i tried installing and then restoring a font pack and now my phone is stuck in a boot animation again :( (4.4)
The fact that Nexus 5 costs ~$630/700 (for 16GB and 32GB versions respectively) in Poland makes me very upset. My brother is planning to buy my SGS2 and thought "might as well get the new Nexus". But after seeing those prices, I guess this may not be an option after all.
Can that even be done?
Wouldn't want to even think that if you're in Australia, none of the LTE bands match so it'll just be a 3G phone.
So, I'm looking for a Bluetooth gamepad for my tablet (Nexus 7), so I can more easily play some emulator games. I heard PS3 ones should work, but they need some paid sixaxis app. XBox controllers work out-of-the-box in some games, but I don't have a wired one, and bringing my adapter and USB OTG cable along is kind of a hassle. Can anyone recommend one?
I really like the SIXAXIS one because it has touch emulation.
I really like the SIXAXIS one because it has touch emulation.
This, the touch emulation is really useful, it lets you use controllers on games that don't support them, like beat hazard
God damn it. Skype synced itself with the People app again. Is there any way to mass delete contacts?
They should automatically get deleted when you turn off sync in skype.
I really like the SIXAXIS one because it has touch emulation.
Does the Sixaxis app have the capability of changing the D-Pad buttons to work as another button and still have the analog stick working like a D-Pad? I saw the other day that it updated with support for the PS Move Navigation Controller and it doesn't have the same amount of buttons as a regular PS3 controller so I wondered if it was possible to map the D-Pad buttons to the missing buttons.
My nexus 5 has been sat in the parcelforce north London depot for almost 24 hours :( sort your shit out parcelforce. [editline]2nd November 2013[/editline] It says its been delivered on google play too, now I'm worried.
I can't decide between the HTC one Mini or the Nexus 5. I like the look of both but the nexus 5 seems a little too big for me. I had the chance to try both out today - but it didn't really help since they were both great. I currently have a Galaxy Nexus.
Those of you with the Galaxy Nexus, you're in luck, two 4.4 ROMs to choose from, some bugs though. http://m.pocketnow.com/2013/11/02/android-4-4-kitkat-builds-for-galaxy-nexus?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Why not just go with the Moto X if you're looking at the One Mini? Unless you can't get it, in which case the One Mini is around the right size.

I've completely fallen in love with Nexus 7, this thing is brilliant. It's small enough to carry anywhere, big enough to properly type with, and the ratio is perfect for portrait usage, and Jesus, the battery life.
I even switched from dalvik to ART and haven't run into any FCs or anything, but I don't use many non-google apps.
gibe detailed report pls any performance enhancements you see with ART instead of dalvik? I realize it's way too soon to ask for battery differences, but if you notice anything, do post.
Damn. The Nexus 5 doesn't seem to have an IR blaster. I really wanted to screw with this loud AC unit in one of my classes.
My nexus 5 shipped out today
I have one of those, but it's broken(it wont turn on). When I plug it to the charger there's a led in the upper right corner that lights green. sometimes it lights red. How can I bring this frankenstein back to life?
Plug it into a computer, see if your computer will reconize and communicate with it. On your computer, you should see your phone. If not, put a microSD card in it and see if you can use it as a card reader. How did it break? Did it just magically become a bricked potato?
Too bad you can't send SMS through Hangouts, currently it goes through your carrier like any other SMS. It's just an SMS/MMS viewing and sending app, which is nice but it would be awesome if it will send SMS through Hangouts, not my carrier.
Do you mean that on your end it would go through WiFi/data, but the other person would receive it as an SMS? That's a Google Voice feature, so I don't see them adding it to Hangouts. And Google Voice probably won't come to Canada any time soon. They'd need to set up the infrastructure to handle virtual Canadian phone numbers.

I read somewhere that you can get it to work in Canada but it's not a Canada number. It would be awesome if it would work...
Are there any KitKat kernel ports for N4? Just curious, altrough some people report performance issues, i have none.
Where is garychencool when you need him.
You called?
This is how the bugger is acting when plugged to pc or charger: Whilst pressing power button to turn it on it blinks 3 times in red, quickly.
I have now realised how small and how much of a potato that phone is, God bless you, Gary, for putting up with that "phone".
My nexus 5 shipped out today
Did it just say "pending" until it actually shipped? That's what I'm getting on the google play order page.
I'm not sure if I should fork out 400 for a Nexus 5 if I already have a Note 2. I'm just really interested in the nexus line of phones. What do you guys think?
Wouldn't want to even think that if you're in Australia, none of the LTE bands match so it'll just be a 3G phone.
Wait are the Nexus 5 phones on the Australian Play store not LTE compatible with Telstra, Optus and Vodafone bands? [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline] Because the play store says 2G/3G/4G LTE GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8 LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20 If it isn't LTE compatible then I smell some lawsuits
I've found a Nexus 5 contract, unlimited texts/calls and 250mb data, free phone, £21 a month. Fuck, I think I'm gonna go for it. It's like £10 cheaper because of the lower data but I think I'll be alright, the only time I'll be using the data might be on the train between work and home (I'll have WiFi access elsewhere) to reply to facebook messages/browse twitter etc. Should be fine, right?
