/r/android has been a mess lately since all of the updates and releases
Any subreddit is generally terrible unless you have crazy strict good mods like /r/weightroom does.
The most annoying part is that they seem to be completely unable to understand the different between Google pushing a software update out, and some dude throwing shit together and releasing it. Google has a legal responsibility to make sure that the phone doesn't crash when someone gets run over by a car and you need to call 911, the dude taking random commits from a kernel tree he found on a server in China doesn't need to do that.

I got bored so I decided to hook it up for fun Browsing and stuff seemed to be faster Shortcuts are cool and useful
Oh quit whining, I'm still using a Desire Z
So was I until a week ago. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5601782/Screenshot_1980-01-16-09-41-12.png[/t] Hell, there's some serious progress for 4.3 from NeverGone and Flinny but I'm pretty sure they halted it for the imminent 4.4 [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16268774/android43_2.jpg[/t] [editline]5th November 2013[/editline]
Oh my god yes, I love my LG G2. I love the on screen buttons so much more than a physical button, 32GB is plenty of space for me, and I find the stock software pretty good (with NovaLauncher though). Snapchat definitely has some issues with the camera but that's not really the phone's fault, it's plenty powerful. Knock knock is goddamn amazing.
Be sure to set a double tap gesture in Nova to an app like Screen Off and Lock so that you can have Knock Off built into the launcher again. There's a pretty neat Xposed plugin for the stock rom too.
CM is probably still on 10.2 for my Skyrocket (new versions always take a while), and even if they had 4.3/4.4 I lost my build computer so it wouldn't do me any damn good.
With all the visual changes since Honeycomb can we really still call it Holo?
Isn't it now called the Cards UI or some shit?
Isn't it now called the Cards UI or some shit?
That's the in-app layout's name where the UI is based on, well, cards, like Google Now. The system UI is very much still Holo-style, but the colours did change in 4.4, so that makes it a bit difficult to say what the hell is going on.
10.2 Snapshot less stable than Nightlies. Ugh, it broke WiFi. I wouldn't say #33b5e5 is abandoned entirely, I think they were just trying to tone down the Tron-ness a bit. [editline]6th November 2013[/editline] I wish Google would implement chameleonic status bars. I have an Xposed module that does that - it sets the colour of the status bar to match that of the action bar of the currently active app. It looks really nice, in my opinion.

YEAH, THE TRANSPARENCIES ARE REALLY PRETTY. [editline]6th November 2013[/editline] Wow, caps lock.
Fun fact. Google's design aesthetic has a name - Kennedy. So Holo was basically the idea behind 4.0 ,and Kennedy has been the aesthetic more or less since then.
It's not that I don't believe you, but sauce? Because I'd like to read more about this.

welp kennedy yolo seems a bit insensitive if you think about it
#KENNEDYYOLO just doesn't have the same ring to it. [editline]6th November 2013[/editline] god dammit person11
Today is the last day that I'll have to use this piece of shit: [t]http://cdn-static.cnet.co.uk/i/product_media/40000816/image1/440x330-chacha-main.jpg[/t] It has been a good 2 years, it's been through a lot - it has a hefty dent in the metal plate on the back from when I fell of my bike... it has several scratches, a chip in one corner from when I threw it at a wall because Twitter crashed, and the Q key falls off if you hold the phone facing downwards. Also since sticking 4.1 on it the battery life is around 4 hours. Goodbye HTC Status, hello Nexus 5.
Why did you even buy a HTC Chacha when the Desire Z was around? Were you a former Blackberry user?
Any subreddit is generally terrible
The inherent nature of Reddit literally fosters circlejerking.
Why did you even buy a HTC Chacha when the Desire Z was around? Were you a former Blackberry user?
We're not all millionaires.
We're not all millionaires.
They had the same pricetag, and they were released at pretty much the same time..
If I remember correctly I did have the choice between the two, yet I went for the ChaCha. I have absolutely no idea why. I think I just preferred the keyboard, even though it meant that hardly any apps were supported (Android is basically running in landscape mode all the time so when it comes to apps with no landscape capability you have to tilt the phone on its side and it looks ridiculous) and I have a lot less screen space. Don't get me wrong though, it was a reasonably good phone when it was new it's just very very poorly aged.

What's the worst Android phone ever made? Shitty no-name Chinese manufacturers don't count.
What's the worst Android phone ever made? Shitty no-name Chinese manufacturers don't count.
Most of the phones that run Froyo/Gingerbread with not enough RAM for it
I'm still on Desire, I considered installing ICS, but got a friendly reminder regarding memory issues and decided to leave it alone. You've just seen it above. I can't imagine something worse. Well, maybe Galaxy Y...
Most of the phones that run Froyo/Gingerbread with not enough RAM for it
Sure, I'd imagine it'd come out of that era. But even one of those numerous shitbricks has to be a top competitor for worst phone ever.
