nah, I googled and a lot of people have the same issue. it's also not that bad, but noticeable in low light [editline]30th October 2013[/editline] Good ol' Evo 3d
I have it, I only noticed it recently, though.
Wonder if this nexus 5 release this friday is true, If so just camp the google store and hope to grab one at midnight? Really want to switch from my 5 so that way I can have GPS and SMS on glass finally. Don't like the bloat on all the other android phones and don't want to have to play around with them just to remove it all (aka i like stock goodness)
RIP Amoled Screens
good
California Cop tickets woman for driving with Google Glass Chickenshit cop doesn’t know a goddamn thing about Glass, I guarantee you that. As it says in the article, if that dick can’t prove the woman was watching a YouTube video or something, she should have been let go. When you give power to the ignorant, this is what happens.
Can't read shit on the ticket, but a couple comments on that page and on a reddit discussion point out she was speeding, so the ticket may be justified. Besides, as always, we don't know the full story. But come on everyone, let's go bash cops because it's cool.
Really excited now that I've picked up my new Nexus 7 (2013) from the Post Office! Any defects or problems should I look out for though?

Yay, my Asus shitpad is having more problems It randomly started flipping shit and scrolling like mad if I touched anything, the "show touch location" thing showed random spots all over the top edge of the screen I thought "software bullshit" until I gently pressed the top of the bezel and it went crazier, I gently pulled the back cover and moved it the opposite way, not it's mostly fine with one spot that freaks out if you touch it I'm getting close to replacing this with the store warranty and selling it to some poor bastard

I think Asus products just suck. Replace it, sell it off and buy something not awful.

Besides, as always, we don't know the full story. But come on everyone, let's go bash cops because it's cool.
The speeding isn't so much the issue. The problem is that, unless the cop can prove she was 1) using glass at all, or 2) using it for something other than nav, then the ticket for glass (a hands-free nav device) is unjustified. She has to be presumed innocent and, under the verbage of the law, Glass is OK as long as you're using nav. As I can't see any possible way for the cop to prove she was using the device inappropriately, I am forced to assume that the cop is ignorant of the law, what Glass is, or both (probably both). [editline]30th October 2013[/editline]
Happened when I owned my VivoTab. I think Asus products just suck. Replace it, sell it off and buy something not awful.
Am I the only one that got a good transformer? I can't think so, because my friend's is as good as mine. I really do think that the people complaining about asus's "poor build quality" are just a very vocal minority. Not to say that the complaints aren't legitimate. By all means, if you spend the money you should expect a properly built item. But I don't see why a person wouldn't just replace it under warranty rather than jumping ship entirely.
I've noticed in some videos that Android phones without physical buttons have back and home buttons always visible on screen. Does this impact usability in any way? Do they remove much from the size of the screen when playing games?
There's the whole spirit of the law thing. The cop is enforcing letter of the law, not spirit.
I don't even think that. The law states that devices which aide the maneuvering of the vehicle are OK. this is the exception for Nav. My OG RAZR maxx has the same usable screen space as my RAZR HD.
Yeah, but the cop mentioned a device by name. Still, I'm not exactly a proponent for driving distractions, so I think she shouldn't have worn it anyway, but the Glass' primary purpose is not navigation. Mobile phones have the GPS capability too and I think anyone who so much as holds a phone while driving is an idiot and deserves a ticket. Let the courts figure out where Glass stands in automobile safety before potentially risking your life.

And navigation is one of glass's primary functions. And theres literally no difference between using your phone for nav and using a Garmin.
Hell my phone is bigger than my friends Garmin and I use my phone mounted on my trucks dash to get me places.
Friend uses a Nexus 7 (2012) for navigating, mounted on the windshield. It's brilliant.
Hell my phone is bigger than my friends Garmin and I use my phone mounted on my trucks dash to get me places.
Congrats, that's not illegal.
What of the "mini" devices are better? Galaxy S4 Mini, or HTC One mini?

Looking forward to the nexus 5. All kinds of websites say there will be a reveal tomorrow (on the 31st), true or just speculation?
