Can anyone get the widget paper setting to stick in the latest nightly of CyanogenMod? It won't enable and every time I close the settings app and go back in, it unchecks itself. I have a Galaxy S4 and its been like this since I flashed CyanogenMod on my phone.
I've been using purely the Google Keyboard after getting my Nexus 7, but I think I'll test out SwiftKey now. It's way fucking smaller, not sure if I like that.
You can change the keyboard size
You can change the keyboard size
Yeah, I found the option after posting. It's way better after I made the keyboard bigger. The prediction is so damn good, I can just bruteforce through sentences, instead of slowly typing them.
So I just got my LG G2. I'm liking it so far, my hands are too small to reach every corner of the screen though :(. Also, how do I send emojis?!
So, i dont know if you guys already knew but, this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockstargames.ifruit has been released 2 days ago.
YAY my Nexus 5 is finally in the country, watching it travel from Hong Kong over the weekend, shipment was a container with 1980KG of Nexus bound for Brisbane.
Been using 4.3 on my HTC One for a while now, and boy do I miss the old PDF viewer, Polaris Office is functional but noticeably slower, which annoys the living shit out of me. Also I now have an NFC icon on my status bar, don't know why that was a good idea. I'm loving everything else though, don't mind the removal of the zoom bar (it's now pinch to zoom) for the camera, since nobody with half a brain cell would use digital zoom on a phone camera. Or any camera.
ordered a Nexus 5
Oh man, that app rating...
The iOS version sucks ass, its no surprise really.

The only videos with DRM I guess are like paid Youtube videos and Netflix. There's a few edited stock roms which have promise but CleanROM has been a constant let down.

My nexus 5 is 50 miles away so I'll likely get it today or tomorrow
God, the NFC icon is on international ROMs now? US carrier variants all had that in the ROM and it drove me nuts.
It's on my LG G2 also, it's so horrible looking it was probably the first thing I did with the phone was turn off NFC.
It's on my LG G2 also, it's so horrible looking it was probably the first thing I did with the phone was turn off NFC.
It's not even about the logo, it's about space. On custom ROMs I disable a bunch of icons for things that don't change, like vibrate/alarm, just to keep a cleaner status bar.

Just received my Nexus 5 in the mail! Does anyone else feel bad about using brand new gadgets? I don't want to ruin the freshness with my grubby human hands.
Just received my Nexus 5 in the mail! Does anyone else feel bad about using brand new gadgets? I don't want to ruin the freshness with my grubby human hands.
This is why we need phones that we can control with our minds.
I must admit, the haptic feedback on the N5 is no where near as nice as the N4.
I picked up a N5 White over the weekend and have a black one in the post to me which I need to return .. Needed a Micro Sim card for it though, so can't actually use it till Tuesday :@
My nexus 5 came, and by lord it's quick compared to my S3 and that wasn't exactly sluggish
I picked up a N5 White over the weekend and have a black one in the post to me which I need to return .. Needed a Micro Sim card for it though, so can't actually use it till Tuesday :@
Just cut your current Sim card.
Just cut your current Sim card.
Didn't work for some reason.. iirc there is only 3 ways to put it in and none worked, but the sim works in my old phone even after being cut, so no idea really :\ Does the sim card chip face up or down? and I don't know much about Sim Cards but is it possible to have an old 'chip' because looking on google images they seem a lot smaller on new 'regular' cards and mine is quite big, been using it for around 6 years maybe a bit more.
the place I bought my Nexus 5 from will only have them back in stock on the 15th of November, christ that is going to be a painful wait
swiping is awesome imo. incredibly easy to write quickly with one hand.
I can't swipe, I don't understand how people do it. I end up swiping to a letter but then halfway through I'm like "no wait wrong letter" or "no wait wrong word" and it messes everything up :v:
What phone do you have now garychen?
