So this is something I've only recently noticed since I go to college downtown now, but why do people do this shit? And by this shit I mean walk around with the phone on speaker and call people. It looks so unbelievably stupid and impractical
They want everyone to listen on to their conversation and then yell at them for listening on their private conversation.
I'm actually writing part of my dissertation on why people do that. Dissertation is mostly about the concept of gestures.
I will never understand the faith people put in Samsung's design and build. They haven't released a well built phone since the S2.
I was using a Galaxy Nexus from work for a while before getting a smartphone myself and the S2 I got feels nasty to use in comparison. The shape is just so much better and feels more sturdy too.
Since I've updated Skype, has anyone noticed skype being a piece of shit (more than usual?) half the time I try to pull up a conversation it freezes and crashes. most of the time I call someone or doesn't have the dialtone and it runs FOREVER and when I try to end calls it freezes and crashes. Don't even get me started with video calls either. They work, but the program freezes like mad trying to switch have cameras/turn the video OFF. A reinstall hasn't fixed it either. WHYYY Also, once I tried to close it and it ended up starting again, to which I tried signing out again and it started again. This happened about 10 times before it stopped starting again. This is on my bloody s4 for God's sake
I will never understand the faith people put in Samsung's design and build. how the fuck does it look like its inspired by nature? I've stopped using Samsung after the S2. Sony is the way to go now.
BBM seems utterly pointless to me and honestly I've never even heard of it til now.
Great now everyone I actually talk to (at school) uses it. If anyone online on this wants to chat with me, there's always Steam chat
Just updated to 4.3 then rooted. Seems they patched the exploit to get around needing to unlock the boot loader. Don't know what custom ROM I should use now (nexus7) any suggestions?
Oh god is this an emerging trend? I haven't seen it yet.
Everyone downtown does this it pisses me off so much. I've never seen anyone really do it outside of campus/downtown
I've stopped using Samsung after the S2. Sony is the way to go now.
I've wanted to like Sony but for some reason they have some really vomitware screens.
Fired up FoxFi and played some Ingress on the transformer. The game is gorgeous on the Super IPS+ display, and the GPS performs better than either of my phones.
Oh god is this an emerging trend? I haven't seen it yet.
I notice older people tend to do this. For some reason, they hold the phone up to their mouths, and then listen to the speakerphone next to their ear. If its getting to the point that you can't hear your phone without speakerphone going up to your ear, I think it may be time to look into hearing aids.
So I got my hands on an S4 Mini at work today, and it's surprisingly decent. Nice, quick, screen is vibrant - I'd actually use it as my daily driver. I mean, the screen is relatively low in PPI but it's not too bad to look at for most things.
Seriously my black HTC one has metal colored spots on the back even though it's been in the case since the beginning. It fell out of its case once, which caused some of these spots, but others are completely new.
I've noticed some weird inhomogeneities on the finish from pocket lint in the case sticking to the back. It doesn't bug me, but the finish doesn't seem particularly durable.
I'm not sure it is on the iPhone either. Really sucks, since they both look pretty slick in black.
I'm not sure it is on the iPhone either. Really sucks, since they both look pretty slick in black.
It's weird too, phones like the Nexus One/Desire HD/Sensation had some pretty tough coatings in comparison, no idea what happened.
It finally happened. My Nexus 4 has battle scars. Managed to drop it multiple times this week thanks to various coughing fits, the back survived every single one, but the bottom plastic now has a small dent from the case that was meant to protect it digging in. It lasted just over a month I think. Still enjoying the phone mind, not hard to do when you've come off a worn 3GS :v: Though does anyone else with one have slight heat issues when browsing Facepunch on it? It seems to be the only thing that causes the phone to heat up noticeably strangely.
You're lucky you have a nexus 4, when I browse facepunch with my Tegra 3 phone it burns my hand off.
well this doesn't make any sense, trying to help a friend install skype but there's no space left for some reason log files or something?
Try running SD Maid [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] ... if you can install it
Try running SD Maid [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] ... if you can install it
thanks, log files were taking 1.8gb for some reason
I was expecting the cache to be huge
thanks, log files were taking 1.8gb for some reason
I use to get that bug using CM10.x on my old GalaxyS2
Everytime I try using the Amazon appstore it freezes my device, anyone else get this problem?
What device and what ROM?
My cousin asked me to look at his phone the other day because everytime he opened the play store the store crashed. I tried uninstalling all updates to the store, but didn't get a chance to see if it fixed it :v: Any thoughts on what it could be? I believe his phone is a Droid 4, with a fold out qwerty keyboard, stock rom and everything. He bought it off craigslist.

I probably would've cleared the cache too, but yeah.

Maybe it's still a WIP port.
