm the only person ever to have an issue with my Android phone.
I'm really cautious of $8 "new" batteries for phones, I've read a few reviews on Amazon where the phone doesn't recognize it as a replacement so it won't show usage/percentages
It's a Motorola battery, if you're concerned about that it's sometimes common with old stock batteries same with any xbox 360 controller rechargeable to not hold a charge at all. Ankers makes good replacement batteries which are recently manufactured. I'm pretty sure I'm holding out on a new phone until the Nexus 5. I hear there's a chance it'll be released next Tuesday. Anyway, how fast do the new Nexus phones sell out? Will I need to be sitting watching for a buy page to pop up, or will I at least have the day to buy one and get it in a reasonable delivery time?
Anyone of you could upload the APK of this? My phone isn't supported because of the Screen resolution.
I've got you covered, uploading now.
After seeing those 4.4 pictures i really want the new launcher or atleast a theme. Damn, why do i always like then new stuff even when they are not that pretty?
I was laying in bed for like, two hours this morning playing Game Dev story. Are there any more games with that sort of gameplay on Android?
Uploaded, just make sure that you've actually got a code https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20973870/HoloYolo/com.mycolorscreen.themer.ver.BETA.1.5.build.105.apk
