So, someone created an 4.4 icon pack (Phone and Drawer are the ones on the pack, the other icons are the HOLO icon pack, available on the play store).

Also, i know, i have a bad taste for themes, if someone could give me hints on how to make a cool homescreen, please let me know.
I downloaded Nova launcher and HTC sense app, looks pretty cool :)
Yay, $50 in Playstore credit so far, gotta love a time based competition. Still can't find anything to buy
So I can use a i9300 paranoid android with a i9305n if I backup my EFS partion?
I am pretty sure you can only use i9305 ROMs due to hardware differences in the i9300.
According to XDA:
Any I9305 ROM will work on any I9305. The letter at the end is irrelevant

Yep, just not any radio, that one is region-specific (on the I9305).

Doesn't the Captivate use the i9000 base? If so, that was so fucking easy to work with. Gear Kernel + CM10.2 and you're laughing.
It was easy to work with except for the part where the Captivate shipped with defective bootloaders for some units that made it way too easy to brick.
i disagree, my htc one is running 4.3 sense, & it's smooth & bug less iirc htc is the only oem which has released 4.3
Sense 5.5 is already leaked for the One, it actually looks really nice. Blinkfeed can be disabled and they also added RSS feeds and a bunch of other features to it, etc.
Aside from the Note 3 which runs 4.3 out of the box.
That's hardly an achievement. By that logic, it was a good idea back when HTC was launching a phone every update with the new version, but leaving everything else behind in the dust.
So about that 4.3 for One in September, HTC...
That was for American phones and it didn't get the Sense 5.5 update. Europe/the rest of the world is getting 4.3 and Sense 5.5 some time around November.
[editline]14th October 2013[/editline]
Also, the One Max is meh. They really shouldn't have made a removable back cover like that, the fingerprint sensor should've been deleted in favor of a Snapdragon 800, and a stylus should've been part of the phone's design.
What's the best rom for the S3? I've heard it has a weird processor so everything kind of sucks.
Is it just Cyanogenmod? I'm tired of being on 4.1.2 so I want to do something about it.

There was a 4.2 leak which is pretty nice. I was using it up until switching to the Note 3
CyanogenMod should also be on 4.3 by now, although could be buggy. Though it works fine on my Note 2 which shares the Exynos 4412 with the (international) S3.
If your S3 has the quad core processor it's probably the Exynos 4412. Yeah, lack of official drivers make it a little buggy, but the worst I've ever gotten is some faint graphical glitches which go away in the blink of an eye.

I thought they were skipping 4.2 and just going straight on to 4.3 for the Touchwiz one

I have the SGH-I747m, I think that's just the dual core one
Yeah that's dual core. Well I see ParanoidAndroid and LiquidSmooth for your phone - PA is its own beast and LiquidSmooth is a mod of CyanogenMod. Both are 4.3, stock. If that interests you here are the links for both:

I personally use LiquidSmooth on my Note 2 and it's nice and snappy, but I have no idea how it will perform on the dual core processor (probably fine since it's not like phones use all 4 cores anyway.)
ParanoidAndroid is pretty good too, it offers a lot more customization than cyanogenmod.
Haven't had any problems with it on my Gnex. also using the latest franco kernel.

[editline]15th October 2013[/editline]
there were two leaks, not sure if trhat's the second one
Only if PA had better UIs, i would keep it. I personally liked CyanogenMod a lot.
I resurrected my Gnex, this is one tough mofo (water damage). Previously the phone wouldn't boot up anymore and the Google logo would spaz out.
Only thing is, I think there's a piece of hardware that's fubar. The phone works normally and can connect to WiFi, but not any data network. I've spent a lot of time looking around and some people said to try reflashing the radio, but my other problem is that my computer won't recognize the phone. I've tried a bunch of different things but no luck yet.
There are a lot of things in phone status that are unknown as well:
-Baseband
-Network
-Mobile network type
-MIN
-PRL Version
-IMEI
-ICCID
I'm starting to run out of ideas, does anyone here know anything about these problems?
either your radio is corrupted, or your actual hardware radio is broke
not worth fixing imo
I replaced it last Spring but I've been trying to fix it just for the hell of it. At least it still works with wifi so it's basically just a media player now.
I'll keep trying to get the USB connection back so I can mess with roms and stuff.

How's regular CM on the SGH-I747m? Since it's not the one with the weird processor I assume it's fine?
I'm mostly leaning towards CM since I'm a total noob when it comes to this and all the documentation I've found about it is really noob-friendly

Oddly enough my GNex fell from my lap a couple weeks ago and the only thing that doesn't work on it is the cell connection. I gave it to my dad who uses it as a media player at work because his Blackberry has too small of a screen for stuff like that. I tried fixing it but ended up replacing it with a GE HTC One.

I've got the latest CM nightly running on an SGH-I747m right now, and it's pretty stable. The latest stable release was built 3 weeks ago so you can grab that.
latest CM on SGH-I747m A++++
How long until that auto installer thing they're building hits prime time

In my experience, "stable" releases of CM are so much less reliable than nightlies. Just download latest nightly and flash. If there is an issue then either install the night before's build (odds are issue was created in current nightly) or wait for the next build (issue probably fixed or rolled back)
Looked for a feature list in Sense 5.5, they still not added a "close all" button in the multitasking menu? Is there a reason for that? It's stupid IMO to just swipe all the apps away til there are none left
I'll just go ahead and laugh quietly whilst running 4.3 on my i9100.
Which custom rom you using :P?

it's early stages, but I really like the aesthetic. Little more polished than Klyph.
I suppose that's also using the official Facebook API, so it won't display 100% of your timeline in some cases.

So I backed up my EFS partion with EFS professional, if I now install a i9305 paranoid android rom and thenwith EFS professional press restore on EFS partion, i will have mobile signal + paranoid android?
Has anybody else here used Aviate? I had the alpha for a couple months, and just couldn't understand the hype.
